I've been wanting to make some type of portal-style 3D puzzle game. Then the Wowie Jam hosted by Jonas Tyroller came around with the theme "Intentional Bugs". So... Let's do it! A game where you find bugs and glitches in the game and use them to pass each level.
In the end I managed to create a sort of interesting 3D puzzle game with like 7 levels. In the game, you play a person who has discovered they live in a simulated universe. With this, comes a new job, finding bugs in reality! There are like three or four bugs to exploit, moving platforms to jump on, boxes to pickup, and buttons to press. How exciting! - บันเทิง

For a room with 3 switches I came up with an idea that you could actually have 4 switches. The bug would be that after restarting the level the cube respawns at the original position but the clone is still in another room.
That's actually a pretty common bug so you could have exploited it.

This was actually very cool! I've never seen your content before and I love how you made it a regular game, but you use the bugs to solve the levels. I think that was a very creative way to put the "Intentional Bugs" in the game.

It's not an accident, it's an *intentional* bug!
I’d keep the pause button. It would exist just to annoy the player.

I fell through the floor and didn't realize that wasn't supposed to be part of the game until I restarted the level and it spawned me after the "pit" I had fallen into. I also love the fact that you can see you're just a CapsuleCollider in the light in the end room; it's a nice touch. (I gotta say, though, I was not fully convinced that the end of the game was actually the end until I was booted to the title screen.)
The same thing happened to me. In one of the levels the blocks can push you through the wall into the void and that's an actual glitch in the game.

I'm gonna make a game as an honor to skyrim. May take a year, may take 10. I want to mix it with better graphics, actually realistic character animation, bugs that can be useful, but not abused. And a better console command system, because skyrim's is terrible to say the least. Literally only dropped this comment because I'm learning programming and skyrim is a massive inspiration.

@under a rock You clearly don't understand what I said then. I have a whole world of ideas and more, I have thousands of hours, and I know modelling. That's already one step. I've also had experience and slight guidance in the art of rpgs. I had an abusive mother, I learned to read and recreate emotions very well. Storytelling is something I've been practicing, and I know how to fill a big world with lots of things, massive and small, to do. Every unique story, reward, animation, easter egg, there will always be something to do. 110+ more years to do it, too.

@@mrmony7069 no, when you freeze the time, the door will remain open. The block that is needed to open dat door bij a pressure plate, can be moved during "freeze time". This way you can bring the cube to the next part.

A fun bug i accidentally made when trying out a jump n run 3d game was trying to avoid double jump. I made a check if the playercharacter is touching something, so that he can only jump = apply force upwards if hes standing on sth. I didnt check for only ground, bc that would mean you cant jump when standing on an object.
So what happened was: it works fine unless you run face first into a 90° wall and jump. Kinda like a coilgun, you will be accelerated upwards along the whole length of the wall.
Bc the code still says "yup touching a surface, can jump".
The higher the wall; the faster you go.
