My experience with the XT5, the autofocus especially for animals and pets was great. The resolution bump was noticeable. After a few days use I noticed a dead pixel on the rear screen. Sent it back for a refund. Waited three weeks for a replacement which is still on backorder. Cancelled the backorder when I realized I'm still perfectly happy with my x100v and XT3. In the end I just couldn't justify the cost of the XT5.
@@dan.allen.digital Just wondering where you purchased it from lol? Just bought an open box from B&H with what seems to be a dead pixel in the top left corner. Super torn on sending it back.

Thank you so much Roman for these useful thoughts about the X-T5. I purchased the camera and I use it along with the X-T4 for travel and street photography. You're my favorite photographer on TH-cam. I've been taking photos for almost 2 years now and take a lot of inspiration from your photos and try to learn from them. I have an X-T30 and am waiting for my X-T5 to arrive now.
As an X-T4 user, I tried the X-H2, hated it and returned it. The form factor was too big for travelling (for me anyway). Also what keeps getting missed is that X-H2 range only have 7 presets which have to be shared between video and photography. On the X-T5 you get 7 presets for each. Its size is also compelling - it feels way better in my hand. As for the flippy screen, even as a videographer primarily, I much prefer the tilt screen - it is faster to set up. But then I don't ever video myself - so I guess I understand it is an issue for those that do.
The 5 seems an interesting beast. Some noteworthy improvements over the 4 but not so drastic that I feel compelled to take the loss on my 4 and upgrade right away.
I feel like the X-T4 hits that sweet spot. Some XH features in an XT body. I.e. flip out screen and battery grip and a better built. I feel like I’d be giving up more upgrading. Instead of needing two cameras just one. Either way the X-T5 is a great camera but for my needs the X-T4 fits more for me.
Don't know if I agree with the EVF comment. For some reason as someone wearing glasses the new EVF with the XT5 is SO much bigger. I was in between getting the xt4 again and the xt5 and the increase size of the evf alone is the reason to get the XT5. The XT5 has been a really nice upgrade from the XT4, the increase in photo quality is apparent, I'm blown away everytime I look at the photos from the camera. Only thing I don't like is the mode buttons seem to move more than the XT4.
I love your custom mode trick! One thing that's surprised me with the X-T5 is that almost any change I make only applies to particular Quick Menu group I'm in, and is a permanent change until I change it again. Which means you can have seven vastly different groups of settings to toggle between. Which is all good fun for simulating old film types or for responding to certain environments, but I've used your trick to allow me to toggle back and forth between them an a lovely generic group that I can trust to get good detail in any light. To reduce wear and tear on my camera, it's also the only group fully set to a shutter other than electronic, so that I can switch to it in one button press when needed.

I feel so much better watching this, Roman! Thank you. It completely justifies my XH2s just perfectly 😃. I have extremely small hands and wrists so the XT5 would have been perfect, size-wise. Fortunately the XH2s is on the border of being just the right size and weight. I don't need all those pixels! I got mine on day of release and absolutely love it. When I first opened the box I honestly thought they'd sold me an X-T30, it looked that small. Mine will be my main stills camera alongside an X-T2, with an X-T4 for mainly video work. Loving the extra resolution already :-)
By far the best “first looks review” I’ve seen on this camera and looking forward to the follow up to see how you’re getting along with it next year. I’m trying to patiently wait for the Xpro4, but the Xt5 is so tempting.
Great video and yes, it takes time to truly review this hardware. I’m still learning it after more than a month and a half. I don’t agree with all the naysayers arguing that it’s an unjustifiable upgrade. If you’re a Fujifilm photographer and have been on one of the older bodies, comfortable with the system and menus, and use these cameras professionally, it’s truly justifiable. I have found it as reliable as the X-T3 and the focus system greatly improved. The enhanced video features are a great added benefit. But with any new system/processor, it takes time to learn how to use it. It’s not completely turnkey. Great video.
