Me personally on my sandwiches I gotta take off the crust because I looked forward to a soft sandwich not w crusty with it but with french toast I am okay with it because it's toasty
I’m making some for my wife in the morning for Mother’s Day , with powdered sugar whip cream blueberries and eggs, she loves French toast, it’s been a while since I made them so I wanted to see a video to make sure how to make them, the ingredients are pretty simple also thanks for sharing your video and the music is so calming
I use whats called Texas toast it is very thick bread and you only need 1 slice and that half and half creamer instead of regular milk if I happen to gave some on hand. I use that half and half on so many things instead of milk when cooking as it makes a big difference, especially in instant mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, cream soups etc
I tried it. It was delicious! I just had some for lunch. Unless you like soggy bread, do NOT douse it in the egg mixture as long as she did! I dipped my 1st piece. Then, I added thw other piece of bread on top, then doused in mixture together. I did not douse them separately or keep pushing the mixture into the bread. That's how it'll become soggy. My FT was buttery & lightly crispy on the outside. The inside was light & fluffy! Give it a try!
That's must be the trick. Mine was too soaked and soft and I will use a bit less milk too. You can see that her egg still is a bit like an omelette but not with 60ml of milk.
I tried it and it was delicious. I added some vanilla powder to the egg mixture and after the toast was cooked I sprinkled some chocolate powder on it. It was delicious, but I think I didn't put enough sugar.❤
Yeah That’s just French toast Nothing new to see here. I prefer to sprinkle my cinnamon on after wards along with some brown sugar and warm peach compote
I’m thinking those eggs & milk in the center of the two slices is still raw. If you want fluffy French Toast, you take those same ingredients put them in a blender on high speed for a minute, put the mixture in a bowl then dip both sides of each slice into the mixture then fry both sides of each slice separately. This is how they’re made at the Ritz Hotel. Also, for the fluffiest omelet ever, do the same to your eggs (putting them in a blender) then pour into a pan and add your meat and veggies. The lightest, fluffiest omelet I’ve ever had - and it’s even better if you want a omelet of egg whites only. ❤
@@takeadeepbreath3609 I only dip for 5 to 10 seconds and then cook over medium until the inside of the bread has firmed, the bread will rise a bit when fully cooked. As for ingredients, I skip the sugar and instead use sweetened condensed milk and add vanilla as well.
If I was going to make this, I would buy cowboy bread which is thicker then the normal size bread. I agree that soaking the bread that long does cause the middle part not to be cooked like the outside. That’s why I leave the crust on in case the bread starts to get browner. I pour the extra mixture over the bread once it’s in the pan.
Where's YOUR video? Cowboy bread is just a thick hunk o bread. This cooks 2 slice remedy offers the batter in the very middle. Imagine a French Omelet. It's not cooked through and offers a delightful custardy middle.
In the USA we call that French Toast but use stale bread and thicker slices. Challah bread and Cinnamon Raison bread makes excellent French Toast. Maple syrup can be poured over it and served with Bacon 😋 Thank you 🥰
I was just going to say that too. Also, I find the cinnamon doesn't mix too well with the egg mixture and gets stuck to the side of the bowl. So, I tend to just sprinkle a bit of it on bread after it is soaked and that seems to work just as well. Also I'll sprinkle powered sugar on the finished French Toast and forgo adding any sugar to the mixture.
@@robertanderson6929Add cinnamon to water and microwave for a short time, just until it mixes and becomes dissolved in the water. Then let cool to add to the egg batter.
Wow. 2 eier usually gets me 5 slices of normal bread worth of french toast. Even when I soak the bread through, I need to slow-cook them to make sure the middle isn't raw. Any leftover ook, I just pour onto the last slices to let it absorb, too. No waste.

I am grateful too
I love it 😍 thank you so much for making such a easy recipe and I love the music ❤
Looks so delicious 😋

I just prepared this recipe 🍞
Thanks a lot 💕
This can be incredible but you have to cook it slowly enough for it to cook through.
And near the end I sprinkle sugar on it and flip a few more times for a wonderful and slightly crunchy crust.
That just looks like a way to have it soggy in the middle. I've been making this since I was 8 years old and the only recent change I've made is that I put the syrup on the plate and warm it 15 or 20 seconds in the microwave.
I met a lady at a party who told me she puts ketchup on it. 😳 I left the room.
LOVE the idea of warming syrup on the plate. Sounds scrumptious.
Hello so you left the room . Sound good, So we do with salt no vanilla no sugar . What do you think now?
Maybe moist at best. But definitely not soggy if cooked properly.
You left the room LOLOL - I would have been right with ya lol
Ótimo 🇧🇷
Just an update , I had to hurry making these this morning. The problem with this is that the egg is still soggy in the middle . It’s so thick it takes ages to cook. Won’t be doing this again unfortunately
Why not cook the bread one slice at a time. Then stack them together on the plate once it's thoroughly cooked?
Do it in the Air Fryer it will taste better still
