    I am really happy they took the intake design from the speed and put it on the street. Besides aesthetics it's a nice continuity between the two bikes.

    I will be keeping my 2013 STR. It's still fast, beautiful, comfortable, agile and reliable. Everything I look for in a bike. Nothing wrong with the new one.

    I love Triumph's style. They are a little old fashioned but the performance is insane with the 675 bikes. The 3 cylinder is the best sounding motorcycle engine in my opinion, it sounds better than the R1 crossplane engine.

    Looking at the prices I would still go with the Z900 that seems to be the bang for the buck motorcycle of this year. The street triple does look nice though.

    Nice one Bike World, looks like Triumph were a bit more accommodating for the press on this one. Looking forward to trying this one out. Would be good to see what Smo thinks of it if you can get him on the press launch too :)

    • @joaosoares3719

    What are going to be the service intervals on this bike?

    • @detroitsfastfem3065
      @detroitsfastfem3065 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally about every 10,000 on these. I recommend oil change once a year depending on seat time and how you ride. Since the T4 oil lubricates he whole engine all those parts in movement like fresh oil. :)

  • @v4forlife
    @v4forlife 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It will no doubt be an awesome bike, but 'Once in a generation a motorcycle comes along that changes everything'.......come on triumph. You have finally put a gear indicator on, haha, and the power increase...well if you went up the 100cc and didn't see a good power and torque hike, I would be asking questions. That aside, good video guys.

    Nice work done there Triumph... but have all of your designers gone colorblinded?
    What happened during the past few years to the unique and gorgeous paintings Triumph used to have? No more roulette greens, blues, metalic oranges, racing yellows, brittish racing greens etc...? Seems like the only colors available to have on your bike, is black, grey, white, and some red - if you are lucky. Wether it is a sport street bike, a big adventurer or a classic Bonneville!
    Sad indeed!
    Even seeing that pink (!) of the original T-509 Speed Tripple is much more preferable than this current back/grey/white overflow!

    • @9mmArts

      dapoun daytona 1050 would be fun

    • @princefancybum4605
      @princefancybum4605 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      dapoun never, because it wouldn't be eligible for super sports racing so would have to go in superstock or superbike classes where it'd get completely recked. There's more chance of seeing a 1050 / 1150 Daytona

    i really wanna like the street triple but i just dont like the look of it and its obviously gonna be over priced or they would just tell people what its gonna cost from the start. i think im gonna get a 2017 mt09 when the frost fucks off

  • @bazz8938
    @bazz8938 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    why is it so dark??? how about putting some lights on and walking the camera round the bike real slowly so we can get a real good look at the fckr!

    As much as I have a thing for the street and sorry trips I cannot get over how lame the new headlights are. I know your not looking at them when your riding bit the OG twin round jobbies and the Dame
    Edna edition looked so much better.

  • @deanharris9331
    @deanharris9331 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    This could be a very good bike especially with the increase of power to bring it in line with the rest of the competition. But and this is a big "BUT"....Please, please, Triumph why haven't you changed that headlight configuration! As it's so bloody ugly. I know that this is a sort of marmite statement, you either like it or hate it and from what I hear, most people hate it and I would of thought Triumph would of listened to a lot of the views of the two wheeled fraternity. Can you imagine what this bike would be like with a mean looking front end! Nowadays a lot of bikes are sold on looks as well and personally i think that they would sell many more unit's if it was changed. I'd buy it for sure! But right now I'm on the fence.

    • @deanharris9331
      @deanharris9331 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pavlin Petkov . It amazes me how many people have disliked those headlights over the year's but Triumph doesn't seem to have taken it on board.

    • @detroitsfastfem3065
      @detroitsfastfem3065 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree, but they cover the road better at night so functionally they are better, if you are that type of rider.

    • @10secondsrule
      @10secondsrule 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Personally I like them. Much better than the previous model. But yeah I guess it's like a marmite...

    • @EverythingisFire
      @EverythingisFire 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm one of the few that really liked the previous & current gen bug eyes. The earlier model shown in the vid looks o.k. The newer ones have a unique, aggressive & modern look that I like. If the new 765's take off, perhaps they can come out with an "XSR900" equivalent that has retro styling.

    Is this competing with fz07 or 09? Seems like triumph is finally trying to answer to Yamaha competition.

    • @MianCowell
      @MianCowell 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      considering the minimum time for a bike to be developed start to finish is 3 years, I don't think saying "finally" is justified here. they would've been working on this before the fz07 came out.

    • @808Affliction
      @808Affliction 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      1compaqedr8 fz09 still beats it with their new 2017 model even the 2014-2016 they have 847cc

      No, it's just that we used some Triumph footage. These events are not very easy to film with loads of people jumping all over the bikes. Also, we can only go by what they're telling us, in the feature we do say we'll get under the skin of the bikes on the launch.
