To non-Koreans reading : Korean street food “Toast” adds sweetness as one of the main flavours which a lot of people do not expect when seeing butter, bread, ham, and egg. It gets a bit of getting used to, so if you haven’t had it before, I suggest holding back on the condensed milk until you’re mentally ready :)

this was amazing, we didn't have orange cheese so we used white. It went great with the creaminess of the sauces. We didn't use all of the sauce that this recipe called for on top of the eggs even for three sandwiches; so really you can do 1tbl of mayo and 1tbl of condensed milk for the eggs.
I just made something inspired by this today! I had to substitute a good deal of ingredients so I can't say I made *this*. I used brioche for the bread, sambal instead of sriracha, fried sliced greenridge farm beef sticks instead of ham, and sharp cheddar instead of processed cheese. My bread was small so I used half of the amount of ingredients as well. It was still super delicious!
Today, I tried this recipe and it really was good. The mayo, condensed milk and the sriracha sauce gave a wonderful touch. I also added some serrano peppers in vinegar. You should try it. Thank you for the recipe.
Made these with my gf and we both absolutely loved it! Super easy and quick to make! We used kewpie mayo instead of regular mayo and it added a nice accent to it!
Looks good, i'll omit the condensed milk, and reduce the mayo (ill put a thin layer directly on the toast)... i think a drizzle of hollandaise would rock this.

@@InvaderSqwid Maybe a liquid sweetener like agave, stevia, or monkfruit. Anything sweet but low in sugar/carbs. I went ahead and made it with condensed milk since the only sweeteners I have are powdered, and it was great. But it's pretty obvious the sweetness of the milk is supposed to mix with the spiciness of the sriracha. So unless you love spicy eggs I'd go for a liquid low carb sweetener instead of nothing at all.
for any Americans who are wondering, i tried making this today with very generic brands you might of heard of, wonder bread, regular jumbo eggs, white cheese slice and heinz mayo, normal condensed milk, and siracha, as well as bacon as a substitute cause i do not like ham! i can definitely tell you it all works out and the combination of american mayo, condensed milk, and siracha is very good! nothing odd and is a very pleasant sweet and spicy taste, it was not overbearing but definitely stands out in the best way possible, american eggs as they are i think the best situation is 2 eggs per toast, rather than 4 eggs, in my situation 4 eggs was just too much for 2 slices of store bought bread, i also substituted the ham with bacon, also kind of an issue, since the bacon didnt lay flat, unless you have a proper dish to hold the toast in this like taco like form, it is also very difficult to manage this as well haha, all in all though the recipe is delish, the grand take away is the sauce combination that i will definitely be using on other things as well !!
Condensed milk may be difficult for foreigners to understand, but there are quite a few sandwiches with condensed milk among sandwiches sold near my house. At first, I didn't expect what it would taste like, but it was quite delicious when I tried it.

I've noticed that Korean cooking channels like this have a particular fondness for sweetened up savory/spicy foods and I imagine the sriracha mayo spread to be fairly sweet. I'm sure you could get a similar texture in the sauces by using evaporated milk, or cream maybe, if you're trying to avoid sweet foods. You'd just need to use less of it to get the same texture.

Try using liquid honey 🍯👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 it would go amazing with mayo and Sriracha or if you have garlic aïoli and crispy onions 🤤 there’s also raw honey which is thicker and denser and has a more gritter taste to it but that’s better for dessert. Honey is a lot healthier too than condense milk.

@@stevenglikin3219 The mayo is unhealthy only because it contains vegetable oil. Mayonaise made with olive oil would be completely fine. The bread is the worst, because refined carbs/sugar are very bad for you, arguably worse than smoking cigarettes in fact. The high carb and sugar content of most foods in the modern western diet are a huge part of what led to our obesity epidemic, as well as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, etc...Vegetable oil is also a big contributor, and should be avoided, but in my opinion at least vegetable oils in small amounts won't cause massive weight gain and all of the problems that come with that. Neither are healthy, but judging from my own experience health wise, bread is much worse. I was obese for years consuming breads, pasta, noodles, muffins, etc. stuff that all the mainstream "health/nutrition experts" say is healthy, I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, inflammation, lots of other problems that COMPLETELY went away when I stopped eating these things. I eliminated carbs and sugar, and instead went for high fat, high protein. Bacon, eggs, cheese, the fattiest meats I could find. I cut back on vegetable oil as much as possible, frying things in lard instead but still using some vegetable oil on occasion if I couldn't find an alternative. Went from weighing 250 pounds to 180, all lab results at my doctor are now perfect, wounds heal faster, my mind is always sharp and I have energy. Bread is the worst and most unhealthy thing in the video.

Is a sweetened condensed milk used in the recipe? In my country condensed milk of this consistency comes only in sweetened variety.

Living in Singapore I can say condensed milk is used in a lot of things. Never thought about mixing it with mayo before but I’d guess it’s delicious.

Меня смущает то, что это кажется два несовместимых ингредиента Х) нас с детства приучали, что сгущёнка это сладость, то что едят с десертами, а тут её почитают с майонезом и острым соусом. Выглядит странно, но попробовать хочется)

The sandwich looks amazing. One question with the condensed milk, would it make the sauce too sweet. I dont like sweet food.
I've noticed that Korean cooking channels like this have a particular fondness for sweetened up savory/spicy foods and I imagine the sriracha mayo spread to be fairly sweet. I'm sure you could get a similar texture in the sauces by using evaporated milk, or cream maybe, if you're trying to avoid sweet foods. You'd just need to use less of it to get the same texture.
Don't use condense milk for both of them. For top, simply spray black pepper.

@@darky1376 A little bit of sweet really compliments savory/spicy foods, I like adding it in moderation when I have the time and ingredients while cooking
Try using liquid honey 🍯👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 it would go amazing with mayo and Sriracha or if you have garlic aïoli and crispy onions 🤤 there’s also raw honey which is thicker and denser and has a more gritter taste to it but that’s better for dessert. Honey is a lot healthier too than condense milk.

The bread is the most uhealthy thing in the video, really. Mayo probably had seed oil, though at least not full carbs/sugar. Not sure about the milk.

@@stevenglikin3219 The mayo is unhealthy only because it contains vegetable oil. Mayonaise made with olive oil would be completely fine. The bread is the worst, because refined carbs/sugar are very bad for you, arguably worse than smoking cigarettes in fact. The high carb and sugar content of most foods in the modern western diet are a huge part of what led to our obesity epidemic, as well as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, etc...Vegetable oil is also a big contributor, and should be avoided, but in my opinion at least vegetable oils in small amounts won't cause massive weight gain and all of the problems that come with that. Neither are healthy, but judging from my own experience health wise, bread is much worse. I was obese for years consuming breads, pasta, noodles, muffins, etc. stuff that all the mainstream "health/nutrition experts" say is healthy, I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, inflammation, lots of other problems that COMPLETELY went away when I stopped eating these things. I eliminated carbs and sugar, and instead went for high fat, high protein. Bacon, eggs, cheese, the fattiest meats I could find. I cut back on vegetable oil as much as possible, frying things in lard instead but still using some vegetable oil on occasion if I couldn't find an alternative. Went from weighing 250 pounds to 180, all lab results at my doctor are now perfect, wounds heal faster, my mind is always sharp and I have energy. Bread is the worst and most unhealthy thing in the video.

Condensed milk in the US is really sweet, but in Korea they also use a non-sweetened version!! So it works well
