Stop trying to use this for ASA guys, it's not gonna work. I'm trying to come up with a new trap for ASA but they behave different, it's hard to get consistent impregnations with a trap.
This trap will work to catch the rhynio on ASA. But not to impregnate. Meshing stops it. However you can do this. Then get to below 10%. Close the door and let it out when it has agro on pheromone dino. Get away from trap impregnate the. Get on ptera and lure it back in. Trap it again for future use. Few extra steps involved but can still be done. Just make sure the clear any other Dino’s in area first before releasing. More helpful to have a tribemate or ally to help the retrap.
I didn't catch any of the live streams you did in developing this trap, but I watched a few hours of the VODs. Mad respect for the process you go through to come up with these traps.
That 2 minute cooldown explains so much, good to know the height doesn't matter as much as initially thought as well. Great editing and vid as always, Cap 👍
For some reason, a select few people are having them escape between the doorframes. I think it might be something to do with the server. No point updating the video right now because there will be a new one with ASA anyway, but If you are having this problem, you can replace the doorframes on the top section of the trap with double doorframes.
@@DeCaPiTaTe-0117 ASA will be delayed beyond 2023, I expect it to be out Feb of 2024. Ark has very bad team and refuses to purge employees. All you have to do is look at Arks track record expect nothing different same management same community managers.
We are having this problem on official PS4… wich door frame we need to replace? All? My tribemate just replace the ones with doors lol.. now i found that are the top ones…

I really appreciate the fact you put the time in finding the controls and key bindings for each gaming platform. A lot of tubers say here's the control on pc I don't know what is on console so we're moving on. It's a very nice accommodation to the trap videos.

I have been wanting a spino trap forever that was cheap but effective and I watched your video and it helped me out a lot because of your trap I now have a level 200 spino
and he's done it again! i wasnt able to be there for the 2nd stream with all the trap designs, but i remember the first one was just a really tall box with a long corridor haha, when we thought it was related to the rhynio getting stuck at the top and not being able to do its animation. amazing to see how its evolved, i cannot wait to try this out. thanks again for your hard work fatdog!
Wow, your videos are getting better and better! Love that you kept googly eyes, but then you jump to a professional vid with layout, making it clear for anyone who sees it for the first time. You're an inspiration to keep on trying making unusual traps and modify them each time a dino bugs/slips out of it!
I love using your traps on my servers with friends. They say hey do you know how to build a trap for ‘x’ and I’ll be like oh yeah for sure gimme a few minutes, watch one of your videos, and start on the trap and my buddy sits there the whole time like yeah okay there’s no way this is gonna work, and like clockwork it’s the best trap I’ve ever used for it. Most recently we trapped rock elementals and the whole time he was like really? How is this even a trap? It’s so dumb that this works. It was a great time, appreciate the time and work that goes into all this ❤
By far you're most convoluted design, but it kinda has to be lol. I appreciate the effort! I'm definitely going to make this on my Official server and try it out when I get off work today. 😁
Yeah, they are really easy to kite around with another rhynio so I figured it's worth spending the time to build one good trap that will get a lot of use. Hope it works well for you 😊
Thanks. This looks a bit better than the standard Behemoth-Gate-Trap, though that'll also work I suppose. However beware that when logging out or leaving render distance, your Rhynio will most likely escape the trap (structures are regarded as non-existent unless rendered).
This is awesome, and I'm gonna show this to my friend asap. Also, The higher the creature's drag weight the better the stat transfer for the ryniognatha. Giga's and carches are good at 950, but I think bronto's are better. Not only do they have 1K dragweight, they are much easier to tame and breed.
They should make the Pheromone color and the Impregnated color different kind of like the reaper when you’re close to them with a light pet they glow yellow and when they’re ready to impregnate they glow the reddish/pink color. So I think for this they should do the pheromone glow as yellow and then when the Dino is impregnated it turns pink because from what I’m seeing it’s the same color for both but just a bit bigger of a glow area

Thats so much cheaper than behemoth gates stacked in a row. Really like all your trap designs. But sadly i think most traps have to be reworked for ASA since the walls will be higher there.

Yup, all traps will need to be redesigned for ASA. Some of the older ones are due an upgrade anyway, I've learnt a lot over the last few years.
