Hey, I'm Jonathan Griffiths, a 29-year-old with a BSc in Human Nutrition from Bournemouth, Dorset. My journey as an amateur bodybuilder has been unique due to a fused spine from a rugby injury at 14 and my Autism. Despite these hurdles, I've found incredible success on the carnivore diet over the past four years, after other pain relief methods failed. I have since competed twice as a carnivore bodybuilder, with my recent showing on June 2nd 2024 where I placed first against an extremely competitive line-up. I am going to the British finals to try and earn my pro card. Meanwhile, I have had my spine fused in 2022, and various procedures to try and reduce the pain I am in. I am currently primarily a body composition coach in the carnivore community and have helped hundreds of people to reach their goals. The carnivore diet is my only option to try and thrive, and I love it! My diet mainly includes beef, salmon, chicken, eggs, cheese, milk, and butter. I avoid fruits, veggies, grains, nuts, seeds, oils, and sugars. I drink water, coffee, and bone broth. No calorie counting here, just focusing on around 300 grams of protein and fat each day for the past 4.5 years. In the beginning, I lost 5 pounds and felt a surge in energy, focus, and calmness. I woke up refreshed, with no cravings or GI issues. My workouts stayed strong, with better muscle pumps, vascularity, and faster recovery. The diet eased the pain and stiffness in my spine, giving me more freedom and comfort. It reduced my need for medications and improved my autism-related symptoms, like anxiety and mood swings. My social skills and communication also got better. Blood tests before and after the diet showed my liver and kidney damage from a virus had healed. My cholesterol was stable, blood pressure improved, and blood sugar levels stayed low. My liver and kidney functions were normal, with no nutrient deficiencies or hormonal issues. This diet has been eye-opening, challenging many common dietary beliefs. I've learned that meat is highly nutritious and satisfying, and plants aren't essential or particularly beneficial for me. This is especially relevant given the genetic and metabolic traits seen in people with autism. I've stuck to the carnivore diet, with occasional treats like 'Hot Pot' and Korean BBQ, which I can cook myself at restaurants. On my TH-cam channel 'Carnivore Muscle,' I share my carnivore lifestyle, training tips, nutritional advice, and recipes, building a community of fellow carnivores and inspiring others to try this way of life. I fully recommend the carnivore diet to anyone looking to improve their health, fitness, and well-being, especially fellow bodybuilders and those with spinal conditions or autism. In my view, it's the best way to enhance both body and mind. 💪🥩🚀
Wow! What a testimony!! 😊 Just curious what virus CAUSED you so much liver and kidney damage? That the Carnivore Diet actually helped heal that damage is amazing!! 🤩
@carnivore-muscle Jonathan!! You're the real deal. Hardcore influencer for all us men with back issues and mental health. I blew out my L5 S1. The disc leaked on my sciatic nerve. Let's just say i cried for 3 months until i had surgery. I also had a cage put on. I'm 2 inches shorter. The only relief i got was by an inversion table . Brother J. Congrats on your win, how exciting. You're one dedicated sob. Carnivore all the way. It's the only way to go. How cool is it to finally find a way to help. Who would think nutrition is the magical key. Keep on keeping on .
I was instructed to drink 3-4 quarts of water 💧 throughout 2 years of chemotherapy. But as a carnivore I was up hourly during the night to pee. So with sleep disrupted, I did not lose weight but I did beat cancer because of therapeutic ketosis. 👍🥳🤗
@@Adrian-yi8fl carnivore increases the effectiveness of chemo but cancer never would have been an issue if you were carnivore in the first place. Cancer is a man made disease
I'm 47 little woman ,broken my foot over 1 month ago and went carnivore straight away. Even though I can't work out at the moment ,until my bones heal I have noticed my strength levels went up .Yesterday I have pulled heavy plant in pot that got stuck between 2 fences with absolutely no effort .it was stuck there for months and I did try many times before.can't wait when I can properly start working out
I'm 62...Also a little woman...The same thing has happened to me and I don't even work out!! I DO chores on my farm and the added strength that I've gotten from doing Carnivore is SUCH a blessing! My added strength has inspired me to start exercising! 🤩
If you can take advantage of even chair workouts with dumbbells, I would do it. Anything that obviously wouldn’t involve weight bearing on your foot will help retain what muscle you do have. You can also get in cardio simply laying on your back and moving arms, and legs if you can. Like you’re backstroke swimming. Chalene Johnson just did a very eye opening female centered interview with an ortho surgeon on this. Get well soon :)
That’s great to hear. It’s so important to lift weights especially from our 40’s and 50’s onward. Loss of muscle and bone density becomes really debilitating but it is easily stopped and reversed by lifting. Bench press, dead lift and squats or leg press will give you amazing strength gains. Good form is important and start off much lighter than you think to allow time for joints, tendons and ligaments to adapt. Everything will change for you including posture, confidence and well being and you will double your strength quite quickly.
