ਮਾਨਵੀ ਕਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਹੁਣ ਘਾਣ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ.

ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਜੇ ਸੋਚੀਏ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਆਇਆ ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ,
ਪਿਆਰ ਸਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਸਾਡਾ, ਨਫ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਬਣ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ.
ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਜ਼ ਮੇਰੇ, ਪਿੰਡ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਂਵਦਾ,
ਰੌਲਿਆਂ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ, ਪਿੰਡ ਓਧਰ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ.
ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਲਭਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਚੋਂ,
ਜੋ ਪਰਾਏ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ.
ਮਜ਼ਹਬੀ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਨੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਰ ਤਰਫ਼ ਹੀ ਗੂੰਜਦੇ,
ਨਫ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਹੈ ਹੁਣ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ.
ਸੀ ਹਵਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਵਗੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਅਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ,
ਦੇਸ ਹੀ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਹੋਇਆ, ਦੇਸ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ.
ਇਹ ਸੰਤਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਉਜਾੜਾ, ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਭੁੱਲਣਾ,
