Nicely done! I'm also coming back to Tyranids for the first time since Battle of Macragge so I was puzzling over how to paint them myself. I like how you used the same wash to unify the skin/chitin, though I'm not a huge fan of the yellow wings tbh - the pinker skin you had before could be a good match for connective tissue like that.
What are your thoughts on using the oil washes? I've never tried them before. I'd been planning on using my bugs to experiment with contrast paints in pretty much the same way, but so far I haven't been impressed by my results.

Oh wow, someone else is coming from Macragge too, cool.
Unifing washes are very useful if highlights get to extreme in color.
As for the wings I tried to follow the box art however I know what you meant about the pink parts, I probably could have in hindsight but I didn't think much of it at the time.
As for oil washes.... It's a mixed bag, mostly useful for adding color into recess, you can remove it to create more shadow and it really can make a simple paint job look much better. However... The models take a long while after the wash and mineral spirits are added before you can paint again easy, the wash resists future layers of paint and I have to wait a while for it to dry, even if I use a hair dryer. So plan your painting schedule accordingly.