One of very few opinions I take to heart right here. Even with a bigger price difference here in the US it was still close enough for me to choose the XH2. However, when I feel it’s time to add a street only camera, the XT5 is at the top of my list. Looking forward to the coming videos!
Used XT 4 are max £1000 for a like new item at MPB. If you don’t mind a bit of scratch it’s like £850!!! Clean sensor and all. No brainer deal, so glad to have been able to now afford one and sell my xt30 😊
I'm glad you addressed the buttons that seem a bit less robust compared to previous models. When I received the X-T5 the first thing I did was comparing it to the X-T2 and the first thing that I noticed were indeed the buttons that were a bit more loose. Regarding the price the X-T5 is way too overpriced in Europe (2000 euro). If you have a fairly recent model I don't consider it an essential buy. I waited two years for the X-T2 after its release to buy it and I had to pay 900 euro. I'm not sure if this is still working in these times. The X-T4 is out for more than two years, but still is selling close to the original retail price.
Super happy with my X-T4, but as I bought that second hand from a store with 2 years warranty for 1250€ one year and a half ago, I’ll probably get the T5 in a year or more with a similar formula, cause I really like the dials and everything form factor. H2 is super performant but I don t need that and I’d not be crazy about the design found in all other brands. Kills a bit of the magic doesn’t it ahah? Super personal opinion of course, H2 is an amazing camera.
Hello dude. Thank you really for this video. I’m an old FUJI user and my camera is actually the XT4. I will upgrade to the XH2 next year especially for the EVF which seems much more pleasant to use. have a great end of year. JB
The best camera is the one you have with you and as the great Don McCullin said “ The photographic equipment I take with me on assignment is my head, my eyes and my heart. I could take the poorest equipment and I would take the same photographs, they may not be as sharp, but they would certainly say the same thing.” - So please, lets’s stop fretting about the gear, it really doesn’t make you a more intuitive or creative photographer … let’s be honest, a zillion ‘camera club’ Leica owners are testimony to that! 😉
Just bought a X-T4 , 4 years to the day of my X-T3 purchase.Price was right. open box demo, same as my 16-55 lens. Did I need it, no, but I figure the X-T4 is my last as a retiree hobbyist. The X-T5 is more camera than I'll ever use. Should get a great price on the used X-T3 market from what I can see.
I went with the X-H2 and am very happy with the better the components, handling and build quality over the X-T5. The EVF and shutter on the X-H2 is so satisfying.
Smaller size and inability to fit a battery grip broke this deal for me and I will not add one to my current lineup of X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T3 and X-T4. And I had been REALLY looking forward to it quite some time. For me, a real disappointment.
I would pick it up in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact that there's no vertical grip for it as opposed to the xh2. It's so much more enjoyable to take portraits with a vertical grip. The xt5 form factor is tempting though because I like light gear....😕 Not in a rush to part with my XT4.
As an X-H1 user, I wished for an X-H2 with retro dials and the same 3 way tilt display. So for the longest time I argued against buying one. But for 1645.- CHF in Switzerland ($1768/ £1468) it would have been dumb to say no. It's even cheaper than the X-T5 (still only preorder) and only 160.- CHF ($172/ £142) more than a new X-T4. And you get a 4-year extended warranty.
I own xt20 and updated to XT5 and be very happy with the camera. Pairs really well with 90mm F2.0. focus speed is way faster and IBIS is really impressive.
Since the X-T5 came out I got a pretty decent deal on the X-T4 at my local dealer with the 18-55 lens and went for it. Personally for me it is a big improvement from the Nikon D350s which I bought after Highschool in pretty much every aspect. Since I don’t crop a lot or blast my pictures on house walls the higher price wouldn’t have justified the pixel increase for me personally. I am happy to join the Fujifilm family and are looking forward to a lot of great photo sessions. Thanks Roman for your videos and inspiration that have been part of getting back into this wonderful hobby!