I’m a healthy 59-year-old that decided to go to carnivore for the fun of it. My results I’m astonished. My body I’ve lost 12 pounds that I didn’t think I could ever shake, my muscles are starting to show like never before, my brain fog what I had is gone, bladder issues have diminished almost nothing.
"Hello! I'm celebrating 10 months on the carnivore diet, which has helped me overcome cravings and become incredibly strong! I now thrive in a fasted state, crush it at the gym, and enjoy massive ribeye steaks (2-3 pounds!). Wishing you all the best on your health journeys on your TH-cam channels! And, yes, I'm still a big kid at 51, loving life and family pool parties!"
Relating my own experience on lifting and carnivore. I've been training powerlifts (squats, bench, deadlift, overhead press and rows) since 2018. I was always low carbs (50 g or less a day) but in 2022 I went strict carnivore for the better part of the year. 10 to 15 grams of daily carbs mostly due to yogurt, milk and occasional wine. My lifts actually increased during the year, by +10 kg on the deadlift, 15 kg on the squats and 5 kg on the bench. Currently DL 155 kg x 5, SQ 133 kg x 5, I'm 55 years old.
I’m 57 and have just started on that eating pattern (1 week), with salmon and bone broth thrown in… I’m having a little trouble with maybe not eating enough and wake up early morning needing the bathroom and starving!! How long til you were ‘adapted’?
I have two iced coffees but I have them with mineral drops and I finish them before 9AM. I also quit coffee and it made no difference in my health. So I still enjoy coffee. I gave up carbs, sugar, alcohol....just just STOP asking me to give up coffee!! Not that you did. lol
Your point about rapid recovery on carnivore is absolutely correct. I recover orders of magnitude faster from heavy lifting workouts than I did 25 yrs ago.
When I was strict carnivore, I would constantly get compliments in the gym about how I was getting consistently bigger and leaner. This was despite the fact that my weight was decreasing. I became a little uncomfortable with the low number on the scale even though I looked incredible so I started adding in fruit and honey. I won't lie ... for a while it felt good mentally, but tbh the vast majority of the weight I put on wasn't really the kind of weight I wanted, and I didn't look nearly as good. The compliments stopped as well.
I'm a 49 year old female mobile massage therapist. Thanks to the carnivore diet, I can do a lot of massages with no fear of having muscle strain or joint pain. Prior to going carnivore, I was 30 pounds heavier, suffered from golfers elbow, knee pain, skin and gut issues, decrease in mental clarity. Thanks to this diet, I will confidently provide massages and healing for decades to come.
I lift weights 15 hours a week. Thirty years ago I blew up my shoulder and never got surgery and it never healed 100%. One year ago at 67 I started Carnivore and withon three months my shoulder was healed and today I can lift crazy weight for my size. I am lean at 6 foot @ 160 pounds. My left knee had an issue and it is also gone. It was the fatty meat that fixed me. I also do Jacobs Ladder Torture machine and getting really good at that. That machine is like doing sprints without the joint strain. Carnivore is the way.
@@rontiemens2553 There is NOTHING, I REPEAT, NOTHING you can accomplish by lifting weights for 15 hours a week that you can’t accomplish in 2. That frees up a lot of free time to actually do something productive for yourself or others, create something, spend time with family, go to the shooting range, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, volunteering, reading, kayaking, whittling, building a birdhouse, literally almost anything. Slaving away at the iron for 15 hours a week is literally a cope and quite insane. You could build a business or write a book with that kind of free time. That’s the kind of time an elite level Olympic weight lifter spends training; you know, the ones in Russia who get paid to live in a training facility with the team, have their meals prepared for them, spend their free time in a sauna or playing ping pong, and practice their lifts twice a day. He’s proud of getting good at a “torture machine.” Some day this man will reflect and realize that he spent an absurd amount of time willing damaging his heart and body with unnecessary stress. Or maybe he won’t. Check out Ellington Darden’s work. Less is more my friend.
