HogWarp is a cooperative online multiplayer mod in active development for Hogwarts Legacy on PC, from the same team that created Skyrim Together. These test builds are being made available to Patreon supporters. This is the first build but more features are being worked on, so this is not indicative of the final product. I am not associated with the developers, I am just a tester. Once ready for a public release, it will be free for everyone.

i REALLY hope you guys work on a FiveM inspired version of this, imagine FiveM but in Hogwarts Legacy.. the roleplay and the amount of shit you can add in because the games on Unreal Engine too! you could actually make an amazing game and probably add more locations other than the Hogwarts region!

The game was built for Single Player. Making the game multiplayer you sacrifice a lot of elements that can only exist in single player games. But yes, I would prefer it to be multiplayer. Game is too easy to be single player :P

I'm curious: will be possible to make Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer like FiveM? I mean, like a hundred people in the same server roleplaying and doing voice chatting and stuff... that would be so great

The goal for HogWarp is to provide a coop and RP experience meant for 2 to 8 players. But similarly to Skyrim Together, the same team behind this project, it can probably handle a lot more than that especially since this game is using Unreal Engine 4. In the future, it will probably be possible for a more "FiveM-like" experience but that is not their goal right now.
Also a lot of people forget that FiveM is so great because GTA V is a multiplayer game already. Hogwarts Legacy is strictly single player so it won't be impossible to make an amazing multiplayer experience, however it will be a lot more complicated and take more time to reverse engineer, synchronize everything, and then have custom scripting and other mods.

Via internet. Check out @TheTogetherTeam channel to see 10 players. Could have been more if more testers were present.

It's not synced yet but is being worked on.
Wow! I'm so impressed by the quick work. So are you both able to fight enemies? And the enemies attack you both separately? Couldn't tell by the video but it looked like it.
The enemies attacking us and syncing seems more coincidental because not much work had gone into that aspect yet. However, yes from a couple of brief tests it seemed like enemies can attack separately. As far as doing and receiving damage from enemies, it doesn't seem synced yet. That will be worked on over time.
Here's the latest patch notes for the new build after the one in this video:
Change log 0.1.1:
- Fixed Jumping breaking the game.
- Other players now do not look like the player, gender and house are synchronized, everything else is random for now.
- Fixed bug where if another player dies, it also ends your game.
- Improved running animation, players do not strafe anymore.

@@techommie You can follow the lead developer if you wish. You won't see HogWarp there because they're not planning on open-sourcing it until it's ready for release or otherwise decided by them. You can find partial source for "PolyJuice", a loader he has created that HogWarp is using. The best place to stay up to date on this mod is the Discord server linked in the video description and subscribing to The Together Team TH-cam.

So exciting! But I know some players will demand pvp just to make the game more challenging
Well. Dur? If there's online we want pvp. The fact this isn't already built like GTA is a huge disappointment. We wanted aspects of Bully and Hogwarts Sim.
P.s ignore sell missions. Everything else I want. Even aurors chasing you for using dark magic in certain zones lmao. I want all the chaos.
@ねこ男の子 that's a dumb af broad statement. Nobody wants pvp, especially pvp in an unrestricted non dev mod. You already sound like the type of person to be greifing. The fact you even mentioned it to be like gta online makes it even worse. Also, were all students, tf we doing fighting each other? Unless it's a spell duel in class or sum

When it's ready. If you wish to test it, you just need to be Grown Otter on Patreon and link Discord to it.
This is cool but knowing how replication works in unreal engine I have high doubts unless they uncover the original code of the game that this will ever work properly. :(
Movement is replicated automatically, but everything else is a bit more complicated...
I think HL had co-op or multiplayer mode and devs secretly removed it 🤔
Hogwarts Legacy had no plans for multiplayer. There's zero multiplayer code in the game. The HogWarp mod is built from the ground up like Skyrim Together.
