    I have a street and I love it, but "Tearing up the rulebook"......what a load of bollocks. Calm down boys and sell it for what it is, instead of pumping us full of these stupid meaningless slogans. You just sound American - everything the brand shouldn't be.

      I agree. It's a beautiful bike but $13k it's a bit too much for a 765cc.

    This launch obviously took place on an empty room yet they felt the need to simulate an excited audience with some canned clapping. Painfully awkward. The cherry on top is at the end when they ride those bikes in front of an excited audience... minus the excited audience. Fire your marketing guy, Triumph, seriously.

    • @debroyprasenjit
      @debroyprasenjit 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apropos Pedro, Team Triumph seem to have gone overboard with the Marketing shenanigans a tad or too!
      All things said, i had been waiting eagerly for the new Street Triple 800. The engine is worth every penny :)
      I believe the R version to be the best of the 3! Pricing will be key!
      Hopefully @TriumphIndia will launch the 2017 Street Triple soon!

      Torque house
      I agree with you....lol

    • @dmandhelen
      @dmandhelen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Torque house I think you'll find that the power delivery is still very different... the MT09 still has loads more torque and that's what's so special about it !!!! Nothing can touch it in its class ...

    • @chrisburn9846
      @chrisburn9846 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      MT-0who?

    • @mathias6423
      @mathias6423 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      dmandhelen Only like 10 nm more torque, and the mt09 is also 10 kg heavier. They also made first and second gear shorter for street triple R so the real diffrence I see is that MT09 makes the power several 1000 rpms lower than the Striple R

    Wow 123 hp naked bike in a 750 cc range. I like the RS. Street/Speed triple have the unique looks. Triumph making good looking bikes. I still want the thruxton R and now maybe this.

  • @mikeak82
    @mikeak82 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Looks great, not too different but slightly more aggressive. Can't wait to see what the test rides and reviews have to say.

  • @mikehartdesign

  • @MrMikey1703
    @MrMikey1703 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Not quite the revolution I was expecting. More of an evolution. And I agree, it seemed like a very non live, live event with canned clapping.

    • @TheMissendenFlyer
      @TheMissendenFlyer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree - no doubt slightly better in every way, and of course we wait to see what the early independent test riders say, but to me it looks all incremental improvements, not the step change I had been hoping for.....jury is out for me until I see what the ride is like compared to my old 2012 R.....

    • @andrewspooner8146
      @andrewspooner8146 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know. To make it as light and as powerful as they have claimed may not be revoultionary but it is something special if it is true. I have looked at the website and the "S" version will cost £8,000. Visordown have also just reported that the RS will be relaeased in March, the R in April and the S in May. Personally the R version appeals to me. It has the makings of an excellent bike. Lets wait and see.

    • @tigerjim6077
      @tigerjim6077 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Couldn't agree with you more Mr TMF. Will be interesting to see how it rides, but just on this alone I won't be swapping my 675. Even then it will have to be going some to beat the old one. Would've loved to have seen an RT version, with cruise control, mountings for panniers, screen so it really could do everything you wanted it to do if needs be.

    • @mathias6423
      @mathias6423 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I heard the price for the RS will be above 13 000 euro. Then its only 2000 euro left for an Aprilia Tuono RR ?!?
      I rather buy Street Triple R for 10 000 euro and add a quickshifter.

    • @tigerjim6077
      @tigerjim6077 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You'd want a bloody quick quickshifter for that price!

  • @Atlas_FPV
    @Atlas_FPV 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why do we need 3 models... The more I think about this the worse it gets, the basic model gets none of the new goodies and yet its £8k, so to get the new bits you are forced to buy the R and I don't understand where the RS even fits in the line up? Surely you only need 2 versions at most, road and track. Why do we need or want road, track and track versions? And then to lock the extra power and goodies behind a price that will surely be close to £10k... I'm disappointed. The MT-09 is even more of bargain now.

    I totally was waiting for Miles Perkins to lose it and start shouting "Are you listening Bronze? I'm the Nightrider! I'm a fuel injected suicide machine!"Oh, and the new Street Triple looks very nice. The ST RS is probably faster than the Speed Triple around a track. My last Triumph was a 2008 Daytona 675 SE. Sadly, there are NO Triumph dealers in Arkansas in 2017.

  • @busterrabbit
    @busterrabbit 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks to be better all round than the current 675 but it's getting really expensive and I'm not convinced having 3 different power outputs within 7% of each other is necessary. More torque, which is what you need on the road, but max torque (less than an 821 Monster or even a BMW F800R) is at 10,800 RPM so I guess it'll appeal to rev happy weekend warriors, the engine is after all going to replace the Honda 600-4 in Moto 2 in 2019.

    man I'm waiting for the new daytona

    • @jbdoggy
      @jbdoggy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im so hoping for that too. On the practical & technical side its very possible since the old striple shared the same platform as the daytona. Now with the new striple a new daytona can be designed on that new platform. But if Triumph does not see the financial viability of it, then there wont be any of course. We just have to wait and see. But it would be nice to have a 765 daytona around to compete with the Agusta 800 or Panigale 959.

    I want a Street so bad but like a huge part of the bike riding population(short people) I had to settle for a piece of junk from another company just to get on a bike. I would gladly pay more for a shorter seat height with the power of a real motorcycle. So sad I can't ride with my friends. I cant believe how many videos and stories are out there of short people modifying a motorcycle to fit and yet the manufactures have not taken advantage. I DO NOT WANT A CRUISER! yet that is what i had to settle for.

  • @anthonym10
    @anthonym10 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Class leading power to weight ratio? WTF are you guys smoking over there in England? Even the RS at 123ps is no where near the power rating of other manufactures nakeds. On top of that 3 different versions of the same mediocre bike really doesn't make sense. One would've been just fine.

    When did bike presentations become the same as ipods/teslas? Only talk about motorcycles should be at the pub (that you rode to). Pictures of new motorcycles, in magazines between the naked people section and the classifieds.

  • @secretspyfrog
    @secretspyfrog 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've had new triumphs all my life.... I went to buy a new one a few weeks ago only to find they have become so expensive that the bike wasn't worth the money, others at the store felt the same. At least 2 of us came away with new Honda's I'm very pleased with mine and it cost half the price. I also agree with other comments on this page. Triumph are becoming out of touch with real motorcyclists. Its not about being a nutcase on the road, its about safe and efficient transport.

    quite a bad presentation of a great bike in my opinion. It did not make a good impression (the presentation, not the bike). The world is able to see the bike for the first time...... as it is pushed in between some chairs, and then just parked there, between the chairs? That thing belongs in the spotlight, on stage! Further, I'm not an expert on donuts, but I would think there are riders out there who can do donuts on the spot without having a foot planted on the floor. Looked not impressive. I feel the whole presentation was not up to the standards of the bike and Triumph as a brand.

      Jorge Delgado well, maybe, maybe not. The street triple is an excellent all rounder, but it's missing cruise control to finish it off. Not adding cruise control has taken it off my list and Yamaha have done a fine job of creating an accessory range that turns a monster of a naked into a comfortable tourer. In that respect, the MT10 is a better bike
