I’m so glad I watched this and I will be trying it on our new grill. I just started grilling and have been having problems with flare ups and smokey and sooty food! Marinating after grilling looks like the solution. It looks like it would work great for veggies, too.
OMG what a cute dog !!! I can never tell when meat is done, that's why I use a meat thermometer and when it reaches the done scale or just before, I take it off the heat and let it finish cooking on its own and reabsord its own juices.
When slicing or opening a pocket in chicken breast is called butterflying . Simple technique used in chicken , pork or fish. Also when outside grilling handling raw meat you should have a bowl of soapy water and paper towels. Wash hands often. Always remember to wash your herbs throughly
@@kfl611 yes, your basil, lemon grass, parsley, rosemary etc, would you prefer to eat your herbs that insects, birds or other critters that have crawled on or defecated on? Not to mention some gardeners use pesticides in their gardens. Do you want to eat that ? I wouldn’t
@@robinhartman6275 Call me stupid, I've never washed an herb in my life. Maybe because i either use store bought herbs which I assume are clean, or use dried jarred herbs. I always just thought if it was grown in your own garden, you know if you use perticides or not and the sun light would help naturally keep things clean.
@@kfl611 I would never call someone stupid. Yes, fresh herbs should be washed. Sunlight only helps them grow. Has nothing to do with cleanliness. I’ve been an organic gardener for many years. I still wash my produce and herbs . Even when you purchase from your grocery store it needs to be washed and dried. Apples, pears are waxed to make them look prettier more desirable. You don’t want to eat that. It’s bad for your health. I either use soap and water or a fruit and vegetable cleaner. I get it at Walmart. You don’t need to do this if you have dried jarred herbs.
@@robinhartman6275 I thought the uv rays disinfected garden products. I guess it is better to be safe than sorry and best to rinse off pesticides and dirt and what ever else may be on your produce.
Personally I’d have made the marinade in a 2 gal ziploc bag then added cooked chicken which would ensure max coverage of nummy marinade on the chicken - just flip the bag over every once in a while til it’s time to eat - easy peasy waves from Fairbanks Alaska 👋👋👋👋❄️❄️❄️❄️

I like the idea of grilling the chicken first then adding it to the marinade. Must have a nice fresh taste.