This Sunday will be 2 months carnivore. On day 3 my joint pain disappeared and allowed me to get back to high intensity CrossFit workouts. I’m 57yo btw.
Story time: Years ago when I was at the University I was following the carb loading cycle and doing the rigorous workout throughout my 4 year course. I did two days on, one days off with active rest and did all body parts. I was very happy with my self researched and put together plan, but my recovery was horrible and had mental fog from time to time which was not so much fun when I had hand ins for my courses. During the first two years I was consuming lots of protein but with the emphasis being on chicken breasts and very lean beef. Anyhow there was a Brazilian BBQ that just opened up close to my gym, and right on my way home where they served fatty cuts of meat straight from the skewers with bad ass cleaver right in front of you. You had a circle label green and for as long as it was green they would keep serving you huge cuts of meat until you turned it to the red side which said that's it I'm full. They had a promotion for our university students for some reason where for lunch we could pay one third the fixed entry and eat as much as we could! I changed my gym sessions so that it ended exactly before their opening lunch session and went there basically every day except for Sunday where they were closed. I ate so much meat I felt like throwing up and didn't feel like I was enjoying even a single bite any longer. I was so damn satiated that I didn't even touch any of my several premade meals for weeks and ended up going OMAD without realizing it. One day in about a month time I caught myself in the gym mirrors by the corner of my eyes and I legit thought it was someone else! I had out on a magnificent amount of muscle, all the while having leaned out. I also felt amazing and could no longer remember all the nagging pains and aches of recovery. Finally my brain was just so sharp I felt zero brain fog. The Brazilian place stopped with the promotion after about a month, mainly thanks to my daily visits, and refusing to eat any of their french fries 😂, but I learned a massive lesson thanks to them and switched to fatty steak and goat cheese and salmon afterwards and the results were astonishing!
It's so good reading all these comments. Carnivore has also changed my life and i feel incredible. I've lost 60 pounds but i still have more to go. I was able to lose weight while eating carbs by being in a calory deficit but it was a struggle. What amazes me with carnivore is how easy it is. Im not hungry all day. Even when i finally eat my big meal for the day, im rarely starving for it. Im eating under 1000 calories a day with ease and still feel good and strong. If i did that as a herbivore i would feel super weak and tired and have no energy. Ive been on high protein for a while but was always eating lean protein (for less calories and thinking fat was the enemy) but being encouraged by this channel to go high fat is what has really made a difference in how good i feel with tons of energy. Not to mention, eating a diet of chicken breast & vegetables was so depressing. Eating steak, eggs, bacon, etc is amazing. I also enjoy the occasional deep fried treat like homemade chicken nuggets with pork rinds (cooked in lard of course) and not only are they the best tasting ever, i don't feel guilty. Its almost as if we were born to eat this way haha. All my pre diabetes issues are residing, thanks doc, truly appreciate it.
My favorite day structure is no food in the morning, working out at 11am, then eating a ton at 1pm and 6-7pm. Doc this video is brilliant for your youtube channel. To take parts from your live sessions and create smaller videos focused on one question, is really nice. Short and sweet. Especially if you have someone helping edit and put out content. Also I love the live videos with the questions and I remember in one of the lives you said you enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! -jason
I recently started my channel after carnivore transformed my world view in five days. Now i wish to show my loved ones and others they don't need to suffer. Wanted to say thank you Dr Chaffee for inspiring me and giving me the courage to do this.❤
Hey Noctem Knight, don't let your trainer bother you, just keep eating carnivore. I'm 50 plus and the best shape of my life. Just like Dr. Chaffee says, you will put on lean muscle mass. Super energy, strength, laser focus, no sickness, no need for sunscreen (at least that's been the case for me). I also internitment fast virtually every day. I workout with weights (intense) and ride at least 75 miles per week on road cycle and more. It is the fountain of youth. Right now, I eat steak, fatty hamburger, eggs, and some cheese. Liquids includes, lots of water, coffee with heavy cream. That's it. Carnivore for life.
