The mystery of the Godhead seems to be confusing to a lot of people. Many get the idea that God is one in three persons, but this is not true at all. He is one deity, and His titles should not be confused as three separate persons.
Here are 60 questions with answers regarding the Godhead. Scripture is included.
      1. Is the word trinity in the Bible? No.
      2. Does the Bible say that there are three persons in the Godhead? No.
      3. Does the Bible speak of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? Yes.
      4. Do these titles as used in Matthew 28:19 mean that there are three separate and distinct persons in the Godhead?
No, they refer to three offices, roles, or relationship to humanity.
      5. Does the Bible use the word three in reference to God?
Only one verse in the entire Bible does so- 1 John 5:7. It speaks of the Father, the Word (instead of Son), and the Holy Ghost, and it concludes by saying, “These three are one.”
      6. Does the Bible use the word one in reference to God?
      Yes, many times. For example,, see Zachariah 14:19; Malachi 2:10; Matthew 23:9; Mark 12:29, 32; John 8:41; 10:30; Romans 3:30; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; one Timothy 2:5; James 2:19
      7. Can the mystery of the Godhead be understood? Yes. Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16.
      8. Has the Christian only one Heavenly Father? Yes. Matthew 23:9
      9. Then why did Jesus say to Philip, “He that have seen me have seen the Farher” (John 14:9)?
Because Jesus is the express image of God‘s person. Hebrews 1:3. The Greek word for person in this verse literally means “substance.”
      10. Does the Bible say that there are two persons in the Godhead? No.
      11. Does the Bible say that the Godhead is revealed in one person?
      Yes, in Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:19; 2:9; Hebrews 1:3.
      12. Is the mystery of the deity hidden from some people?
      Yes. Luke 10:21-22
      13. Who is the Father?
The Father is the one God, particularly as revealed in parental relationship to humanity. Deuteronomy 32:6; Malachi 2:10.
      14. Where was God the Father while Jesus was on the earth?
The Father was in Christ. John 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:19. He was also in heaven, for God is omnipresent.
      15. Did the prophet Isaiah say that Jesus would be the Father?
      Yes, Isaiah 9:6; 63:16.
      16. When God said, “Let us make man in our image” (Genesis 1:26), was He speaking to another person in the Godhead?
      No. Isaiah 44:23 Malachi 2:10
      17. How many of God‘s qualities were in Christ? All. Colossians 2:9
      18. How may we see the God who sent Jesus into the world?
By seeing Jesus. John 12:44-45; 14:9.
      19. Does the Bible say that Jesus is the Almighty?
      Yes. Revelation 1:8.
      20. Whom do some designate as the first person in the trinity?
      God the Father.
      21. Whom do some designate as the last person in the trinity?
The Holy Ghost. But Jesus said that HE was the first and the last. Revelation 1:17-18
      22. How many persons did John see sitting on the throne of heaven?
      One. Revelation 4:2.
      23. If Jesus is the first and the last, why did God say in Isaiah 44:6 that HE was the first and the last?
Because Jesus is the God of the Old Testament incarnate.
      24. Did Jesus tell Satan that God alone should be worshiped? Yes. Matthew 4:10.
      25. Does the devil believe in more than one God? No. James 2:19.
      26. Does the Bible say that God, who is the Word, was made flesh? Yes. John 1:1, 14.
      27. For what purpose was God manifested in the flesh?