It can be argued that the XT5 (or XTs in general) are exactly what you don't want as a travel camera. For travelling you want to minimize weight. You want a smaller visual presence to be inconspicuous and not attract thieves. You want a smooth topped body that doesn't have a middle hump to ease the hundreds of times you pull a camera out of a bag to use. The idea travel setup are two light rangefinder style bodies to minimize lens changes.
In Switzerland, X-H2 body is cheaper than X-T5 body. Call me crazy but i ordered the latter. I just can’t see myself grabbing the X=H2 on a dark snowy night to go out for some shots.
Love my X-T5, and I'm really starting to think it can replace my X100V, especially if I pick up a smaller 23mm lens (come on fuji, we need a 23mm pancake lens!). I'm looking to get a 27mm F2.8 though. I think its the slightly smaller size and better grip the X-T5 has, coupled with the lighter package that is pushing me to part with the X100V. I just cannot see me using that camera much any more. I Kept my X-T4 as this is my main hybrid and video camera, although the X-T5 is very capable as a video shooter. The 40mp allows for more cropping too.
@@snapsbyfox Certainly something i'd consider, but Its handy to have two bodys for what I do, so am happy to keep the X-T4. The X100V, though, is probably going and I can put the money towards some glass.
Currently shooting with an X-Pro2, I'm VERY tempted by the X-T5. I just sketched out on squared paper the difference between the coverage of the 40Mp sensor and that needed to fill a 4K screen. I often shoot at waist level and the potential for cropping, straightening and reframing is insane! Like the one-touch custom mode idea by the way.👍
Glad you mentioned the way dials and buttons feel. I was recently on the hunt for an upgrade for my xt2 but found that both xt3 and xt4 felt cheap on my hands compared the xt2. I decided to keep my camera for a few more years. I wonder if it is related to fujifilm moving its production of xt cameras to china or not. I also would like to compare my xt2 with xh2 and xt5
Thank you for such a great and informative video! 🙏I was wondering if you could please share what lenses did you use for your Edinburgh and late night London sets? Stunning work!
Excellent overview. Really useful, and reinforces my New Year plan to upgrade from X-T2, but only to an X-T4. Not easy for me to justify the extra £££s for an X-T5, for the reasons that you mention. Really liked the deep-contrast shadow shots around London, too.
Not a huge fan of street photography but your work from that day really appeals to me. Very enjoyable to watch. Looking to sell my X100V and X-H1 for an X-T5. This should be _the_ camera for me.
Great review. so far I love this camera which is no surprise since it is so similar to T3 and T4 and I love them too. I think it's a suitable upgrade and build quality can only be judged over time (as you said). I think the X-H series is not a matter of "if you can afford it." Fujifilm is so darn affordable that it really comes down to preferences. That's why they make so many different models, different cams for different people.
Nice initial review We have 1 X-T5 in our mix of cameras, and don't have a bad word to say about it. (but I am more than happy with the X-T3s too since i don't print bigger than 18" x 12" and don't need to crop) We don't own any of the X-H cameras and the reason for that is we don't need the deep buffer, and the cost difference between the XH2 and X-T5 was a lot more in reality, due to the need to buy CF Express type B cards that would have added at least another £500 to the price, when currently we have lots of very fast SD cards. Eventually I'm sure we will need to make the jump to CF Express type B cards with new cameras, but by then the price will have dropped too
I'm honestly glad that I started photography with the xt200. I have a ton of upgrade options already and I don't have to feel bad about wanting to upgrade, cause any upgrade at this point will be monumental. I will say, whenever it's time to upgrade, I will miss having my 3 top buttons mapped to aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Super helpful for changing settings in manual mode on the fly. Just wish I had more film simulations built in.
