Jim, Jim, Jim. I have run out of words that describe your artistic talents. The black walnut bowl is AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL & SPECTACULAR all in one. Be well
Can you believe I saved a bucket of walnut shells just in case I decided to get into resin pouring? Wow! From the looks of what you created, I just may have to go ahead and do it!
Absolutely, this is your most beautiful and unique piece yet. You have to definitely make a Halloween piece utilizing these walnut shells and use pumpkin orange with a dark charcoal colors.
An Absolutely Awesome Vase Jim, Sandra is a very lucky lady to have a hubby who thinks to get something like this made just for her. Hope she really enjoys it
I came back to look at the finished product again. For the third time now. I love the tortoise shell colors that come from the depth of the resin inside the shells.
My favourite colour combo! I love how the purple has filled in the shell voids with the waterfall green swirling around the shapes. An incredibly crazy cool final look, I am with you there on that description, Jim! I definitely look forward to seeing more walnut shell pieces in the future 😍
I'm from Illinois, we have a lot of Black Walnuts. I've always thought they were a pain! Especially when you step barefoot on the broken shells! This piece though is fantastic! Who'd have thought walnut shells could be beautiful!
I always think you can't top a stunning piece you made and then you do! OMG that falls into my top three pieces of your work. So yes please, use walnut shells again. Congratulations on such an exceptional piece. 🤩
Honestly whoeever got this piece is absolutely lucky. It is sooo gorgeous! The walnuts, they look like they have little galaxies/nebulas inside them. Just gorgeous.
You make it look so easy, I know there's a lot of experience and time behind you. Just the confidence you have in choosing materials and colors, really inspiring. Love this finished project.
I used to see walnuts and chestnuts on the ground while walking to school as a child. Never would have imagined they could be made into something like this! Looks like abstract art. Beautiful.
This piece is so beautiful and has so much character! After you added the first coat of finish, the purple sections were actually very visible, even if you didn't see it on the camera. The overall look with the small pockets of purple inside the walnut shells was a fantastic effect. Considering how all those faces looked, maybe you could do another one of these in the fall with orange resin. It would look like mini jack-o-lanterns. :)
Wow, wow, wow. I love the pops of purples, blues, true greens, and browns peeping through. I also love the squirrel face with oversize teeth that shows up at 28:35 at the left third of the vase and the bird on the bottom. Absolutely beautiful.
Jim: another wonderful project completed. The shells really look like faces and martians from outer space. I like the foot that you made as it adds that extra touch to the finished project. I guess as you come up with your ideas and then finish the project it would be hard to give the vase, etc away. Each project is something to look back on and can give you ideas for the next one. Take care and stay safe. PS: I think we are in the last few days of snow.
Lovin the shapes of the walnuts in the epoxy. Cool looking bird shape on the bottom and a few monkey faces through out. Love the DESIGNER EPOXY. Found it to be the best.
Outstanding project piece Jim! You’re really know how to match colours so beautifully. What a wonderful husband to gift his wife an individual piece of art 💫
This piece has an amazing look to it. I loved the hints of the purple in peeking out og the swirling green and the pops of more vibrant tones in the shell voids. It's fun to hear your thoughts on the project as the video proceeds. Great Job!!
I’m only just now getting to watch this, when you said purple and green, my heart did a flip! Those are my 2 favorite colors. ❤❤ You referenced the look on the sides as waterfall, I saw peacock feathers. ❤❤❤ Ok. Back to the show❤😊
Who would have thought walnut shells would come out such interesting and beautiful shapes. I will vote this is one of your most beautiful pieces. Because of the walnuts and the colors of the resin
That’s stunning! Those shells look like tiny brains, or maybe exploding stars, which makes me think that blue and purple might be an awesome colour combination with those walnut shells. 🙂🌸
I think it would be incredible to fill the shells with resin in blue, green, red, orange and purple, then cast them in yellow for turning! 😍 or something like that. This gorgeous and I see the purple! So incredible!
This was my original idea, but the shells were bit up too bad for that to be done. If they were halves, that would of been perfect. Thanks for watching!
This project was a delight to watch from start to finish! What a treasure. The new mic does make a difference in the audio - loud and clear. I agree that you should do more projects like this one. It has been fun watching your focus change as you do different shapes and projects. I still like your bowls with inlays, but your resin work is just phenomenal.
One suggestion from Farmer John from Ontario: Since most of the visible nuts are towards the outside, putting the chamber on a slow turntable during the early part of the cure would spin all the nuts to the outside rather than being wasted or cored out in the middle. That would entail an alternate power arrangement for your chamber if it's continually powered, or else powering the chamber and spinning it alternately ... there would be a key time in the resin set where a quick spin would do it ... might not work for a two colour pour ... John
Another amazing creation ! There are so many things you could find in each one of those, kind of like looking at the clouds. I really enjoy learning tips and tricks from you. You're like my mentor even though we've never met in person. Keep these awesome creations coming!
Wow, that’s one of my favorites. The Designer Epoxy colors went together perfectly. The masks/faces remind me of an old movie with natives on some forgotten island in the South Pacific. Can’t wait for another like this.
What an amazing vase, it's beautiful. When I saw the green and purple, i initially thought yuck. But as usual you created another stunning piece from unique items, you are a true artist.
the shapes the walnut shells make are super interesting, they remind me of the corruption trees from a game called Chicory: a colorful tale. that's kind of a niche reference, but anyways, the point is this is a really cool piece, like always :)
One of my favourites phrase I hear…heard it when I watched one of your videos for the first time…& it has kept me coming back……’Looks like I forgot to spray mold release (reaches for hammer!)” Yet you save (almost) every bucket! Gorgeous nuts, Jim!!! 😝
Jim! You have outdone yourself. Thank you for the narration of your thought processes. I have had some unasked questions in the past and I feel informed now. And great work too.

