    So i made my own little axolotl after a week because i got frustrated and had to take a break, but she's adorable! A bit wonky since i didn't use the chunky yarn but adorable! Thank you so much for explaining this tutorial in a way that i could understand!

    I am so in love with my little axolotl plush. I got rid of the mouth and added buttons as eyes and it's adorable. I used light blue for the frilly bits instead of pink :)

      Use a stitch marker or a piece of scrap yarn to mark your first stitch. It’ll make it easier to count your stitches. Hope this helps! ☺️

    This is so cute!! I do have a problem i’m hoping to get solved, I’ve restarted this 3 times because I cannot get my increases to form a concave bowl like that, it ends up rippling and sitting flat. Is there anything you may think i’m doing wrong?

      You may be pulling the yarn a little too tight? You could try a different hook size and be a little gentler when pulling the yarn on each stitch :)

      Just keep on doing what you've been doing until you reach the part where you have to put the eyes in or before that. You can flip it inside out and it might be like in the video, that's what i did. It might not be the same with me since i used regular yarn but this may help!

      It looks like she uses some sort of chunky yarn. It will be however big depending on the yarn. Like If you use the average sized yarn then it’ll be smaller but if you use huge it’ll look bigger

    Why did you go to the trouble of crocheting the tail separately and then attaching it? Doesn't it make sense to just continue the body into the tail because that's how it looks when your done?

    Hey can someone help me out? Whenever I try to crochet a ball even if I follow every step, my ball is really small, even thought I followed the medium steps it look smaller than the small size. Does anyone know why and how I can fix it? Please help.

    So cute!!! I know this was posted 5 months ago but if any experience crochet-ers are reading this…PLEASR HELP. How do I stop my yarn from curling? I’m pretty sure I’m completely all steps correctly, and it looks the same as hers expect the ends curl!! Very frustrating lollll.       Hi! This is kind of late to your comment but basically she is using a chunky yarn. The thicker your yarn, the bigger your product will be. Hope this helps!

    Me again, mine became sooooo much smaller than yours... and im not sure what i did wrong... is there anything wrong i couldve done for it to look smaller and have a bit if a different pattern even tho i copied you exactly...?
    Edit: I used velvet yarn aswell so idk why it got so much smaller than yours :,)

      Hi! I think it’s because of your hook size,the smaller your hook the smaller the results would turn!

      Yes, if you have knowledge of basic stitches you can make anything really! And if you don’t know a certain stitch you can always look up a tutorial

    this tutorial was kinda hard to follow. After a few rows I didn't know how many stitches I needed in the end of each row. And the video went a little to fast. It might be because if the yarn I'm using, so ill try it when I get different yarn.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
    This does not show you how to add the ruffle to the tail, nor does it show you how to attach the gills. I was very disappointed to spend so much time making this only to get to the end and have the most important pieces yet no directions about how to attach them.

    This tutorial is a bit chaotic. Hard to pause while your moving soo fast. No explanation or links to techniques your listing. The axolotl is cute but the instructions are super hard to follow