Thanks for the video I have heard a few people saying the build feels a bit cheeper made. I will wait for now till I can get my hands on one to see for myself. Thanks
I was quite struggling with my decision H2 or T5. In general I would go with the T5 but love the custom settings on the H2 similiar to my x-s10. So this trick is just great, thanks a lot!!
Waiting for x-pro4 with same specs and new titanium (or maybe platinum 😅) design) my point of view is that x-t5 is a bit a step back from design perspective... like flashback to x-t3 a bit... no feel of something new in hands...
Roman, thank you for the review and all your inspiring videos! got XT5 recently and still in a very beginner mode using it (was having Nikon cameras all my life) but loving it already! could you please add the trick you are sharing in the end with custom settings to your blog as text? you are doing it so fast that I cannot catch up :)
Hi Roman, Thank you for sharing that both informative and beautiful video 🔥. I got an XT4 beginning of the year (I’m coming from an Xe3) and I really think it is a very capable and fun to use camera. Throughout my journey with the xt4 I mainly complain about the flipping screen, the chunky feel of it and sometimes the autofocus.. I was about to sell my Xt4 and upgrade but the main concern I have is about the files size .. how much bigger are the 40MP files and how much impact would it have on the storage/editing system you use ? Thanks for that feedback! Cheers from France !
Excellent walk through and first impressions - looking forward to your full review. I have been waiting for this camera and finally I think Fuji has got it spot on for photo first shooting. Traded in my XT3 and really enjoying the XT5. I think your comments about the slightly "cheaper" feel especially against the XH2 and the extra feature set that the XH2 gives is a little harsh!! XT5 has exactly the same processor and sensor so the image quality, low light performance and auto focus will be exactly the same. I can't comment on the build quality as I have not held the XH2....but to me, one is purely for still photography with a very capable vid spec for those who want it, whilst the XH2 is a hybrid camera. I like the way Fuji has gone with how they have put a marker down and separated stills, hybrid and video first cameras
Honestly it's nothing to do with the processor and sensor... It's a bit like buying a premium car with a 600bhp v8... but on the lower trim model, the plastic inside is a little cheap you know. As for features, the XH2 has more features... not everyone will care (I don't) but some would
My first xt series camera was/is xt2. In November I went to Fuji event in local camera shop and as soon as I took xt5 into my hands I couldn't shake off feeling of "cheapness" while holding it. Comparing to my xt2 I had a weird felling about finish on the body and how dials, buttons operate. In the end I picked up used xt4 because of ibis and money saved will go probably towards new sigma 18-50.
@@snapsbyfox Yeah understand that - but the XT5 and the XH2 both have the SAME sensor and processor....the engine room so to speak. I get your point about maybe the materials and such will be better on the XH2, but I'm interested in what the guts of the camera can produce. Interesting never the less
@@snapsbyfox It's interesting that Andy Mumford, in his review of the XH2, commented when he first picked it up: "It didn't feel as well constructed as something like the X-T4." He then followed that up with saying once he became used to it, it felt very solid. This was before he had held an XT5. In his subsequent review of the X-T5, he commented that "this does feel like a really well made camera. It's really solid in the hand, it's almost all metal except for the doors. Like all of the XT cameras before it, it really does feel very well made."
While the X-T5 is a great camera on most fronts, I agree with Roman's critique that it feels a bit cheap. I own an X-T10 and that camera, which was released 8 years ago and sold for $799, feels sturdier than the $1,699 X-T5. The X-T10 has aluminum top and bottom plates and aluminum dials that add weight to the camera and instills confidence in the build quality. It has a louder and more satisfying shutter sound than the X-T5 that registers in your hands when triggered. This may be a drawback for some but for me it enhances the tactile feel of the camera. I plan on purchasing an X-T30 and when I do so I think that camera will easily become my go to FujiFIlm camera. Paired with a grip, it's extremely mobile, comfortable and capable.
