Yes and it is a masterpiece, the level of detail is outstanding. Some of the situations made me feel anxious and it is fascinating to know what events happened in order to cause this catastrophe.
Many people lost their lives to this and to avoid a major damage and that is what is the most important.
Congratulations to the team for making this amazing series. Looking forward to what other stories they can tell.

@@vaahtobileet Thats not true. 'greatest television show' is a status give by people. You act as if it's objective, but it's subjective. The title only applies when enough people agree on it. Amusingly enough this exact concept - of truth not being absolute - is one that is touched on in the show.

I have been mesmerized by the Chernobyl incident for most of my life. I was 8 when it happened and I vaguely remember something about an accident. Being an American, the Challenger disaster was still fresh on out minds at that time. It wasn't until a few years later (upon learning about the Browns Ferry incident) that I really became interested in nuclear energy and what incidents had occurred. I have researched almost everything I could about Chernobyl. I know most of the technical details about it from reading everything I could find published about it. Some details and testimony conflict what we generally accept as fact (and what is presented in this series.) We will really never truly know exactly what happened in that control room on that fateful April morning. Details vary from each person present. This series has added an element that I recognized but never really acknowledged..the true human factor and sacrifice. I really didn't learn any technical facts from the series, but I did learn about the Soviet people and the human sacrifice given partly in vain to serve what was believed to be, and sometimes was, the greater good.

I hope HBO does a miniseries about the Challenger Disaster (starring Skarsgard and Harris, of course).
