If you are going to serve food that has been opened it is imperative that your entire family is extremely clean when eating from it beforehand (no hands in the bag). I like opening up fresh packages when guests come so they know it is clean - even though I am extremely careful during food prep. Just a thought! ❤️

Love it, even though I knew what goes where, this will be a fun tip to share with my granddaughter when she is old enough to have little parties with. One of my favorite decor ideas that I use over and over are some veggie cans that I spray painted gold and copper. I just fill them up with whatever flowers or plants I can find on the farm and it makes a pretty centerpiece and I always get compliments on them....plus it was free! Sometimes I add ribbon or burlap around the cans and sometimes they are left plain (painted)

For the 4th I pulled out food that was already in my freezer and slapped that on the grill. I had other people bring soda chips and deserts. I used dishes and colored plastic cups I had already from the dollar tree ( didn't wanna spend the money on paper plates and stuff, but doing dish after did kick my butt!). I took some old cloth packed away that I hemmed and stemmed to get the wrinkles out and threw it on the table. I think the only thing I bought was some plastic red, white and blue confetti that I sprinkled on the tables for decor and sparkle. And I used my hand vac to suck that up after and re-bagged it for another time!

And also inportant; tell it when you are aspected to eat at a party. With us in the Netherlands it is not standard that you get dinner on a birthday. We were once invited for drinks and snacks, that's how it was written on the invitation. So I assumed that we would have dinner at home afterwards. When we got there there were no snacks but there was a lot of dinner at the end of the party. So we thought that was probably for the family that was there too, and we were not invited to dinner, out of politeness we went home where the food was ready. The hostess was very insulted that we did not keep eating, but I also said that we would let you know that we were expecting to eat. Then we would have known that and taken that into account.

We teach the kids that the fork is dragon and is on the left. The knife is a knight and has to protect the princess (the spoon) from the dragon. So they are on the right side and the knife is always between the spoon and fork.

Aqsa Zeeshan I’m guessing you are Pakistani or Indian : yes I understand . For our type of food it seems impossible to feed everyone for $100 . Because I can just imagine how my friends or family will react if I served pretzels or chips lol but it can be possible .
I threw my daughter a birthday party with all desi dishes for 30 people and my budget was strictly $150. I made only 4 items , biryani , pasta , palak paneer and Russian salad and naan . . I made enough so people could take it home too

We're planning a birthday party for my mom's 66th birthday on January 25, 2023. My brother and his wife were like maybe this, maybe that. I was like how about a potluck party. I'll take care of the pizza. lol. People were saying a carne asada, but I can only imagine the party organizers (cooking and attending guests), not actually sitting down and enjoying the party. I said maybe a potluck, something simple, where we invite everyone. And the day before or after, just her kids and in laws, and grandkids at a restaurant. I think it's fair game!

Jordan, im getting more and more upset with myself that I didn't splurge on the budget bootcamp while it was on sale as time goes on, it would have been a perfect gift for my husband. . . Your videos have changed our lives, especially my husband's. I have a LOT of medical issues, (fibromaylgia, endometriosis growing expterapelvic, ME, chronic migrainestrigeminal neurlagia. Etc. ) I'm always, having surgeries!! We live on disbailty and my husband is a local handyman / small town handy man and is always busy but doesn't charge big corporate prices. Your budgeting has helped us both, but your J.O.B. principal has changed my husband's life. It has lifted a weight off if his shoulders and he has been more productive, less stressed, his cranky anxeity is GONE. Even though I always take care of bills (so many medical) and budget, the chores and errands and dinner most often falls on my husband. Cook once and freeze has saved us. We don't have kids but freezing lunch item have helped us so much for my hubby who has always brown bagged it. Thank you thank you!!!