Hi roman, how do you expose / edit for picturs like the one at 13:38? I find that when i try this the sun blows out the rest of the picture, and if i change shadows / highlights in post with masks it doesnt look quite natural
the XH2 price differences isn't just the camera price, it is also the CF express card and reader cost imo. So unless you have those, you are upgrading a lot more in reality.
I would like to put in my 2 cents (or pence depending on which side of the pond one is). The XH2 lacks the focus lever, the click command dial, and the tilt screen that the XH1 had. It seems the XH2 made turned one step processes in the XH1 into 2+ steps. These are the reasons I decided to get the XT5 in stead. Interesting (read that "unfortunate) solution fuji designed for the exp comp function in the XH2 and XT5. In the former, one must first press the exp comp button then move to a dial somewhere. And on the XT5 they kept the exp comp dial on the deck (which on previous generations of XT's it ALWAYS got turned accidentally). But the XT5 also has a clickable comand dial that can be programmed to exp comp. So the XT5 has duplicated this funciton while the XH2 has made it more complicated. I like the latter functionality which makes the large top deck dial supurfluous. I personally am not married to vintage controls. IMHO, the most important fact is the number of movements required to execute a function should be kept to 1 for as much as possible.
Loved the custom setting tip, immediately tried to replicate it on my xt4 and realised 1) you can't recall custom settings 2) it wouldn't save the focus and photometry options :(
The only thing I wish the X-T5 had now, is 2 or 3 custom settings similar to the HX2/2S. Otherwise, I will probably purchase the X-T5 to accompany my X-T1.
Hey Roman, any thoughts on the AF-C issues some other reviewers have mentioned? In your photos, have you noticed getting a green focus lock but then the actual shot ends up being blurry?
Great video as always Roman. I am very tempted to buy X-T5 but I think I will wait and see what X-Pro4 brings to the table. If they will change screen to "normal" and include IBIS this will be a no-brainer for me due to the small rangefinder size for street and travel. By the way aren't you tempted by X-Pro series ? They seem perfect for your style of shooting but I may be wrong.
I really want to rent one of these. I love my X-T4 but there’s time where it does feel chunky. As crazy as it sounds I don’t think I could go back to a normal mode dial style camera. I’ve gotten so comfortable and used to Fuji’s layout that everything else just feels foreign to me.
The XT5 EVF is still the same as the XH1... still waiting for an upgrade. It's bizarre to me that the photo-centric camera was cripple hammered this way.
What's your view on the bump to 40 megapixels? I don't think it's worth it simply because of the larger file sizes one has to deal with. 26 megapixels was the sweet spot imo.
Another issue, as I understand it, is that 40mp goes grainier in low light that 26mp. I'm no expert, but am still happy with my upgrade from the X-T4 to X-T5 for hobby stuff.
@@emreozdemir253 Mine seems ok so far. And I've heard some reviews saying it's good at night now, so amixed reviews. Love it as a camera - much more than my X-T4.
@@frankboyer1490 I've seen tests on its losslessly compressed RAW option that show it's basically indistinguishable, yet half the file size. The camera also has that fancy option for HEIF instead of JPEG, as a sort of upgrade that won't hit its stride until more other software supports that format.
Thinking of getting this next vs Leica Q2 or Q3. Hobbyist looking to do passive income through photography in a few years. Seems like X-T5 (or 4) with a waterproof lens = the Q3 but not quite Q2 due to the lack of flip screen. I travel a ton overseas! Often find myself in a foreign country doing night photography. Regarding the price the X-T5 is way too overpriced in Europe (2000 euro). If you have a fairly recent model I don't consider it an essential buy. I waited two years for the X-T2 after its release to buy it and I had to pay 900 euro. I'm not sure if this is still working in these times. The X-T4 is out for more than two years, but still is selling close to the original retail price.
thanks Roman, your honesty is greatly appreciated , keep up this great work mate, you've won me
Super happy with my X-T4, but as I bought that second hand from a store with 2 years warranty for 1250€ one year and a half ago, I’ll probably get the T5 in a year or more with a similar formula, cause I really like the dials and everything form factor. H2 is super performant but I don t need that and I’d not be crazy about the design found in all other brands. Kills a bit of the magic doesn’t it ahah? Super personal opinion of course, H2 is an amazing camera.
not a single photo I was not in love with! great work
Really happy so far with the XT5! I love that recall C1 Function mapping feature. Allows me to switch from color to B+W instantly. Genius new feature!
