- It’s time for a bit of a rockhound. I've been absent for more than half a year, but what I find in the creek, makes me realise the gems I’ve found.

I grew up in Kalamazoo Michigan and I had awesome ’criks’ to explore as a child. Some of my best childhood memories are from playing there. Exploring rocks and everything else a child’s imagination can bring. 🙃♥️ I’ve saved rocks from most of the places I’ve traveled in the states and I put them in my aquarium.😁

Nature and rockhounding has saved my sanity many times.
Rockhounding helps ground me when the world gets to loud. One of the only places and things where everything else stops and it's just me, nature, and the hunt!
I found micro garnets on host rock in a RANDOM place and it just made me feel so amazing. That's why we do it 💜
Oh man! It was so good to see you back out there! We have really missed you! You are just in a different league to most people. Its not even the finds, although those are wonderful, but your attitude, your message, the way you treat other people, and the way that the whole world has fallen in love with you Rookie. There isnt anything about your personality, that isn't worth loving! I have learned so much from watching all of your videos! I went from picking up pretty rocks, to knowing how to cut, polish, and display them... Rockhounding has been a life changer for me. Reminding me that I can take a few minutes for myself no matter where I am, clear my head, focus and rejuvenate myself, with as little as a few minutes even just looking at asphalt potholes and seeing the different rocks. Gives me a boost, and brings me back to my center. So when I'm lucky enough to get some real beach or creek time it is amazing. Yourself and a couple others helped remind me how much I love rocks, minerals, crystals, fossils, ect.. and how much I NEED nature! Thank you for starting this channel and for sharing your journey because it inspired me to start my own journey and to become conscious and present in my life and my kids lives. So from the bottom of our hearts, my family and I thank you!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

You inspired my son and I to start our own channel finding "glowys" in our neck of the woods and right when you left we hadn't even cross that 100 sub mark, now we are approaching the first milestone and we have you to thank for giving us that inspiration to go out and document our journey! You found so many great chalcedony find on this hunt! From 4:00 - 4:30 , some massive chunks of beautiful crystal. It's crazy how similar our finds are, I liked the one with green attached to the outside, never know if that's mineral or organic manner, also the host rocks, who doesn't love a good chalcedony still attached to the original matrix? Just beautiful finds! I speak for everyone when I saw we are glad to have you back. Thanks Jesse!

6 months ago on 10/14/22 My 21 year old Son suddenly suffered a catastrophic stroke due to his kidney disease. 3 days later he took his last breath surrounded by his 4 siblings and my husband and I. 7 weeks later on December 8th, my Sister suddenly died as well. Rockhounding and watching these videos always gives me such peace, and clears my heart and mind. Tonight I decided to get back on and watch some Rockhounding, and your video was the first to pop up and play. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us, even while you are struggling. It means a lot.

I went through a breakup a few years ago, having been with him for 19 years… my whole adult life. It was hard, and scary, but meanwhile, I found happiness inside of myself. I would have never gotten there if I hadn’t gone through that tremendous loss. I believe in you!

Rockhounding helps me get my mind off the harder stressful things in life and makes me realize that life needs to be simple. It has helped me cope through the tough times as well as the times that were fun and full of love and happiness. It really is the best medicine! Glad your back 🍻

It’s great to see you posting videos again. I’m a Colorado and Montana USA rock hound myself and it’s amazing to see the treasures that you find so far around the world from me. My husband is from Forsyth MT, the same river access that Katie searches in her videos. I’ve rock hounded the same shoreline but have never found what she finds. I thinks she picks them all up before I get there every July. Please keep up the awesome content. Watching them takes all my cares and worries away!
Found a gem in you too friend. 15 years engaged for 6 and she left me 4 mo ago for a coworker she just met. Idk your situation but the bit about finding yourself again I related hard to. I think being almost winter here in the US it’s hard to “escape” to my happy place walking in the river, however finding your channel has been a true blessing over the last year. Been hounding more than ever trying to find peace in the death of my 22 year old grand daughter. I've been in Western Washington for 10 years and oddly finding extraordinary pieces studying geology since her exit. I think she's guiding me. DON'T be afraid to look like a tweeker Y'all. We MUST take our peace wherever we can find it! ( PS is this curtin creek) U must try Paradise creek in Carson Washington!
