      This rider has a lot more on the table. He is being conservative by looking at his lines. Only on occasion does he touch 9/10’s but looks like most the time he is going 7-8/10 his limit. Pushing it but still leaving him self a cushion for error. Much like how I used to drive.

    This dude rides on Angeles Forest Highway quite a bit. I have been riding that same road often for 20 years. He has passed me a few times on his R1 and me on my 2011 CBR 1000. He is committed and very fast. He rides pretty safe for how fast he goes. When I have seen him it is usually early in the morning or off traffic times. I know every turn on AFH and Big Tujunga Canyon. I have went so far as timing him from point A to Point B on his video's then going up and time myself on the same section. I used to think I was fast until I ran into this dude. I have convinced myself that I can now think I am fast for a 60 year old dude.

I ride a 650, I’m over 50, and have kids that may need my help to go to college so I was a long way from blasting, but it made me nervous. This guy may have made a couple passes to check his ‘track’ but with the general public out there, you never know what’s around the next corner. It’s all good til it ain’t. I’m sure that’s fun and satisfying, but knowing ima make back to the house today is more in-line with my priorities. Makes great viewer counts, tho. Thanks, Yammie, for profiling this.

      Don't need blockers, 99% of the traffic on Angeles Forest Highway is commuters. In the morning all traffic is from Palmdale to L.A and the reverse in the afternoon. AFH is 25 miles long and if you ride off hours it is not uncommon to see only a few cars in either direction. After 3.00 PM its the Angeles Forest 500 with the people going home to Palmdale. Big Tujunga Canyon to AFH is the best route its 10 miles to the stop sign at AFH. I have ridden many times with out seeing any vehicle in either direction, they just repaved it last july, hell ya. At the mid point of AFH is Upper Big Tujunga Canyon, AKA ( 9 mile ) Its 9 miles to Angeles Crest Highway. More motorcycles use this than cars, Its way fast. You can ride it up and back 3 or 4 times and see no cars or bikes. There are lots of video's on TH-cam, just enter any road I named and dozens or hundreds will pop up.

    I am currently shopping for an R3 or baby Ninja because it is getting increasingly difficult for me to stay at my 70-80% threshold for street riding on my Ducati. I had an '87 GPZ 400 RR a couple of years ago and would take it out when I felt the need to push hard because it topped out at 200 KMH or so. It's fun and satisfying to make a slow bike go fast as opposed to riding a fast bike slow. I'll reserve the 90 -95% blasts on the Ducati to the track.

    Spot on. Most canyon guys are not fast at all. Also you’ll see he’s using a very basic level video with no stabilization or wide angle which actually makes you look faster and this guy looks fast with simple videography. Easily A group rider. He lives in my area and he’s very fast riding up and down ACH and bouquet canyon. I do wish he’d go to the track and put down some hard times.

    • @cannonball4355
      @cannonball4355 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @esorealtyinc
      @esorealtyinc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve ridden these canyons for over a decade. They’re not sharp but they’re still over “100mph “ corners here and there. If you go by the speedometer you’ll miss the point. What racer has a speedometer in any level of amateur or pro racing level. It’s the depth perception and apex points and how they come into video not the landscape rushing that shows the skill. He’s hitting apexes as if on track which takes no fear ( and no consideration for himself or others).

    • @Chrisnuzzo76
      @Chrisnuzzo76 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's got a more recent video, and in a few he does timed runs and ran the canyon at an average of 99 mph. Crazy thing is, I don't think he does this stuff for money. He's had this same 06 R1 for like 7 years of videos, and it's now held together with actual glue and tape. In the newer videos you can plainly see his windscreen is held on with some kind of epoxy.

    i drive this road everyday its highway 18 from san bernardino to crestline. ive personally seen 2 riders bodies scooped up, in fact one was on that second turn in the video, and heard of countless others. its super dangerous because rocks seem to fall onto the road with zero wind and most corners are blind with these new center guard rails. its a beautiful ride , you gain like 5k ft of altitude in like 15 minutes but lots and i mean LOTS of riders die on this highway, be safe on it this road and try not to go over like 60 on these corners, lots of surprises waiting for you especially any season outside of summer. once the santa annas are blowing you HAVE to cruise there is no going fast on a bike.

    He's one patch of sand away from breaking his body up really bad. On a track, he'll have a chance of just getting up and brushing off his suit and walking away. On the street, he runs a guardrail post between his legs at eighty and it's really bad. Really really bad. I agree with Yammy. This is great riding but it deserves to live on a track, not the street. This far more dangerous than lane splitting at high speed on the interstate. This is instant bad karma when it arrives and it will arrive. Get yourself a track runoff where you get to laugh about it.
