i remember so well when i was 4 i would watch your videos for comfort. now remembering back in this channel, i made so many memories here. now i am almost in high school, and your recipes grew on me…
Sarah's so awesome and so casual with going through the steps without losing her "pro" air. You're an awesome cook Sarah--entertaining and very informative!
Haha! So nice to know I'm not the only one who fudges the first one ;-) I fell in love with crepes after my trip to Paris. I always do bananas and nutella but the PB&J crepe sounds delish too! Thanks so much
I rolled mine up with Nutella strawberry and whipped cream. Then I put whipped cream on top when I was done rolling it up added a strawberry and put powdered sugar. My second one I put Nutella vanilla icecream, cheesecake, (I know weird, but my cousin told me to put it in, but I ended tasting super good!) and strawberry, then the usual roll up with strawberry, and whipped cream! Sarah, thanks to you I have gained weight!
The French have a saying about crêpes , "Le premier est pour le chien." ~ The first one is for the dog. All crêpe recipe videos I have seen claim the first one will always come out bad.
I followed this recipe and used my new crepe machine. They came out crepe-tastic. I liked the use of the blender as it was less clean up for me. Thanks!
Yep you can! I actually tried it both ways. Just be careful when using the olive oil because it is very strong and you can taste it in your dish because the crepes are so thin. So just ad a tiny bit of olive oil, but it's preferable to use unsalted butter :)
Funny! I think actually, pie crust can feel the heat in your hands ... which probably get hotter when you're nervous. Hot hands are great for making bread, not so much for making pie crust where the fat needs to stay cold in pea-sized bits (rather than melting, which then makes it tough...). ~Diana from Toronto (and also a Sagittarius!)
Looks amazing. I'm going to try the breakfast creepe. Can I substitute the melted butter with any other ingredient? What is the butter in the recipe used for exactly.
The type of crêpes shown in this video is actually meant to be used like a dessert. The peanut butter and jelly example is good, but not for the ham and cheese. The "crêpe" used for the savory side is called a galette. That recipe replaces traditional flour with buckwheat flour instead. It has a grainier texture and taste to it, but it is used for the savory side.
I always found this woman to be a little clunky and incompetent for a chef and it felt like she became a cook by accident. This video made it crystal clear lol she doesnt know what she is doing
They're just fine, people! Especially for those who don't know how - it's okay to make mistakes and learn from it. Those who are criticizing obviously already know how so why come here? Or are you just showing off?
I'm obsessed with your videos. You bring peace and harmony to my home just by listening! Good vibes girl! And my family is learning so much from you!!! :>) Thank you!!! :>)
Hello Sarah, thanks for trying to make crêpes, but there're couple of things that went wrong with your recipe and terminologies. As I live in France, I feel qualified to point them out: 1) The crêpe is a dessert, and is made with use of milk, eggs, sugar and salt in the batter, whereas the galette is a savory dish that's made with water, eggs and salt in the batter. You're using milk, egges, salt and sugar to make the batter (as if you were to prepare crêpes), but then you eat it with ham and cheese, thereby confusing the accompanying items going with crêpe/galette. 2) To make crêpes, you use all purpose flour (which you're doing), but to make galettes, you use buckwheat flour, a darker colored flour, called "farine de sarrasin" in France. So the French call these galettes "galettes de sarrasin". Of course, if you want to experiment things, you're welcome to, except they won't be traditionally "crêpes" anymore :) Good luck!
i really love it when she shows her flaws. the last pancake i made tasted eggy 😅 & traumatised me. so I'm not gonna let my fear stops me from making pancake after this.
The thin sweet pancakes are called 'crêpes'. Nice with Nutella and brandy. The savoury pancakes are called 'galletes' and often have ham and cheese inside. Do not confuse us by calling everything 'crêpes'! 😂 BTW, we don't like your doorstopper pancakes! They are like eating concrete.
that is absolutly not the good recipe and way to cook it! i'm from France and from Bretagne, where crêpes are made from^^ I don't know where you have found the way you're doing it but it's definitly wrong^^ You should make more researches..
The American was of saying it is cr-AY-pes but the actually pronunciation or the French pronunciation is cr-EP-es because it uses "ê" which makes a different sound than the "e"

I'm recommending to add about 2-3 spoon of sparkling water - it's be better :D
Yep you can! I actually tried it both ways. Just be careful when using the olive oil because it is very strong and you can taste it in your dish because the crepes are so thin. So just ad a tiny bit of olive oil, but it's preferable to use unsalted butter :)

Beautiful -- I almost fainted when you said "bananas and nutella."
You are so right that pie crust can smell your fear.

have a question, can I add olive oil instead of butter?
I always found this woman to be a little clunky and incompetent for a chef and it felt like she became a cook by accident. This video made it crystal clear lol she doesnt know what she is doing
Yay, I always mess up the first one too :-) I'm not alone !
U made it so Easy n Fun, I like it! :D
👍👍😍love it
Loved it
your kitchen sooo neat
How long should the batter rest ?
how long do you let it rest???
+Cristina Capitanio usually I don't let it rest.. and the crepes come out just fine ;)
usually people let it rest for like an hour..
U are so versatile Sarah 💜 love u 💜
lol, practice a little more, but it was fun to watch 😄😉
Am i the only one who got a mini heart attack when the salt was sprinkled over the egg? At that amount, it can kill.
They're just fine, people! Especially for those who don't know how - it's okay to make mistakes and learn from it. Those who are criticizing obviously already know how so why come here? Or are you just showing off?
Yummy thanks I'm subscribing right now
I tried it , but I replaced the flour with oats , it tastes delicious :D thanks
I'm obsessed with your videos. You bring peace and harmony to my home just by listening! Good vibes girl! And my family is learning so much from you!!! :>) Thank you!!! :>)
Mmm. ^.^ I like these with a cream cheese and blueberry filling
Hey how many crepes does the mixture make
You really dont need to add butter to your pan if its non-stick.
I dont and they come out great every time.
Flavor man 🇫🇷
Thank you!
How long is the resting period for the batter, she didn't mention that????
Usually for crepes it's an hour.
Love it!!!

And thank you for the great idea*
You sound like your saying "little craps".
Crêpes (Cr•EP•es)
+Cole Houshel ya - it might be her accent tho
So sweet! thanks! xs
Okay i love this lady she is funny
The French say that the first Crepe is always for the dog.
"if you let it get to you, you're dead!"
RIP to those who have tried and failed.
Was that a Freudian slip or just self-denial? She made ham & egg but went to the oven to see if the ham & cheese crepes were done 😂
I miss this happy sarah. She seems so sad in her newer vids
Would've been easier to flip with a regular spatula, don't cha think? 😁
Not really ... they're pretty flimsy. Her way is the way the French chefs do it (and that's likely who trained her).
Buy a crêpière pan, it will be so much easier!
beautiful Beautiful BEAUTILFUL!! (the lady, that is)
She doesn't know how to make crepes tbh lol
This video disappointed me😂
Im the worst cook in the world and the first crêpes I made today came out better than hers
iNezumi she also doesn’t know how to to pronounce them properly.
and you guys got no life tbh
TRUE
S.Carey
I mean butter
Bruh your pan was too hot 🤙
How long resting period

She used the French pronunciation.
+doinithealthystyle well we're not in France. and im use to the way I've always heard it.
she's saying craps
So many people saying she pronounce it wrongly. So do French pronounce it as Crayps, Creeps, or Craps? A little help here?
