I love how the show has actors who have normal bodies and skin 🥰

August is so mean that we despise him... then the sympathetic backstory... then we despise him... sneaky... manipulative... props to Malte Gårdinger who plays the character.
"Let's not make this a Mia-Victor situation" that was brilliant. And no, fortunately one reason this show is so awesome is because it's not following the usual gay storyline patterns with all the big annoying drama of accepting being gay/coming out/pretend to be straight with a fake relationship and so on.
i don't think it's a usual gay storyline thats overused bc if you think about it, that's what most people be doing in real life. it's being realistic. it's nice to see a show where they just accept their gay but i do not like when people shit on shows for the drama of the coming out and pretending to be straight. sadly, thats how the real world is. teenanger pretend to be stright or struggling with aceepting their sexuality. thats the real world, if shows didn't show that, then they wouldn't be showing the actual struggle
@@narayastarks I think it's just nice to have eventually a show that is able to step away of the usual. I know in real life it's not always easy for a lot of people, on the other hand all this talking about coming out should not even matter, feel free to be yourself and all that stuff, then I guess we need shows like this to keep it simple and have the characters brave enough to be true to themselves (and not after half a season and useless overplayed drama filler episodes). Just my opinion.

You guys have no idea the way I held my breath when they first kiss. It was genuine and sincere like the actors were so fucking phenomenal!! You rarely see that on screen anymore that level of sincerity. Netflix better renew this show ASAP 🤞🏾

Idk if you notice, but felices roommate actually speaks English in the show because her character is from new York.
i love how she understands Swedish but speaks in english
The actress is doing a fantastic job but on a couple words I hear an accent.

For the Canadian version it's all voiced over with all the actors speaking English but yeah I noticed her scenes are in English. But all their accents are cute

Fun fact: Malte Gårdinger (August) originally auditioned to be Simon🙈 tbh I can’t picture him as Simon but I love how they perfectly casted them, and I love the show. :)

I need all the content I can get after binging this show ,the acting ,and chemistry between Wilhelm, and simon is amazing such a beautiful show ! Also cool to see a fellow aussie watching it as well.
just a heads up, this was the eng CC subs which captions what the english dub says. I’m swedish and I would prefer the ”normal” subtitles since they more accurately translate what they’re actually saying! like… I feel like the dub prioritizes how the words will fit with their lip movements, so u kinda miss funny comments etc. (like in the first episode when wille pushed simon’s head down and said ”get down, ur GLOWING” while in the dub he just said ”get down” or ”be quiet” or sumn…😭)

Not it said you’re glowing in the captions lmao. Also the actors did their own English dub so I’m pretty sure it’s as accurate to the Swedish version as it’s gonna get.
Or maybe I watched with the “normal” subtitles and didn’t realize because my captions said “you’re glowing”
@@jessjasmin06 yeah I went back and checked and the translation (the best one😌) says ”down! you’re glowing!” while the dub+CC JUST says ”down!” and not anything else 💀

I’m just gonna say that Netflix foreign language originals are better than their English shows first with elite and money heist their spanish shows now young royals being Swedish
I would argue that Money Heist was actually ruined by Netflix. The first two seasons were created by a Spanish network and they are far superior to seasons 3-4, after it was bought by Netflix.... but if you like Netflix’s foreign content. Check out Dark. It’s their first German series and it’s PHENOMENAL!

August is an ass, like he is the representation of toxic masculinity but because everything that he is going throgh you kind of root that he will become a better person and a better human being, at least i hope he does, because i swear to god every time i see him i'm like 'he is trash' and then u show me his backstory and i kind of want to feel sorry for him, but if he didn't put any effort in being kind to people it is impossible for me to root for a redemption
Just an FYI…u can also select English dubbing for their voices. It would be helpful for us since u turn the video off at times but let the voices continue to play which is in Swedish …can’t understand what their saying.
You’ve seen it, no? So you know what they’re saying. He is one of the few reacting to this in the original language. If he likes that, he should continue to. It is SO much better and real.
