If you have rust showing on the rear arches and door sills you should get the side sill moulding off the car asap and check to see what's lurking underneath at the rear side where the jacking point is. I had similar on mine and they were a complete mess needing a lot of work and quite often if they are really bad this is where they are an MoT failure and people scrap them. Hopefully as yours is 5 years newer than mine yours will be caught in time.
That list of problems isnt too bad considering the age and mileage. The aircon could be expensive to fix but hopefully not. The rust is something that needs to be dealt with sooner before it gets too invasive.
Own the identical car in Aus with much more mileage. Dont believe anything you read about unreliability.. these model rangies are awesome and very well built . the 3.6 ford/psa engine is literally bomb proof as is the zf transmission if you keep it serviced also. If the airbags for the suspension are original you will need to change them (particularly the front).. have a good look at them for cracking on the edge of where they roll
thanks Dave! that is super reassuring to hear! Loving the ownership experience so far. A little "loose" noise from rear right wheel/suspension when going over bumps at slow speeds...it's going in for a service in a few weeks so will ask them to diagnose
Hi Bought a 2009 l322 a few weeks ago myself, only done 90K on the clock, I've put 3K on the clock. Last night it went into limp mode, spent 3 hours in 6 C weather waiting for a tow truck to get me off the highway, then 100 kms to a point where I could drive the last 35km home on back roads @ 60 km/hr, think it was 1am when I crawled into bed. Think seriously before taking yours for a holiday
New bonnet letters are not expensive and are easily replaced, pull the seat belts out to the full extent and spray the belts with silicone spray, problem solved.
hi those rear arches !!! i did get same problem 😂 what i did is hard graft and wire wheel ( on the angle grinder , any mechanical rust removal tool will do ) then (must have ) 1 st rust covertor , any sort ( i use spray application, brand BRUNOX) 2 th high build primet or zinc primer 3th hammeritte smooth black paint and they looking like new AND cherry on cake LR disvovery 4 rear arche protectors u need 4 of them . enjoy 😊 pss. I just became l322 3.6tdv8 owner my selft and i lovit How to add pic i here ? i show you how my big brown shed look like any questions just ask 😎 Lr community the best 🍾🔧
thanks for sharing, that's very helpful! the Disco 4 arch protectors is a great tip, didn't know they would fit the L322! congrats on the TDV8 - feel free to send me a picture on Instagram! just search georgewarringtonuk
Oh wow Shmee on your Channel! Please someone tell him to source a 2012 Ultimate Edition and feature it. I would love to locate one of them. The Unicorn. Long live the L322.

I'm an Englishman who has been driving Land Rovers products for over twenty years and can honestly say there is no place more comfortable to be.... ....whilst waiting for a tow truck!
Even a 13 year old Lexus LS will need expensive maintenance, but rust is unforgiveable on a modern car.

thanks for this - I actually have an update video about the corrosion coming soon!

definitely agree! I've spoken to a body shop this week who are going to have a proper look at it
Love my 59plate L322 3.6tdv8 Westminster... rust on rer wheel arches is standard.
Your letters have been replaced, you can buy a new set.
Start Button - shear frustration perhaps?? "WHY WONT YOU START NOW??? grrrrrrr"

sorry to hear that!! hope you will still enjoy it going forward...
Looks good for a older car 🚙 the tailgate and around the wheels cars here in Toronto Canada I looked rust in the same places here too
yep, seems to be a common problem on this model!
there's another youtuber with odd steps and the ROVER is faded plus she fixed the start button like yours

Thank you for this video , enjoyed it. Any idea why the rear door locks seem to get stuck ,does not respond to the remote.

What iswrong is just how you bought it

Yeah Tim was very kind to do that intro for me! Thanks for watching!
You can buy arch blanks and a decent body shop should weld / paint them in etc for less than £500
Thanks Pete! I've actually enquired at my local bodyshop, he wants £350 per wheel arch...slightly pricey based on what you're saying!
@@MoreGeorge it is considering yours haven't been that far gone. Unless you can get him to do the boot also lol
That’s all general maintenance on any car of that age
Don't mind both you and Lucy making video content on the RR but try to mix it up so you are not posting the same stuff . Nice car though
Thanks! We are going to try and do this as best we can

You and your Mrs are running the same content, on the same car, on 2 different channels...
There are a few LR and Range Rover Groups on Facebook.
just joined a few, thanks Nic!
Sister channel to one I watched yesterday ? Is this the 168k one !
Yep, where the girlfriend/partner talked about same L322.
Yes! My partner Lucy is also making videos about our car on her channel 😊 check it out 'Lucy On Cars'
Yea
Same car Lucy owns ?
Yes! Glad you found her channel too 😊
Hm is the RR?
a used L322 are ranging from £4k - £15k depending on age and mileage!
@@MoreGeorge enjoy the car and more vids 👌🏻
@@chicoringler thanks, lots more videos on the way with this one!
This bloody well confused me, I'm thinking this is just like that girls car, and it is. Just popped into my recommendations.

The same car and the same content in two channels? Well, that doesnt work.
Why not? Watch one, or the other, or both, or neither 😆 we both enjoy making videos about our family car!
Totally agree. Playing the TH-cam game.
sell it and buy a landcruiser,,,but then you would have no content for your videos lol. good luck..