Here's something I noticed on the carnivore diet. While pushing weights, whether shoulders, chest, biceps etc... I noticed that I have more vigor and determination. It's like it made me more aggressive and refuse to quit. I'm pushing weights like never before and I only go to the gym twice a week. I went down from a sick 208 pound, 5 foot 9, to 155 pounds 6 foot 3 (just kidding) still 5 foot 9. with 7% body fat, 1% visceral fat and the progress is still going. You know how when you work out, there's that rep that you don't finish because you're afraid you're gonna hurt yourself, or that you're not going to be able to push? Your mentality will change and you'll believe in yourself more and challenge yourself like you're your own tough coach. I'm 48 and have been working out off and on my entire life and I have never experienced this until I started the carnivore diet. But don't expect all that vigor in the first few weeks because you're going to feel like shit, but then heaven's doors would open once you become fat-adapted and you'll feel better than you felt your entire life. That's not just my experience. From what I've been hearing from people's experiences, that's everyone's testimony.
Im well into kickboxing and mma. I feel like i have more energy when im eating a lot of carbs. However i also feel bloated and more tired outside of training. Maybe i just need to give it more time on this diet. Ill keep trying.
I'm 54 and carnivore.... im 6ft tall and i was 285 at the beginning of the year, now I'm 248. I have a 22 year old and I met some of his guy and gal friends the other day. Those youngsters said I was "Jacked"......lol. it made me feel good. In reality, I'm still 28 pounds too heavy......some fat still hanging on for dear life.I want to get to around 220 for over all health.
I celebrated my 2nd Carniversary at the end of December '24, and I more than DOUBLED my testosterone from baseline (110%). I was never on TRT and mine jumped 290 points from 262 to 552 (US units). That puts me in range for 30-35 year-olds, on average. Not bad for a 53 year-old guy. I'm hoping to increase it more for the next time I have blood work done. I also healed multiple chronic diseases. Try Carnivore for 90 days, and you'll never go back! 💪
My PSA numbers went from 4.4 to 7.2 when I went to conivore. I been doing carnivore for almost 6 months now. All my other numbers came out better than before. From what I read a high protein diet will make your PSA numbers to go up. I haven’t found any one else talking about PSA resaults on carnivore.
Fewer but heavier sets a few times a week has been working good for me at almost 40. One or two exercises with 2 working sets per muscle group each workout and I can do that multiple days a week.
I like the idea the idea that carnivore was a weapon in your tournaments! And I got the idea that eating carbs is like a truck try to use gas instead of diesel.
I started the diet on March 10 of this year, I weighed 249lbs, as of this morning I was 210.3. Just beef and eggs, I’m 54 and 6’1, would love to see how far this takes me at my age, no alcohol either feel great thx Doc C
Thank you, you are truly helping me improve my life. I do boxing/muay Thai and weights /body weight workouts, I always read articles about carbs being the best source of energy for these sports. Why do they say that, is there truth in it? Thank you
Exactly, do you want muscle or bulk? Anyone can put on weight if it's fat by overeating carbs, but if you want to put on muscle, you need to eat a proper human diet.
I do body weight training. I workout every other day for around 30 minutes and on the days in between I do a 6-8 minute core workout. I’m 45 and never felt better
At 5% body fat, a person who weighs 100 kg (220 lbs) would have 5 kg (11 lbs) of fat. There are 9,000 calories in a kilogram (2.2 lbs) of fat. So the person would have 45,000 calories of energy available for use. It's a lot, but not 100,000. An average weight man (75 kg) would have 33,750 calories of energy available at 5% BMI, and about 100,000 at 15% BMI (which is probably healthier, anyway). Sorry to nitpick; your content is always excellent.
Nice vid dr chaffee. Question: would you do a video about bio availability of meat with different cooking methods? Like how many nutrients get lost, if thats a problem or not and so on
I would like that too. I tried beef tartar yesterday and didn't really notice much. I only put salt on it. I know it's supposed to have acid of some kind but I was having some in a drink so I didn't crave any acid.
Hello Dr. Anthony Caffee, I also have problems with digestion on the carnivorous diet. Now I did a test for the bacterium helicobacter pylori. The result is positive. Is it possible that this bacterium is causing problems in the carnivore diet?
i did notice being way less sore and when I am it only lasts a day or two compared to before when i would get sore for almost a week. Also its way easyer to hit protein goals when your not filling your stomach with all those carbs. All in all i have had better progress in my last 2 years as a carnivore than the 5 years prior to that on a regular diet.
