    Im having an issue where the floor of the pool im making looks correctly and has the tiles properly set but the walls look like long lines of every color instead of individual squares. Is there any way to fix that?
    Liked the tutorial btw.

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, to fix that, you could UV unwrap your object, and then use the UV's instead of Object, on the texture coordinate.

  • @ecenaxm3095
    @ecenaxm3095 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Great tutorial ! Easy and straight to the point, thanks :)
    I have a few questions :
    4:00 Why do you use a color ramp instead of the « invert » option from the bump node ? Would the « mortar size» option in the brick texture not be enough to control the transition between tiles and lines ?
    7:05 Is it necessary to use an invert node ? Could it be an option to plug the first « mix rgb » into the « color 2 » of the second « mix rgb », instead of inverting the factor ?
    Also, your tutorials were really helpful to understand how the shader tab worked, so thank you very much !
    Will you do tutorials on the geometry nodes too ? I think you could make them much easier to understand ;)

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hmm, yeah, I guess I could have used the mortar size option instead. Although I wanted to control how much the tiles bumped out.
      Well, the first mix RGB isn't just black and white data. It has color, and it doesnt have much contrast. So it wouldn't work well for a mask. And I don't want to see any of the noise texture on the mortar.
