If you have a high intelligence build (with sage armbands or intelligence rings), you can kill Lilith in the Undergorund Gallery (secret room to the right of the tall corridor with the succubi) for 20 000 exp. It's slow but safe if you fight with Uranus/Thunderbird and heal with Jupiter/Mandragora. When you can deal 120 damage to Dullahans with Venus/Thunderbird, you can run into the room and attack twice with the whip before they run away, but you'll have to go back up to the top and save when mana/health run low as you'll take damage each time. Also, get Dark Armor from Lilim (secret room in Machine Tower after defeating Death) and Double Grips from the 'Dark Armor' enemy in the top of the castle.
That's more then I could ever ask for. Thank you for the strategy. I'll try to use this next time I play it because even with this method from the video I wasn't strong enough to complete that ultra hard multi room gauntlet preventing me from 100% the rooms and that's something I always try to at least do in the series.
@@silvore64 At lvl 70, with a few healing items, cross sub-weapon, and some mind highs (get them from those infinitely spawning mushrooms near Twin Zombie Dragon boss room), arena is easy, even in Thief mode
@@HajimeAru At the level I was at I got i think two thirds in but one of the main problems was wanting the white and black cards in there from those two enemies so the being extra prepared and a higher level will make a difference.
This Wind Demon spot is excellent, 2 or 3 hts for 3600 Xp. Then, when you will one shot the Dullahan (2200 Xp) you can kill 2 at the beginning of their room, which is the best spot to level up above 55.
I thought of grinding out at the dullahans, but I think it's faster to grind with the wind demons even though you have recover more. There's also the spawning mushrooms in which with the right cards you can leave your game for days and get stronger, but they barely give exp so you literally have to leave it on for days.

This is the US version but I believe that there are ax armors there but only for the first half, by the second half of the game all the enemies on the map changes into stronger enemies so in that room it changes into those guys. However I don't know the differences between the pal version and the American version.

Golems, hyenas and killer bees can have a chance of dropping this armor piece, but it's been years so I don't remember which one I got it from.
