- This highly dangerous Special Forces mission, planned to take down a drug crazed war lord who captured 11 peace keeping soldiers, is one of the special forces most dangerous missions. The mission is called Operation Sudden Death. The special forces are hugely out numbered and have limited time to free the 11 captured.

There were seven hostages not six. This documentry arrogantly forgot to mention the Captain from the Sierra Leone Army who was also captured. He was kept in a cess pit outside. The SAS stripped apart the village to find him! He was in very sick health, but they got him out! He recovered and went back to serving in the Army. Annoyed he was left out, he was horribly treated. Luckily the SAS made sure they found him too.
The title claims there were 11 “US Soldiers”. How accurate do you expect it to be?
The West Side Boy featured undoubtedly embellished his response. You know he ran at first shot.
The tittle itself is confusing enough: 11 "US" Soldiers!!. Also, intentional omissions of a black skin is common in every documentary involving Africa, even in animal documentaries 😅😅.
He apparently warned the British Soldiers Not to enter their area of operations and they ignored him...
@@mikejmardis They were British Soldiers not US....@Real Crime - DO BETTER THIS IS STUPID!!!!
@@gerardonochie3408 I hope this wasn’t directed at me because I clearly called this out as misinformation
The way this guy narrate any documentary I love it, he makes me understand well
just so you know, he sugar coat it and many of what he speaks of are false
Chaplain Carlos R. An US Army Veteran says God Bless Them For Giving All They Have, They Deserve Highest Honor Recognition. Amen
TOTAL admiration for the men laying in the forest for a week...little food, little rest, little water....first rate men.
ONE OF THE BEST TRAINED WARRIORS IN EXISTENCE. ALL WEATHER AND ALL TERRAIN SOLDIERS..SAS!!!
Not one of but rather the best SF Every other special forces is model after them . Most other countries won't admit it bit other true oh yes it's true.
Won't say too much however I know British special forces train other countries to defend themselves against terrorism i say best of the best
@@roncruz6089 Its hard to say who is the best. Of course the SAS started it all and all others modeled after them. Delta and the Seals, modern day, have a lot more combat experience and are actually better equipped so it's hard to say who is better and it doesn't really matter. Both are excellent
@@roncruz6089 The Israeli special forces are probably the best nowadays. They have constant action.
Not to forget the Paras who were also there.
Caption - Operation Sudden Death - 11 US soldiers captured = Reality - Operation Certain Death - 11 Irish Soldiers captured also feat a young Big Phill in Operation Barras
British soldiers from the Royal Irish Regiment mate.
Definitely no US though@@Seany-boy
@@Seany-boyStill Irish mate
Stupid negotiators chicken to give a full go ahead early
Usa at first sign would had sent a carrier strike group !!
Not US soldiers. But still a good video. That first Brit major was a total incompetent to drive into an enemy compound with 11 men in a jeep. What the hell!
I know if I was on that patrol I'd be asking "Sir WTF are we doing leaving the main road in this open topped AK bullet magnet ?"😂
@@scottyfox6376 His colonel should have known he was going there and stopped it. A total fool's mission. You don't "scout" with 11 men in a jeep on an open road.
In the military there are layers of information and clearance level to intelligence..
That Commander must have instructed to go in there to get information on orders but do you know the funny thing those that issue those orders know that end will be a rescue operation the final elimination of the Leader of the west side boys...
Military is not for the weak.
'Whe some lads from Sierra Leone met some lads from Hereford (and Poole) for the first and last time!'😂
mad cred &respect to the SAS!! GREAT JOB, WE APPRECIATE UR SERVICE! 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
How many things can you get wrong in a title and description? The rescue was of Irish rangers, the operation was called operation Barras and the SAS troopers nick named it operation CERTAIN Death
yes thank you
Thank you for keeping the record straight. They always wanted to take the glory of a successful rescue
Real Crime, Why don't you fix the caption 11 US soldiers where this great video is all about British Soldiers...
No mention of the mercenaries and the MI 24 that led the way ?!?
Pretty sure it was 11 soldiers of the Royal Irish Regiment of the British Army and one Sierra Leone officer, and the rescue was done by the SAS and Paras. How on earth does someone get a video title so wrong? 6 were released via negotiation and then the SAS and Paras initiated the operation to recover the remaining 5 and their Sierra Leone liaison officer. 22 Sierra Leon civilians that were being used as slaves and being trained to fight for the west side boys were also freed and one was killed in the crossfire.
Thank God, we have at least David Lammy protected by black magic. Unfortunately, not Star Mer Un.
Operation Barras a great operation, perfectly executed by the SAS. Always like watching videos with Phil Campion
TH-cam drives me up the wall with sloppy editing! There were no US soldiers involved at all, they were Royal Irish Regiment with 1 Sierra Leone soldier.
8:33 “Almost certainly” in his accent sounded even more nonchalant and chilling than I think an American accent would sound. Woah. Ethics are so complex.
They WERE NOT US SOLDIERS
11 British soldiers. Royal Irish regiment. If it were US soldiers half of socom would have turned up and made Magbeni look like the surface of the moon.
i dont think so bud. we'd rescue them without leaving a footprint. itd still be classified. we also gather enough intel to not do something like drive in the middle of the jungle with full gear, with 11 ppl, where they hang out
@@brettbassin9875 you mean like all those sailors captured by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ? 😂 yeh right. it’d be classified for about 3 minutes then you’d have 5 books and and 14 podcasts about it 😂
@@Whywhatwherehowwhen lol yeah bro they were doing exercises and malfunctions happened to their boat. one was trying to tow them in. By the time they responded… Our coast guard would do the same lol They drifted to far…Iran fed them and let them go 🤙