I've been on carnival only about what three four months lost all my visceral fat but I do lift weights, been on 200 mg of testosterone a week for 15 years I dropped it down to a hundred a week 3 weeks ago and I feel beast I'm as strong as I was on 200 mg of testosterone and weigh in 15 lb more!! That just teaches me that there are so many nutrients in red meat and eggs and bacon there are days when I walk around and I feel jacked pumped up like I've been lifting weights non-stop for 30 minutes It's awesome and amazing at the results I have gotten in just that short period of time praise God
@@Carnivore-Felix wow that’s a lot, I was generally eating about .750-1kg of steak and maybe 700grams of 20% fat mince. Would have eggs, cheese also in between. I have ulcer colitis so maybe o wasn’t absorbing all nutrients at the time. Will be going carnivore again now so I will see if I can maintain weight this time
I really needed this today. I’m two weeks into this and really interested in starting a weight lifting program but was concerned about the energy requirements at 54. Ive heard that you should wait two months to adapt but I would like to get started sooner if it would be okay ?
I have 2 questions/thoughts about bodybuilding on carnivore; 1. Isn’t sugar the best source of “quick energy” performance wise at the gym? 2. Doesn’t cutting out carbs completely make you look way more flat? So from a purely appearance POV it’s suboptimal?
Love it- 2 months in. Question: water is great but I love adding lmnt electrolytes - sodium potassium and little magnesium powder. Any thoughts on that? Thank you
2 gallons of water? That’s 7 litres? Thats a challenge haha I’ve been one week in, I do long runs. At first id get rib cramps very early into the run (dehydrated). After a week a lot more water intake, it has gotten better. Today I managed 14km run before I had piercing cramps. Im hopeful it will get better with me increasing my water intake drastically and with my body adapting.
I have a coworker who is concerned about going carnivore because he believes "red meat gives black people gout". His words. How do I reassure him? And yes, I referred him to your channel.
I’m 56 yr old woman who is a bikini athlete. I started carnivore in July prior to a thumb throat (using my own tendon as my new joint) and got great results. Healed faster than any other patient my surgeon has worked on. 3000 to be exact. I find it very easy and satisfying and I love the feeling of waking without bloat. A month ago I started to have either gerd or an ulcer flare up and then got covid. I lost too much weight that my round muscular glutes went away. I was sitting on bones. Everyone I eat my my strip steak or rib eye, I get sour taste in my mouth and feel nauseated. I ate carbs over the weekend hoping it would help with The burning in my esophagus and thrust. Cracker did nothing only hawaiian rolls. How do I keep going with carnivore when I get here’s that I’m nauseous all the time and don’t feel like eating? I need hello until I see my GP in January.
I am a 52 year old woman. I weight train and trail run. I have been taking testosterone in pellet form for about 10 years. Estrogen was added about 2 years ago. Can women expect the same results with carnivore? I’d like to stop the pellets if possible. Thanks for all of your work!
Carnivore is the answer for sure! One huge takeaway is your body will heal itself and likely resume producing hormones as it was designed to do. Start the carnivore diet and ween off the drugs and most likely you will be well on your way to a full recovery within 30 days. Assuming you have a current blood work up, use that as your baseline and you can run the panel again in 30 and 90 days to see where you stand. Keep in mind that the “normal” numbers are based on people who eat standard American diet. You won’t necessarily fit that mold on the carnivore diet, but don’t let that worry you, especially the cholesterol numbers. Chaffee and others cover that in detail elsewhere. Good luck! You won’t regret it!
Hey Dr Chaffee would whey protein be a definite no on carnivore diet? Maybe an obvious answer but new to this and your content, which it greatly appreciated 💫
Dr Chaffee, do you still treat patients, or know any doctors knowledgeable in carnivore who would do a phone consultation, particularly for seizures? God bless.
???? What does carnivore do for people with high triglycerides asking for my sister I'm on carnivore and I had a ton of back issues from injury... no longer an issue very little back pain loads of energy cardio is insane I can run forever it feels like trying to get my sister to join and she's hesitant due to her high triglycerides
Hi Doc, I’ve battled chronic bloat and distention for over a year. I was the 6-7 meal, 200+g protein, 800+g carb guy for years with no problems. Last summer I started noticing the distended abdomen out of nowhere. I’ve had endoscopy, biopsy, sibo test, food study, bloodwork. All normal. Tried carnivore for a few weeks but didn’t feel any relief. Have you ever heard of something like this?
