One of the biggest challenges of visiting every country in the world is GETTING VISAS.
Yes, even as a U.S. passport holder (one of the strongest in the world), I'm still spening countless hours, days, weeks, and months of my life figuring out how to get approval to visit dozens of countries.
In today's video, find out which are the 5 hardest visas I've had to get around the world (watch until the end to find out which one cost me $3,000 USD!!!)
Which visas have you found to be the hardest to get? Every passport has different requirements for every country (and they often change), so I'd love to hear some of your struggles!

As a Nepali citizen, the most difficult and expensive visa was to the Netherlands. I needed visa to defend my PhD after four years of working at a Dutch university. I was in Mexico, my options were either to go to Delhi or US (I had valid US residency). Took me three weeks and more than 2500 Euros with all the flights and expenses (I crashed with family in the US). My application was 70 pages long and it was a rather stressful and humiliating process. Never again. Luckily, the PhD project paid for this, which I am thankful for. If a Dutch person wants to come to Nepal, they get visa on arrival for less than 50 Euros. Let’s talk inequalities!

Even though I was living in Russia I had to go to Moscow 5 times ( it was 500+ km from where I live ) because they were asking for an invitation letter with the foreign minister’s approval stamp. I had to contact a travel agent and convinced him to go to the foreign ministry by himself to get the stamp on the invitation letter. The first time we didn’t know, the second time it was closed third time approved but without the seal etc. so I had to travel frequently from Moscow to Kursk to get updates because they never answered my phone calls nor emails. @@vishaln9419 Sorry, but I have to disagree with what you said. It is absolutely not easy to become a US citizen if you are from a developed country. I'm from the UK and it took many years for me and was difficult every step of the way. Also, the steps I had to take were exactly the same as for someone from any other country in the world. The US citizenship rules are such that it makes no difference whether you are from the UK or anywhere else. You either qualify or you don't and your previous citizenship is irrelevant. I think you were confusing getting citizenship with getting a tourist visa; in that case, it's much easier if you are from a developed country.

Libya used to be one of the have one of the most touristically visited countries in the Arab countries. America, NATO, and Hillary Clinton tried to ruin it because it was beautiful when Gaddafi was the leader. Back then, people used to always come to Libya to work just like they do in Dubai and Kuwait nowadays and they used to make the highest salaries that you can earn in all of the world. The country has very well persevered Roman ruins like Lebda (Leptis Magna),etc... Along with beautiful beaches and water all around the country, with the Sahara Desert, etc... Just search Libya before America invasion and all these things I said up.

Personal funny story about Iranian visa (German PP): I was with my gf on holidays in Cyprus and decided spontaneously to continue to Iran for one more week. So I was flying to Tehran and realized arriving at the airport as the only one tourist, that it might not have been the smartest idea. A guy from the same plane saw my confusion and asked me what's up. Told him I got no visa and no clue how to enter the country right now. He grabbed me by my arm and pulled me to the next counter. "Sign this, make a picture here, pay over there". And boom: 30 minutes later I had this amazing visa in my PP. Best week ever! Delicious food! Kindest people!