I wouldn't be surprised if the next upload is titled "Chinese SAS-R soldiers who captured Canadian Delta Force hostages rescued by Australian Spetsnaz GRU I Special Forces"
It wasn’t US soldiers, it was British Soldiers tittle is misleading
The French Foreign Legion are the most badass on the planet.
Nah.
The leader of the Westside-girls was hiding under the bed :). No drugs or alcohol in the world could help him get the courage.
Year 2000 - Sierra Leone, on the West coast. Amputations of their own innocent people. The West Side Boys. Child soldiers. The World centre for Blood diamonds. Drugs taken that make them feel invincible.

Mama Bio is doing well with her husband President Bio 🫡.
Even the operation name is wrong. Not operation, sudden death, but thunderbolt.
They weren't Americans they were British Soldiers.
Two weeks later and they are still claiming these were US soldiers. You have to assume clickbait/misinformation at some point.
My Regiment was not US they were British, Royal Irish vet
The narrator is good 😮
“The SAS don’t have the gear that the Americans have”
Give me a break. Britain isn’t some 3rd world country. I guarantee you anything the “Americans” have the SAS can have-I mean Britain and the US are like military besties anyway.
Some of the things that the talking balloon heads they get to interview in these docs will say to sound like they know what they’re talking about never ceases to amaze me.
Did they really need to pay a lady to remind us all that the SAS are “quiet professionals”?
At that point nothing out of her mouth can be taken seriously.
I’m sorry…It just bothers me how they feel the need to take something that is factually intense and heroic and needlessly try to convince us that it was intense and heroic.
You had a great story to tell and yet got every detail wrong! Pretty much like every Hollywood war movie.
Irish regiment not US..
They should have more soldiers
Barras in Portuguese: An informal term for a difficult situation, or to straighten something out
Not a randomly computer selected word then.
This documentary is intentionally filled with missing information and outright falsehoods.
How on earth would a train soldier drive into enemies territory without thinking .He is surely lucky to have captured His missions were stupid and senseless .He should have been discharged from the Army dishonorably.
This makes me believe that these people think that the USA and England are one and the same. Did we leave that impression? Probably.
Those who were there will know this as Operation Barras when the SAS and 3 Para freed Royal Irish soldiers held by the WSB
Love you uk from usa
The only "Real Crime" committed here, is the absolute disaster of a title. Useless!
More clicks than saying "Irish soldiers". This is the reality of the Internet of 2024.
This edition is omitting one local guy who was in the vehicle that got caught.
Thankyou
Positive movie😮😮😮 I like it
I don't know if there was EVER a braver, riskier and above all a successful mission like operation Entebbe.
That operation makes the SAS look like child's play
@@raymeilak7702who do you think taught the Israeli special forces, which special force unit came first?
they will always act to be on the side of victory and show superiority
I love it when the British say they went to "Help" stabilize the country. Pease keeping force they call it.
More like trying to reinstate a friendly government to take over the riches of that country, ore, diamonts and so on.
The Brits NEVER do something for nothing, of the goodness of their hearts !
USA does the same.
Politicians NOT us the Public. We are not defined by the politicians. We are better.
Got that one wrong and obviously have never heard of "Blood Diamonds"a little like the slave trade run by stronger African against weak Africans. The Brits stopped the local warlords, a little like they stopped the slave trade.
Ask the folks who these warlords were mutilating and forcing to join. Im sure they were quite relieved.
😂😂😂😂
Get your facts right in your title, it was 11 BRITISH soldiers not US that were taken captive
It was 19 killed in Mogadishu.
Music to my ears...Gig Boy got 50 years and he was so full of himself.
I HATE WARS!!!!!! LEARN EARTHS HISTORY!!!!!!!
I don't think the person who uploaded this video even watched it
You really should learn your history The soldiers were the Irish guard They are British Not impressed
They actually were British soldiers. They were from the Royal Irish Regiment. Established by the British in 1992 which combined both the Irish Rangers and British Army.