I take creatine monohydrate on carnivore. I think i read somewhere that you need 12lbs of beef to get 5g of creatine. Its definitely carnivore free as long as you find a brand that doesn't add any BS in their formula
Dr C...at my set weight, have pretty decent Maggie Arms now. My body LOVES Carnivore soooo much and I'm TEAM CHAFFEE sooo much, that I'm now 97 lbs 5'4" and feeling great, but now, I need to know: is there a way to gain back FACIAL, BUTT, AND BREAST FAT? I need them back! LOL I don't want carbs, I know the damage. You met me in Austin at the Sunday Meat Up with the Make Eating Meat Great Again black t-shirt talking to you and Elle next to Kerry. My husband was the guy with the cowboy hat, Ribeye Ranger (Jim). Serious question...I lost too much in each of these three areas. The extra skin, I know will take time, but if you have any suggestions for these three areas to add fat, please let me know. THANKS!!! If it's just a matter of Vitamin P (like Dr. Berry says patience) let me know that too. ♥

Hi I am 100% sure this carnivore is The Way to go - I just see one Big problem especially where i live in Denmark - I have notice that the quantity and the selection has decreased over The last Year and now there is minced Meat with 30% plant in it 😅 there is 100% plant based beef and chees etc. - another thing is if we all go carnivore I don’t Think we have enough food to all of us or have we ?😊

There is plenty of room on this planet to raise more ruminant animals and less plants which need flat ground, which btw destroys the soil unlike ruminants that make it better, & Industry will always adjust to demand, so demand it. Go directly to your local farmer, and support them!
Ground beef. Drain or not? Just trying to figure out macros because I want to. Are the nutritional facts (amount of fats per 100g etc) using all the fats after cooking ground beef or not. Just curious because I’m new to Carnivore and trying to figure a plan without eating ribeyes which are a 50/50 days/protein which make it easy to figure out. But it’s $29/lb in Canada for ribeye. Thanks Day 4 and day 3 was hell. I’m looking forward to the possibility of getting off TRT.
I am on 29th day now with carnivore(2cheat meals), but today I eat rice and something sweet. I wanted to workout today and since yesterday I was with less energy and I eat a lot beef and 9 eggs yesterday. Today I eat 5 eggs but only now after rice and syrup I feel better now. I think for me is 70% carnivore and eggs is good enough, but idk
You dont get 70% of the benefits on 70% carnivore. You're missing out quite a lot, especially the energy. I'm Filipino, and we absolutely love rice. I had to drop it and i feel soo much better and after 2 weeks, i dont even crave rice anymore. Push through the cravings man, and eventually they just disappear
???? How many hours a day does a person an average person ( No bodybuilding) actually need to work out for muscle build / toning . I have heard so many different things from people
20-30 min a day of resistance training is good for most. BUT the diet is the key to all training. The carnivore diet will supercharge whatever you do and you’ll make unimaginable gains. Good luck!
QUESTION: in similar fashion that we shouldn't rate the level of cholesterol on a carnivore diet as being bad because we used people on high-carbohydrate diets as the datum, then what about with testosterone? Should we use what we think would be healthy for a 25 year old when the typical 25 year old is taking a lot of carbs and maybe supplements or what have you? If the typical American diet is poor should youth be the only factor that we take in consideration for setting the datum for testosterone? If you say on a carnivore diet because I'm eating what I'm supposed to be eating what I'm designed to eat then my cholesterol is going to be what it's supposed to be regardless of whether it matches what is considered healthy then should we not do the same with testosterone on a carnivore diet?
Hello Dr. Chaffee, I greatly appreciate all the information you give out. Question: what do you think about supplementing creatine 5g a day? Do you think it’s good or bad ?
Thank you very much! I'm neutral on that, as you can get well over 5g of creatine eating only red meat. But, if you try it and feel like it's of benefit, I didn't see a problem with that!
@@anthonychaffeemd Ok I thought you’d be neutral, I haven’t heard you say much on it. I eat beef Pattie’s and eggs in the morning and some type of meat for lunch/dinner, but I’m still getting use to eating a lot of meat and Its sometimes hard to eat, because I just began eating a lot of meat after not eating the proper amount during the 19 years of my life. So I supplement creatine in order to get the optimal amount for me, don’t think it would hurt to use. Thank you for your response! Keep up the good work.