Hello dude. Thank you really for this video. I’m an old FUJI user and my camera is actually the XT4. I will upgrade to the XH2 next year especially for the EVF which seems much more pleasant to use. have a great end of year. JB
I recognised the photo of carousel in Edinburgh and the castle view. Thanks for sharing your views and photos.
Nice and honest review, perfect. Awesome little switch trick at the end. 📸
man walking with architectural building at 4:22 Shot, is FANTASTIC!
I just agree.
Nah. I can take better photos on my XT3 compared to my D7000, plus it makes things easier too.
I agree! I love the images on my xt5 but every image I take with my lx7 is more special to me.
But then how are these tubers gonna make money? It’s not about the art as much as it’s about the equipment nowadays. Sad.
You take some beautiful pictures man and you made a great video!
I got robbed outside that place at 1:29 years ago. Poor soul only got away with a kindle…
Wouldn’t get robbed round there now… would just get a hipster look down on you for not using real books or something
Yeah totally agree. I'm tempted to get the X-T4 with the 16-80mm lens for same price as X-T5 body only.
@@ManJustLivingLifedid you buy the X-T4? Looking to buy the 4 or 5
It can be argued that the XT5 (or XTs in general) are exactly what you don't want as a travel camera.
Right? The XT-5 fun factor is off the charts. It’s my favorite camera for when I am shooting for fun and family.
To be honest the XT5 can replace both your cameras... unless you need specifically 2 bodies
@@snapsbyfox Certainly something i'd consider, but Its handy to have two bodys for what I do, so am happy to keep the X-T4. The X100V, though, is probably going and I can put the money towards some glass.
You can probably get all your money back on an x100v too
Currently shooting with an X-Pro2, I'm VERY tempted by the X-T5. I just sketched out on squared paper the difference between the coverage of the 40Mp sensor and that needed to fill a 4K screen. I often shoot at waist level and the potential for cropping, straightening and reframing is insane! Like the one-touch custom mode idea by the way.👍
Great video Roman. I do like the new screen flip set up on the XT5.📷👍🏼
The T2 is a monster. Used it for 5 years, all weathers. Images are amazing
Thanks Roman, another top quality production.
I just bought the X-T3 new this year for 920 EUR. As I never shoot videos and barely crop my images I don't really need Ibis and 40 mp.
Dear Roman, I really enjoyed your watching your street photography style. All the best.
xt5 is on my wish list but I'll have to use my xt2 for now, it is a good old trotter after all 🙂
Thank you for such a great and informative video! 🙏I was wondering if you could please share what lenses did you use for your Edinburgh and late night London sets? Stunning work!
and the Screen is in line with the lens direction! it help a lot by taking pictures or videos with nearby objects! :)Love my T5!
Oh I have been waiting for this video 👀
I think the xt5 should had the xh2S sensor with some very good functionalities and permanent grip.
Nice initial review
We have 1 X-T5 in our mix of cameras, and don't have a bad word to say about it. (but I am more than happy with the X-T3s too since i don't print bigger than 18" x 12" and don't need to crop)
We don't own any of the X-H cameras and the reason for that is we don't need the deep buffer, and the cost difference between the XH2 and X-T5 was a lot more in reality, due to the need to buy CF Express type B cards that would have added at least another £500 to the price, when currently we have lots of very fast SD cards.
@@markhou that's awesome! Where was that?
