I don't soak mine when I smoke it. I take silt off leave husk, wrap it with 1 or 2 pieces of bacon, return husk and tie. Smoke 1 hour, don't need butter, salt or pepper to taste.

that was a good vid would have been better with the time it took to cook and temp used.

Nice, but why not put it back on the grill after husking for a minute or so to burn off the remaining hairs?