Hey Doc, do you have info on parasites, and do we need to do a parasite cleanse? What are symptoms of parasites? I was a sickly vegan for 6 years. I’ve been doing carnivore for quite a few months now, and I feel better than ever. I am slowly healing everything I messed up from vegan. I also lift 3x a week. I plan to up that eventually, but I am down 10 pounds and have gained muscle💪🏻 I want to know tho, if we need to treat for parasites? Thank you so much.
Hey that's so great that you're doing so much better on carnivore! I'm really glad to hear that. As to parasites, not everyone will need to do a parasite cleanse, but if you feel that you have them, then I would go speak to your doctor about it and tell them your symptoms and ask if that would be appropriate. Parasites can get into different tissue and you usually have problems with that organ. For instance, many will live in the GI tract and cause stomach upset and/or diarrhea. It just depends though, and if you feel great then you don't necessarily need to worry about parasites. In the western food system parasites and meat is almost non-existent, and it's more likely to get parasites from eggs and worms in the dirt trapped in the produce items from when you were vegan. However if you are worried about it, I would suggest going to your doctor and talking to them about your symptoms to see if that can help :-) If you do end up having something, it's usually a pretty short course of antiparasitics, so should be pretty straightforward to treat if that's needed. Good luck!
I have Klinefelter’s syndrome and have been on TRT for 30 years, I have tried a lot to build muscle and even on carnivore it’s still a struggle. Recommendations?
Doc. My issue is energy. Due to my day job I have to end up weightlifting in the afternoon (approx 1400). Every morning (0430-0530) I walk 3.15 miles with a 30lbs weighted vest and eat around 1030 in the mornings and then don't eat again until about 1600. I just feel I don't have the energy; I can complete 2 sets with no real issues, but struggle to finish the 3rd set and really want to break into the 4-6 sets (doing MRT 3x a week) and body weight exercise Tuesday and Thursday, been doing this routine for 3 months. Been carnivore for 2 years, but just started exercising again 6 months ago.
I want to try this but a couple of people told me I could get kidney stones since I have a history of them.Do you have any info or studies that say it's OK to do this??????

Just curious what virus CAUSED you so much liver and kidney damage? That the Carnivore Diet actually helped heal that damage is amazing!! 🤩
👍👍👍
You're awesome Jonathon thanks for what you do 🥰💪

I was instructed to drink 3-4 quarts of water 💧 throughout 2 years of chemotherapy. But as a carnivore I was up hourly during the night to pee. So with sleep disrupted, I did not lose weight but I did beat cancer because of therapeutic ketosis. 👍🥳🤗

@@Gina-Montana Excellent suggestion!!

I love how he so thoroughly explains how the carnivore diet works 😊 I love being carnivore!

Been carnivore for about a year now, train 5 days a week and feel great! Better shape at 50 then when I was 20.
Congrats on the success. 👏👏
I do kickboxing and for combat sports its also perfect to have a clear mind. The carnivore diet really helps for me.
Im 55 and eat beef, butter, bacon and eggs with water. Recently gave up coffee. Feeling fabulous!
I’m 57 and have just started on that eating pattern (1 week), with salmon and bone broth thrown in… I’m having a little trouble with maybe not eating enough and wake up early morning needing the bathroom and starving!! How long til you were ‘adapted’?
@@petrinaclark3349 Maybe a week or two.
Giving up coffee is so hard 😩 props to you, gonna try again tomorrow
I have two iced coffees but I have them with mineral drops and I finish them before 9AM. I also quit coffee and it made no difference in my health. So I still enjoy coffee. I gave up carbs, sugar, alcohol....just just STOP asking me to give up coffee!! Not that you did. lol
Your point about rapid recovery on carnivore is absolutely correct. I recover orders of magnitude faster from heavy lifting workouts than I did 25 yrs ago.
Sorry for the indiscretion, i am just curious are you on some sort of TRT or fully natural?
When I was strict carnivore, I would constantly get compliments in the gym about how I was getting consistently bigger and leaner. This was despite the fact that my weight was decreasing. I became a little uncomfortable with the low number on the scale even though I looked incredible so I started adding in fruit and honey. I won't lie ... for a while it felt good mentally, but tbh the vast majority of the weight I put on wasn't really the kind of weight I wanted, and I didn't look nearly as good. The compliments stopped as well.
