    Finally an actual comparison with X-T4! Every other video just ignored it and compared to XH2 line...
    I did see a couple of other reviewers complain of the drive dial moving with ISO too. Hope that is fixed.
    For now, am happy with the X-T4 :) But this for sure is a good upgrade candidate.

    I watched the video until the picture example at 5:00. The one from X-T4 is blurry :) Did you do that on purpose ? lol. You will never get that blurry image even on the 16M X-T1.

    So what I'm getting from this is professionals using X-T4 when considering upgrade should look to the X-H2/X-H2S rather than X-T5?
    It's a shame that it seems the target range for the X-T5 seems lower than the X-T4 because the manual knobs are very nice to have.

    The X-T5 is a beast. The Perfect camera for Fujifilm professionals that want the higher megapixels. Also happy to see the improved autofocus. I do have a gripe. The tilt screen. I don’t like how the LCD is always exposed.
    For me, I prefer the X-T4 because of the more versatile flip out screen screen. If I’m paying $2k+ for a camera I need to be able to see myself recording videos on it if I’m vlogging, taking group selfies or doing home videos with the fam.

      Not being cynical, but that's precisely why the X-H2 exists as well

    • @ads3453
      @ads3453 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@avonperera2187 But that's a different type of body entirely. You lose the controls of the XT-4. Plus you will still suffer from the rolling shutter issues they have with that sensor. The only upgrade for XT-4 owners is the £2250 X-H2S and that just has the same resolution sensor so what's the point ?

      Every camera out there that I have had any interest in has been ruined by the Flippy Screen. You have a plenty of choices out there. Thay don't all have to have Flippy Screens! Some of us use cameras for photography. I don’t take pictures of myself.
      PS... Every digital camera I've ever owned has had an exposed screen. Not one has ever been damaged.

    • @ads3453
      @ads3453 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gregrobsn for macro photography the flippy out screen is superior to the old design in the XT-5. When you say photography in “better for photography” you mean “your photography” please don’t assume it’s better for all types.

    • @gregrobsn
      @gregrobsn ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ads3453 : Why not? I'm tired of seeing every video blogger out there insisting that EVERY CAMERA must have a flippy screen, just in case some self-absorbed TikTok tweaking teen might find it's the only camera in the room when the urge hits them to create content.

    Not that much of a difference, biggest thing for me is the battery grip available on the XT-4. The X-T4 is kind of in that sweet spot of having XH features in a XT body. I don’t need 40Mega pixel. Most people don’t either. 😂 Also reviewers act like the X-T4 is so massively heavy. 😂

    • @onblur
      @onblur ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a xh1 and an xt4. They are pretty much interchangable. I was stoked about the xh2 until they went to the psam dial format. I'm probably going to end up with an xt5 because I like the flip out screen and the dials, but I agreee completely that 40mp more than needed and sort of a pain. 4 out of my last 5 bodies have been 24ish, and I love it. I had a d800 that was 36mp and it just made the processing and transfering slower. I'm really not sure I want to deal with 40mp...

    • @GoneDogging
      @GoneDogging ปีที่แล้ว

      @@onblur I have always used Xpro's but decided to try the XT4. the handgrip and body size do not allow comfortable allday holding at armlength, and the new body coating chaffs the skin too. I sold it. I will be interested to try the XT5 with smaller profile
      Thank you for the excellent video

    • @onblur
      @onblur ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GoneDogging I don’t love the xt4 grip either. I bough the battery grip to improve it, but I ended up liking it best with a small rig extended grip. It was cheap and really improved the ability to one hand it.

    You are the third reviewer I've seen that mentioned the ISO dial issue. That suggests to me it isn't just a fluke with a particular reviewer, but some sort of design flaw, no matter how minor. Hope it gets resolved in the next batch of shipped bodies.

  • @peterdejong5456

    You didn't mention X-T5's image stacking 160 MP mode (only suited for studio product photography and interiors. Also the X-T5 screen does not cover up and is not protected as well as on the X-T4. Finally, there is a separate grip available, just not a battery grip.

    • @peterdejong5456
      @peterdejong5456 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also the X-T5 viewfinder can be adjusted for eye distance which is very convenient if you are wearing glasses.

    • @JeffreyHauser
      @JeffreyHauser ปีที่แล้ว

      Prefer an optional battery grip, as all prior X-T bodies had this offering. Longer lenses do NOT balance well on the X-T5, particularly when shooting portraits for extended periods of shooting. No interest in the X-H2 or X-H2S for me.

    • @peterdejong5456
      @peterdejong5456 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeffreyHauser There is a MHG-XT5 grip option with Arca-Swiss mount for better handling. The battery can be changed quickly without removing the grip. Fuji seems to have dropped the battery grip option because not many where sold, more shots per charge on the X-T5 and because of cost. Also the X-T5 has excellent digital zoom and crop in many cases eliminating the need for longer lenses.
