I've been reading other blogs that say to pull as you exhale and relax as you inhale. Your way actually makes more sense to me but does it matter either way?
Hi there. I truly believe it does matter. At least, I feel the difference when exercising for example, my endurance boosts when I breathe in the right sync with muscle contraction and relaxation. So, I'm new at yoga, but my guess is it matters a lot. I liked Rebecca's video for this.

Dear Madam, I am V Vaidhyanathan from New Delhi. Many thanks for posting such an informative video on Ganesha mudra. Very clearly explained by you. I had one query on the stretching part whether it needs to be done while exhaling or inhaling.. You have advised that we must pull our arms outwards while inhaling and relax while exhaling.. But there are so many videos on Ganesha Mudra on TH-cam where many yogi preach the other way round that we need to pull outwards while exhaling and relax while inhaling. I have been practicing this way. Kindly confirm which one is correct? Regards V Vaidhyanathan

Can this mudra help you get what you want? Unless it is stress release which I guess this mudra can do, almost certainly not. Take common sense actions consistently towards what you want, and you´ll be good to go.
