A documentary that looks at Operation Linda Nchi and how Kenyan forces drove Al Shabaab from key towns of Somalia and heavy price some soldiers and Kenyans have had to pay as KDF continue to pursue the terror group.
Big ups for documenting this, it's gonna go along way in the future. No one should write our history like before.

My closest friend, died in the El Adde attack on January 15 2016. The deadliest attack on KDF & Amisom. They had managed to escape but the tank stepped on an IED. He hit the roof from the impact & suffered head trauma leading to death. I appeal to Kenyans to continue sharing intelligence, especially those operating within our borders. When you see something, say something. Don't be bought off by small pennies & betray your country. Hundreds of soldiers have died, let's honor them by being patriotic to our Nation. 😔

Years later, I am back to see this documentary again. Having been born and brought up with Military Love, I have tried getting into the Military but I didnt manage for some reasons, I would have make a Worthy Commander, Cadet Recruitment I am coming back in the Next life... However I Still love my Country with all my heart, this is home this is my blood and sweets... wherever I am at what capacity I will serve my Country. And who Know Maybe I will still Join as a Specialist. RIP to how fallen Soldiers, to our Jonourlist, Man that was very courageous of you. True to Kenya... Sing that Anthem for me.

Kenya is wealthy enough to acquire 4th generation jet fighters like F-16 and F-15s. Already Ethiopia our neighbours have them.
Apache attack helicopters is also not too much to ask for. Kenya is capable. Also welfare of our military can motivate our men and women.

This is very awesome. I actually built a robot last year to help our soldiers with surveillance and intelligence gathering in somalia but i was stopped 3/4 way from showing it to the ministry of defence

Fantastic production! It appears Kenya is very committed to eliminating this threat as they should for sake of all those soldiers and especially Kenyan students and other civilians. The forward thinking of writing their own history in the comments and such conclude a commitment of action to be the driving force to “make history” and I personally find the story inspiring because it can result in very positive things that can allow Kenya to show itself off to world. Perhaps this national identity linked to a forward thinking developed kenya is enough to defer factionalism so that infrastructure can develop to let even rural areas have things like mobile internet access without it being used for terrorism. It’s a very complicated situation from a western standpoint due to my lack of general civilian perception. Whether developing a nationalistic progressive modern technology driven identity to curb fanatical paramilitary activity is the answer to winning the “hearts and minds” of civilians in Al shabaab controlled areas is certainly debatable, I feel after watching this production that Kenya has the patriotic spirit to enact this theory much more effectively than Somalia however allowing Kenya to show itself as hero is much more effective in public opinion in region than a western nation could and should be considered in future operations in region.

Kenyan Airforce uses helicopters used for watching over livestock in large farms, that is suicide for the pilot, I am sorry to say. But I must congratulate them for winning against the enemy with so little weaponry but very BRAVE soldiers. 💪
Great history of not ever accomplished little deeds. 10yrs it's enough to clear Al shabaab but all what Kenyan military did were to influenced by Somalia's political crises.
Another way round was to claim Somalia's territory. If Kenya fallow by it's greediness. Eventually gets what Kenya deserves it. Don't only sell to the world a bad picture of Somalia.

Kenyans should have learned from what happened to ethiopians when they invaded somalia in 2007. They got their ass kicked and run out of Mogadishu. And they knew how to fight while kenyans have no experience in war. And if you say that kenyans are now occupying somalia, remember that 30 kilometers outside kismayo, the shabaab are in control. Doesn't look like success to me.
