Babay Dalip Kaur left her sweet home and village in the age of 27 at the time of partition. She reached back in her native village Chak No. 246 GB Shakeera District Faisalabad with her son Charan Jeet Pannu and grandson Dr Dalvir Pannu. It was movements which cannot be explained in words. The whole village celebrated their arrival and people of the village gathered around them with shining faces and gladness. Punjabies love each other beyond the boundaries of religion.

I work in merchant Navy. Once our ship went to Karachi port and I was very curious to go to Karachi but couldn't go outside because of security reasons. Some pakistani officials came on our ship, we had good discussion those people were of very friendly nature ,helpful and they brought birayani and sweets for us after knowing that all crew members were indians. At that time I felt people on both side of borders are very interested to know each other but only problem lies with governments on both sides.

Last wish of my Grand Father's Sister was to visit and meet their Sikh neighbors. I remember that till her last breath, She continued repeating that she had to meet Sikh neighbors, As conditions got worst between two contries, We couldn't fulfil her wish as Pakistani were banned in India.I can never forget the tears in her eyes and her last breath....
