Maybe in Japan the chances of starting a business without a college education is much harder than in the US. I mean we are talking about a culture where grades are so important that the suicide rate in teens is very very high

@KenshiImmortalWolf You were told the answer, that's why. Most of these cases come from Asia, obviously because of the talk of "dirty blood" and someone signing someone else's divorce papers. In the US, we are a huge melting pot of different cultures so you don't usually hear the term "dirty blood" and we sign legal documents in the presence of someone so there's a witness like a notary or a lawyer. They don't really do these things in Asia. People think these cases are from the US because we take them and use American voices, but there are obvious hints that they're from Asia and not the US. In Asia, honor and reputations are HUGE but not so much in the US. We don't like to be slandered but we usually handle it ourselves rather than taking them to court. Our reputations aren't like in Asia where most of them save themselves for marriage so if someone talks about someone cheating or sleeping with someone then the accuser had better have lots of tangible proof to back it up and not just rumors. Ever watch those Asian dramas? If you did then you'd hear the phrases from the videos like this one and know they're mostly Asian cases. So there's your "gotcha" they said was "telling." Those Asian dramas are everywhere. The US has even remade several because a lot of English speaking people in the world don't like subtitles (I personally don't mind them) but they still use the exact same scripts they just say the lines in English. A lot of the videos like this one were acted out in Asian dramas. When your playing a game or surfing the web and one pops up in an ad, click on it and watch it. I find the differences in culture fascinating. Most of their storylines are a lot alike but every once in a while a fresh story comes out.
Forging someone's signature on divorce papers is a federal crime, in the US.

Why? MIL was an ungrateful brat, and FIL and hubby are unemployed. Why turn her in when the courts would undo the filing and force the OP back into a terrible situation where she would be made to continue paying for the FIL and husband, when she doesn't want to be married to the husband.

I cannot stand it when the voice actors say “lull, loll” .... Or something similar to that. LOL means: laugh out loud. Laugh out loud means it’s really hysterically funny. The voice actor could actually be doing a little laugh, chuckling or giggling or something to that effect! I’ve noticed a couple of really good voice actors that ignore the “laugh out loud” when it’s inappropriate in the sentence.

Marcus does have a case if the story was based in the US. We've had thieves sue because of injuries they got while robbing people.
We in the US have a lot of loopholes and lawyers ready to help for a piece of the settlement.
If it's unreasonable and dangerous? Of course. Killing somebody or harming them is typically considered the more serious crime compared to tresspassing and stealing. There are proper and safer ways of handling trespassers. Like calling the cops. Booby traps, especially outside your home? That's just reckless. What if the neighbor kids accidentally kick their ball into your yard?
