Something to keep in mind from my experience: the DDJ 400 mixes so much easier than other pioneer controllers. I work for a company that uses DDJ SXs and lemme tell you, I use the beat sync so much for some reason, when on the 400 I don't need it. Weird
How come your hot cues, pad fx and beat jump sections are visualised according to the physical location on the DDJ-400? It's displayed as ABCD EFGH Whereas in my case (performance mode) they all are displayed like this A E B F C G D H This makes things very confusing and error-sensitive. Because you can't hit the buttons intuitively. You need to spatially "translate" it first. Is it a setting or related to hardware /OS/resolution?