With lots of resin, sure. Thanks

Thanks for watching!
That is the neatest looking thing ever. I’ll be looking for walnuts in the future.
Thanks!
This piece is gorgeous! I love the natural black outline around each walnut piece, think it really helped accent the different colors!
Agreed! Thanks

Truly awesome turning!! The walnut shells make it one of a kind no matter how many you turn. Thanks! Designer epoxy
Thanks!
This is super crazy cool. I absolutely love all the unique 'faces' the shells made. Hope you get more shells!
Me too, thanks!
Very cool indeed. Looks to me like lots of 'creatures' coming through from a different dimension. Very, very nice indeed!
Many thanks!
I don’t even have words to describe how stunning this is.

incredible shapes from the walnut shells! It's almost alien looking. Another wonderful Designer Epoxy project!
Thanks!
Man I hope so! Thanks

Haven’t heard from you in a while, welcome back! Don’t think this method would work like you say with a two color pour. Thanks for watching!
First you have to get more empty black walnut shells and that requires making a contract with squirrels. Not easy to negotiate with.
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you very much!
Another incredible masterpiece, Jim! Designer Epoxy!😍
Thanks again!
That’s turned out awesome, them walnuts give it some really cool images, another awesome project, keep up the great videos.
Thanks, will do!
You are always coming up such amazing pieces. Those patterns are awesome...whoever the recipient is, they're extremely blessed 😁💙

In all my epoxy/wood turning channel watching years, I never thought I'd see a guy put his own nuts in a pour. Freaking awesome, Jim!!!
I’m dedicated to the cause, haha. Thanks
Lol! OP, you're funny!
That is definitely my favorite piece that I have ever seen you make!!

It's all in the technique, haha. Thanks
Wow. What a great piece. Might be my favorite. Great great job. Always a pleasure to watch you create.
Thank you very much!
Wow neat effect!! Your own little “bowl of horrors “ and we love that Designer Epoxy
Yes! Thank you!
