As a beginner quilt maker, I created a 'garden path' pink quilt for my daughter's wedding gift. As a self taught quilter, and before I discovered You Tube videos, I didn't know about how to put the final borders on. The quilt was NOT square at all! I was more a rhombus. Still 4 sides that were parallel, but not queen bed size. It now lives on their sofa, and not the bed! For the backyard wedding I cut a 12" square of every stash piece that had pink in it, cut using my pinking rotary cutter blade and made napkins for the guests. Afterward I took those washed squares and cut bricks for the quilt. That's my story ,Measuring the sides is a MUST
I love a quilt that has different patterns that stand out separately and disapear when you aren't looking for them It has a name, just can't think of it, love your quilt.
Another great tutorial. Another VIP pattern to add to my ever increasing to do list! Even your thread bunny on Ruby is neat, I think it might be the neatest one I’ve ever seen!
I love this!! I don’t have to add to it,my grandson is 7 foot tall and I am always looking for easy patterns that will fit him but that his partner loves.Thank you!!!
Becca, Love the quilt. Also, can you tell us where you got the 1/4” guide for the 301? lol, Third thing, have you had a chance to give any thought to the video on the ruler comparison?
Hi Cheryl - the link to the pattern is in the description box. All patterns are available in my Etsy shop/my website - both of which are also linked in the description box! :)
Love the singer but what happened to your Juki? didn't you have a Juki? I have the 2010 TL and LOVE it. I also have a 1911 red eye singer, but needs a motor since I don't have a treadle.
I do have a Juki - and I still use it. It sits on my second table - I use it for bigger projects that need more power, or as a second machine when visitors come over. I intended for the Singer to be a travel machine, but I just fell in love with the 301 - and am enjoying my time with her!
The star and spool pattern is linked in the description box of the spools & stars video (which looks like it’s the video you’re commenting on) 😁 Here’s the direct link: sewbeccashop.etsy.com/listing/1796383647/spools-stars-quilt-pattern-pdf