I’ve experienced the exact same thing. It’s always best pure carnivore in terms of sheer results
15 hours a week? What a profound waste of time.
@@c.j.howard2857why do you say that?
@@c.j.howard2857 whatever 😎

Story time:
Years ago when I was at the University I was following the carb loading cycle and doing the rigorous workout throughout my 4 year course.
Great story. Thanks for sharing..
@@lolliisabusdriver.4447 I'm glad you liked it.
-jason
I did notice that I didn’t get sore as easily and I recovered a lot faster than normal.
I recently started my channel after carnivore transformed my world view in five days. Now i wish to show my loved ones and others they don't need to suffer. Wanted to say thank you Dr Chaffee for inspiring me and giving me the courage to do this.❤
Excellent breakdown, Dr. Chaffee! Carnivore lifestyle will reignite vigor!!! 💯🔥🥩
I agree 👍

Yes the bodybuilder were heavy meat eaters back in the day, but I believe arnold had 3 heart ❤️ valve replacement, vince died of heart issues..

I know it's supposed to have acid of some kind but I was having some in a drink so I didn't crave any acid.

i did notice being way less sore and when I am it only lasts a day or two compared to before when i would get sore for almost a week.
1. Isn’t sugar the best source of “quick energy” performance wise at the gym?
2. Doesn’t cutting out carbs completely make you look way more flat? So from a purely appearance POV it’s suboptimal?
The fats in the meat are way healthier and better for you your body will go into keto

Carnivore FTW!
Makes sense to me, I used to never eat an animal gram of protein per/lb of desired body weight, once I did, my muscles swole just doing that.

Last summer I started noticing the distended abdomen out of nowhere. I’ve had endoscopy, biopsy, sibo test, food study, bloodwork. All normal. Tried carnivore for a few weeks but didn’t feel any relief. Have you ever heard of something like this?
Carnivore benefits takes more than a few weeks to manifest - you need a 90-day trial and then see how you feel.
I’m getting ready to a ruck event. Wondering the best timing for my carnivore pre meal?
Is carnivore safe for someone with pancreatitis and had gallbladder removed?
Should we take creatine while on carnivore or is it not needed due to the content found in beef?
Excellent question!! I HOPE the doc addresses this! I'm 62 and going through this situation currently...Loss of fat in "those areas." 😂
@@homesteadgmad8223 It's just not nice of Carnivore lol
You really need to consider sending him a super chat with the question you want answered so that he is way more likely to see it. You can do that on his live videos. Go to his profile and look for any “upcoming“ videos and put the super chat question there
It’s basically a small donation if you don’t already know
@@homesteadgmad8223mature people need to make a choice - your face or your a$$. If you keep a little weight on, your face and neck will look a little more filled out, if you're trying to hit the weight you were at 21, it's gonna hang wayyy different now, and the face will bear the brunt of that decision.
I'm 59 and deciding which one I want for myself 😂
Certain people want us to be weak, thus the “green” agenda. They just cut off water to 6000 farms in Idaho!!!

Is it possible to do long, endurance exercise (running, cycling, triathlon) on a carnivore diet?
Ground beef. Drain or not? Just trying to figure out macros because I want to. Are the nutritional facts (amount of fats per 100g etc) using all the fats after cooking ground beef or not. Just curious because I’m new to Carnivore and trying to figure a plan without eating ribeyes which are a 50/50 days/protein which make it easy to figure out. But it’s $29/lb in Canada for ribeye. Thanks
Day 4 and day 3 was hell. I’m looking forward to the possibility of getting off TRT.
29 bux a lb in canada. NO THANKS. thats CRAZY high.
I have heard so many
different things from
people
20-30 min a day of resistance training is good for most. BUT the diet is the key to all training. The carnivore diet will supercharge whatever you do and you’ll make unimaginable gains. Good luck!
What if you don’t have a gallbladder?? Do you take enzymes to break the meat down ?
Good luck!
Do you recommend DHEA for most guys, 40yr+? I was considering 25mg 3x per week.
At 5% bf one has about 25k calories of fat.
So, basically do everything you would normally do when not on carnivore.
Hi Doc, love your info. What position did you play in Rugby ?
I want to try this but a couple of people told me I could get kidney stones since I have a history of them.Do you have any info or studies that say it's OK to do this??????
