What beautiful agates you are finding! We have tons of them here in Maryland but the quantity of the quality is a little less than where you are at. However, we are loaded with nice scarlet carnelians. They appear to be falling out of the head of a mega geoglyph of a nephilim! A small river cutting through it's head to blame. The river is golden because of it's golden clay bed. I feel like I'm the only one that knows this. You used to be able to see this geoglyph from Google Earth, but not anymore. Hmmm. Cheers Mate! 🍻 We also have corundums, beryls, unikits and more! Just mostly not very gemmy. But some of them......ah yes.
Ohhhhh hey now… there could be shadow botryoidals… 🤔 I guess if there’s bands in the bots then it would have to be possible right? ✨✨ Yeah he needs a bum bag. We left our bags in the car thinking it’d be too flooded for us to find anything but ended up hunting for 2 hrs hahaha 🤦♂️

Hi Jessie. I love watching your videos and learning. It took me a while but i finally was able to find citric acid at a local store. I want to clean my agates before i put them in my tumbler. Could you please give me step by step directions on what i need to do. I know i can trust what you tell me. Thanks so much for your help.
Oh thank you so much Cordy, look I’ve gotten very relaxed with how I use it. I pretty much use a bucket, put the rocks in and then sprinkle the citric acid over the rocks and then pour hot/almost boiling water over them and I usually do a full bucket about 4 litres of water for 75grams of citric acid. Or close to it. It’s not going to eat away the oxidised stuff that looks like rust, but more just clean the organic stuff from the creek off of them. It works really well. I leave them soak for over night but it can sometimes work even after an hour or so. That’s why a clear container is good to use. I don’t like leaving them for longer than about a day. Any more and it’s almost like it etches them. Once they’re done I rinse them off and put them back in the bucket and add baking powder/baking soda and water into the bucket and let them sit for about the same time they were in the acid. This just neutralises any that’s left on the rock. I hope that helps mate. Also you don’t need gloves, sometimes you can feel it tingle on your skin but I just rinse it off under a tap.

Wow, guys, you're lucky to get out into the creeks. The creeks near me are still in raging flood mode. Plus they have changed so much since the major floods of Feb/March 2022 in Northern NSW.
Yeah the waters have dropped pretty quickly but it’s absolutely incredible just how much the creeks have changed since then right!? I hope you and your family and friends faired well in the floods Elaine! Thinkin of you nsw’ers.

The 'Botryoidal Growth Habit' you point out at 6:25, what causes that? I have found some yellowish-orange pieces similiar to that shape on the Mississippi, near St. Louis, MO.

Hi Jessie. I love watching your videos and learning. It took me a while but i finally was able to find citric acid at a local store. I want to clean my agates before i put them in my tumbler. Could you please give me step by step directions on what i need to do. I know i can trust what you tell me. Thanks so much for your help.
Oh thank you so much Cordy, look I’ve gotten very relaxed with how I use it. I pretty much use a bucket, put the rocks in and then sprinkle the citric acid over the rocks and then pour hot/almost boiling water over them and I usually do a full bucket about 4 litres of water for 75grams of citric acid. Or close to it.
It’s not going to eat away the oxidised stuff that looks like rust, but more just clean the organic stuff from the creek off of them. It works really well.
I leave them soak for over night but it can sometimes work even after an hour or so. That’s why a clear container is good to use. I don’t like leaving them for longer than about a day. Any more and it’s almost like it etches them.
Once they’re done I rinse them off and put them back in the bucket and add baking powder/baking soda and water into the bucket and let them sit for about the same time they were in the acid. This just neutralises any that’s left on the rock.
I hope that helps mate. Also you don’t need gloves, sometimes you can feel it tingle on your skin but I just rinse it off under a tap.

Wow, guys, you're lucky to get out into the creeks. The creeks near me are still in raging flood mode. Plus they have changed so much since the major floods of Feb/March 2022 in Northern NSW.
Yeah the waters have dropped pretty quickly but it’s absolutely incredible just how much the creeks have changed since then right!? I hope you and your family and friends faired well in the floods Elaine! Thinkin of you nsw’ers.

Thanks Kelly, so the rock at 5:00 is rhyolite with chalcedony in it. Like a big chunk of an even bigger Thunderegg or rhyolite flow. 😁

It's never fun to watch folks be harmed by nature but it's a part of living on this gorgeous planet we call home. The turn over in the rock beds for you guys is CRAZY!!! The jelly opal find was definitely my favorite. Pauly's first bit of carnelian looks like it may be part jasper too! Will tune in to his channel in the hopes he cuts and/or polishes it! I'm glad to see your videos again. I got this Friday off PAID so I'm resting up after fighting a gnarly cold for most of March and the first bit of April. It wasn't covid, but was the nastiest cold I've had in probably 5 years. Can't wait for your next video! All my best. The 'Botryoidal Growth Habit' you point out at 6:25, what causes that? I have found some yellowish-orange pieces similiar to that shape on the Mississippi, near St. Louis, MO.
G’day gen goose, so that’s actually a crystal growth habit. It’s how the crystal grows. I wish I could explain it more in detail but that’s kinda all I know. Orange-yellowish pieces are even prettier, they’re carnelian ones!
