Yes, because the leaders of their government channel their income wisely to build enduring infrastructure and improve the lives of the people. Because of this, foreigners find it attractive to come into the country and invest.

What I like very much about this capital city of Tanzania is the smooth flowing traffic and lack of the usual gridlocks which are experienced in populated cities across other African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, etc. Part of the reason for this is few number of vehicles and the people's healthy practice of obeying traffic regulations. It could be seen that Julius Nyerere laid a solid foundation for his country by instilling discipline and sound workethic across the institutions of governance. Many African countries today are ruled by selfish politicians and thieves.

Thankyou for the guided tour. I recall riding past the Askari monument on my Honda 50 to work in the Ministry of Agriculture 1967. Director or Agriculture was Bwana Rugimbana. Dar looks so clean and I see lots of progress. Lovely buildings , great to see Tanzania doing so well. Was that Oster Bay at the beginning ?
