If one has to get a loan for a one-day wedding, then something is wrong and you're living above your means. Life continues the next day, as in work, food, bills, rent/mortgage, etc. I've known people who went above their pays for their 'supposed' once-in-a-lifetime event and are now divorced because of their debts. You DO NOT have to clean house everyday the way Regina means. You straighten up, do dishes, empty trash. But with only two people in house, if they pick up after themselves, the other chores can be done on a rough schedule depending on need. You don't need to scrub floors or do laundry daily, and you don't have to entertain people unless YOU invite them. No drop in inspections by inlaws allowed!

Honeymoons should be decided by the newlyweds not other relatives. If Regina wants to go on a trip, then she should plan and pay for it herself. Just don’t tell her where you’re going or tell her a different destination than yours. Just a suggestion.
