Incorrect. It's far easier, and efficient to run around with the amarga, and hunt bigger targets, and get it done faster. Nothing can go wrong, especially with netguns.

This is why you're better than alot of tutorial TH-camrs for ark, nooblets in specific, idk why but he constantly seems to talk down to his audience, especially in his recent amarga taming vid. With your content, it's just straight to the point and tested well. And plus, your traps are almost always foolproof.

Well it is kinda of better in this one. With noobs you can tame indefinitely ones with just a alpha Rex trapped. Nooblets just over did it with the metal billboards which are cheap but not necessary to trap it

I really like this method - it's not depending on some more exotic things especially early game (like having an alpha-rex standing in walking distance to my high level Amarga....), I can recreate it whereever & whenever and it's cheap to build. Great work, keep it up!

Awesome trap. One suggestion, if I may. Could you make a brief note in your videos to encourage people to use vanilla/non-modded components in their attempts to duplicate your traps? I'm not sure if it applies to this one in particular, but some of your other traps I've had issues replicating with S+ or SS (because inconsistent snap points, or other behaviors that aren't seen in your videos). With so many people playing single player, or on private servers, and with how common those kinds of building mods are, it might be helpful to remind people about that. Thanks for all your hard work and creativity. I love how succinct you are with your builds and tutorials.
@@Serpensorzia I tried that, but apparently that works only with certain components (like the refrigerator, for example (I think), and more singular components). That option doesn't seem to exist for things like walls, supports, etc. I'd love to see that as an option though!
I've yet to tame one of these, never looked into it, and now I never want to. That tame looks PAINFULLY slow even with the trap helping. Christ, I had no idea it was such a mission.
This is quite the wonderful trap, its very versatile and can work anywhere. great for your first amarga! where i can see this trap failing is late game if you want a breeding line of these or just in general plan on taming more than a few, in that case id suggest nooblet's method. most people however arent going to be doing that and may not have tribemates or a quetz/skiff to help the process so id say this is a great option! I do see some people disparaging other creators, but i find that distasteful. If you dislike the conduct of the person keep it to yourself and dont involve people who had nothing to do with it.
For PvE it is really the only option as we cannot pick up and move wild dinos and while yes u might be able to tame other ways you will however be risking the tame and your own stuff doing it another way.

I saw a pretty good trap earlier today that made me think "Hm, I should try this" but RECORD SCRATCH ! This is the trap I need. Bonus points for thinking of the Owl, every video I've seen so far was all about the cakes, but this is cheaper XD When I first saw how the Amar had to be tamed (and checked that Immersive Taming was of no help ; well, it was right there, I HAD to try, right ?), I began doubting that I could ever tame one myself. Some creatures are just too much of a stressful experience to tame, and with my crippling anxiety sometimes I have to give up on ever having one. But this looks safe and very doable ! Plus I already have a few Snow Owls... Thank you so much for taking the time to come up with these :)
@@SnoGryphon When I attempted it, the Amar ate the first bait and gained a bit of taming, but lost all of it before the second feed... I tried a couple of times (each time there were 2 Amars next to each other, I don't know if it's important) and it always failed. Even if they didn't attack anything and didn't aggro on me. And with my rates (x3) it's about 10 kibble or so for a high level tame so I don't see how that can happen. Admittedly I tried in a gameplay setting, not as a scientific test, and I didn't have curry at the time. Maybe when I do I'll try again and see if it helps.

Your traps never cease to amaze me! Question: Will the trap still work if you replace all of the walls with doorframes, so then you can hit whatever creature your using to tame the Amarga from all sides? Just wondering.
I tried the trap. It was my first time taming this thing so there were hiccups along the way. Out of 3 amars that were trapped, 2 of them got hit by my owl and hold grudge for a very long time. The last one didnt get hit and was tamed. Taming this creature is really a pain. My server is boosted but still took 1 hr for a lv150 using kibbles. Thanks for the trap as always
When it said "hunt with them", I assumed it was about killing enough creatures. But I see it isn't necessarily DEATH they're after... They just crave Violence.

Technically we can't pick up wild dinos bc people would use it to put rexes and other things in people's bases to kill their dinos.

Okay, that's exactly what I did, before I knew about the soups and syncing. I think it might work once you've synced. Who knows?
