#1. Is Dolores 85 or 90 years old? When talking to her DIL her thinking about the roles of husband and wife indicate she must have been born in 1930’s.
Even so, what culture says that the wife must treat her parents as strangers and only care for her in-laws? The constant badgering of the DIL to become pregnant is akin to abuse.
Dolores failed in raising her son, he is nearly 40 and cannot care for himself. She apparently was unable to teach him to be a faithful husband and instead let him believe that he could do anything he wanted without repercussions.