Thanks for the video I have heard a few people saying the build feels a bit cheeper made. I will wait for now till I can get my hands on one to see for myself. Thanks
I’ve never been this early to a video before, amazing point of view! Love the video!
Thank you, just what I needed.
I was quite struggling with my decision H2 or T5. In general I would go with the T5 but love the custom settings on the H2 similiar to my x-s10. So this trick is just great, thanks a lot!!
its a hard choice for sure
An excellent review! Thank you. Can you share some your preferred settings of your XT5?
Waiting for x-pro4 with same specs and new titanium (or maybe platinum 😅) design) my point of view is that x-t5 is a bit a step back from design perspective... like flashback to x-t3 a bit... no feel of something new in hands...
Roman, thank you for the review and all your inspiring videos! got XT5 recently and still in a very beginner mode using it (was having Nikon cameras all my life) but loving it already! could you please add the trick you are sharing in the end with custom settings to your blog as text? you are doing it so fast that I cannot catch up :)
How on earth did you remove the inner metal circles ,of the eyelets, to add your Peak Design adapters like that?
thank you for your opinion! Your shots are nice btw, looks like you have photo educational background
Hi Roman,
Thank you for sharing that both informative and beautiful video 🔥.
You often take amazing pictures with the sun in the frame but you never have flares. How do you do that? Maybe could be a topic for a video?
Love the videos Roman!
In Turkey, XT 5 is cheaper than H2. You should look at the official Fujifilm in UK.
Great photos and great review as usual, thanks! Does this have the same battery as XT4?
the XH2 price differences isn't just the camera price, it is also the CF express card and reader cost imo.
Which lens did you use for the shot behind the woman @ 9:57 to get all that bokeh!?
Loved the custom setting tip, immediately tried to replicate it on my xt4 and realised 1) you can't recall custom settings 2) it wouldn't save the focus and photometry options :(
The only thing I wish the X-T5 had now, is 2 or 3 custom settings similar to the HX2/2S. Otherwise, I will probably purchase the X-T5 to accompany my X-T1.
Excuse me, if XF18 F1.4, XF33 F1.4, XF23 F1.4, these three lenses can only buy one, which lens would you recommend?? Thank you
eversince i bought my xs-10 i watched every vid. u post
He’s said in other videos he prefers to use the lcd most of the time so I’d imagine not really his cup of tea (also didn’t like the x100v)
I really want to rent one of these. I love my X-T4 but there’s time where it does feel chunky. As crazy as it sounds I don’t think I could go back to a normal mode dial style camera. I’ve gotten so comfortable and used to Fuji’s layout that everything else just feels foreign to me.
If size is your only reason to change, I wouldn't bother... it's not thaaaaat much smaller.
$1700 because your camera feels slightly chunky at times? Go on a trip somewhere cool.
@@_noahrh Sounds like he would be trading/selling the T4
The XT5 EVF is still the same as the XH1... still waiting for an upgrade. It's bizarre to me that the photo-centric camera was cripple hammered this way.
Does this have the same issue that the X-H3 has with your saved settings carrying over from photo to movie mode?
Great tip at the end.
@@mikefoster6018 I'm thinking about buying xt5 but i shot at night so im worried about grain. What so you think
@@mikefoster6018 I wish they'd offer a setting to downsample to 26 in camera or have more RAW file options before exporting.
Super video, and really appreciated the tip
Did you end up doing the indepth review - you mentioned in this vid that you want to use the camera longer then do another review?
The C1 to C7 feature is also in the XT4 isn’t it?
When are you caving in and moving to Nikon with a Z6II Roman?
I think the xt4 has custom settings too?
Thinking of getting this next vs Leica Q2 or Q3. Hobbyist looking to do passive income through photography in a few years. Seems like X-T5 (or 4) with a waterproof lens = the Q3 but not quite Q2 due to the lack of flip screen. I travel a ton overseas! Often find myself in a foreign country doing night photography. Dunno...thanks for this review and the awesome pics!