      28. Was Jesus God manifested in the flesh?
      Yes, 1 Timothy 3:16.
      29. Could Jesus have been on earth and in heaven at the same time? Yes, John 3:13.
      30. Does the Bible say that there is but one Lord? Yes. Isaiah 45:18; Ephesians 4:5.
      31. Does the Bible say that Christ is the Lord? Yes. Luke 2:11
      32. Does the Bible say that the Lord is God? Yes. 1 Kings 18:39; Zachariah 14:5; Acts 2:39; Revelation 19:1.
      33. How could the church belong to Jesus (Matthew 16:18) and yet be the church of God (1 Corinthians 10:32)?
Because Jesus is God in the flesh.
      34. Will God give His glory to another?
      No, Isaiah 42:8
      35. Was there a God formed before Jehovah, or will there be one formed after? No. Isaiah 43:10.
      36. What is one thing that God doesn’t know? Another God. Isaiah 44:8
      37. What is one thing God cannot do? Lie. Titus 1:2.
      38. How many Gods should we know?
      Only one. Hosea 13:4.
      39. How many names has the Lord?
      One. Zachariah 14:9
      40. Is it good to think upon the name of the Lord? Yes. Malachi 3:16
      41. Does the Bible say that God alone treads upon the waves of the sea? Yes. Job 9:8.
      42. Why then, was Jesus able to walk upon the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 14:25)?
Because He is God the Creator. Colossians 1:16.
      43. Is God is the only one who can forgive sin? Yes. Isaiah 43:25; Mark 2:7
      44. Why, then, could Jesus forgive sin in Mark 2:5-11? Because He is God the Saviour.
      45. Is Jesus the true God? Yes. 1 John 5:20.
      46. If God and the Holy Ghost are two separate persons, which was the Father of Christ?
Matthew 1:20 says that the Holy Ghost was the Father, while Romans 15:6, 2 Corinthians 11:31, and Ephesians 1:3 say that God was the Father. There is no contradiction when we realize that God the Father and the Holy Ghost are one in the same Spirit. (Matthew 10:20; Ephesians 4:1; 1 Corinthians 3:16.)
      47. When Paul asked the Lord who He was, what was the answer?
      “I am Jesus.” Acts 9:5.
      48. While Stephen was dying, did he called God Jesus? Yes. Acts 7:59
      49. Did Thomas ever call Jesus God? Yes. John 20:28
      50. How could Jesus be the Savior, when God the Father said in Isaiah 43:11, “Beside me there is no saviour”?
Because “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself” 2 Corinthians 5:19.
      51. Does the Bible say that Jesus was God with us? Yes. Matthew 1:23
      52. Did Jesus ever say, “I and my Father are one”? Yes. John 10:30.
      53. Can it be provided scripturally that Jesus and the Father are one in the same sense that husband and wife are one?
No. The Godhead was never compared to the relationship of a husband and wife. Jesus identified Himself with the Father in a way that husband and wife cannot be identified with each other. John 14:9-11
      54. Does the Bible say that there is only one wise God? Yes. Jude 25.
      55. Does the Bible call the Holy Ghost a second or third person in the Godhead?
No. The Holy Ghost is the one Spirit of God, The one God himself at work in our lives. John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 6:19; 12:13.
      56. Can trinitarians show that three divine persons were present when Jesus was baptized by John?
Absolutely not. The one, omnipresent God used three simultaneous manifestations. Only one divine person was present-Jesus Christ the Lord.
      57. Then what were the other two of whom trinitarians speak?
One was a voice from heaven; the other was the Spirit of God in the form of a dove. Matthew 3:16-17
      58. What did the voice say at Jesus‘ baptism?
”Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” Mark 1:11. As the Son of God, Jesus was the one God incarnate.
      59. Does the Bible say that God shed His blood and that God laid down His life for us?
Yes. Acts 20:28; 1 John 3:16. God was able to do this because He had taken upon Himself a human body.
      60. The Bible says that God is coming back with all His saints (Zachariah 14:5) and also that Jesus is coming back with all His saints (1 Thessalonians 3:13). Are two coming back?
No. Only one is coming back-our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13.

“But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn, the head of a woman is the man; in turn, the head of the Christ is God.” 1 Corinthians 11:3
      PLEASE ASK HIM HOW TO RECONCILE WHY IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE CREATOR GOD THAT HE SAYS IS A TRINITY TO HAVE TO HAVE BROTHERS: “For both the one who is sanctifying and those who are being sanctified all stem from one, and for this reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers,” Hebrews 2:11;
BECAUSE WE ARE CLEARLY TOLD THAT THEY “ALL STEM FROM ONE” NOT 3 AND: “Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’” John 20:17; “We know that God makes all his works cooperate together for the good of those who love God, those who are the ones called according to his purpose; 29 because those whom he gave his first recognition he also foreordained to be patterned after the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” Romans 8:28,29
ALSO SINCE JESUS IS THE HIGH PRIEST UPON HIS RETURN TO HEAVEN AND THOSE OF HIS DISCIPLES WHO WILL JOIN HIM IN HEAVEN WILL BECOME PRIESTS AS WELL: “And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.” Revelation 5:9,10
ALSO UPON JESUS COMPLETION OF HIS ASSIGNMENT WE ARE TOLD: “Next, the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 27 For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.” 1 Corinthians 15:24,27,28
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR GOD TO BE 3-N-1 WHERE THERE IS NO SUCH TEACHING OF THIS IN THE BIBLE: “Certainly not! But let God be found true, even if every man be found a liar, just as it is written: “That you might be proved righteous in your words and might win when you are being judged.” Romans 3:4

To save sinners. Hebrews 2:9, 14.

When you start researching its origin and then learn that it came about almost 300 years after Jesus was on earth it really starts to open your eyes. Our message in church last week had a lot of this, and the linguistic and mental gymnastics required to say Jesus was God, but he gave up his divinity and then prayed to God, but don’t forget he was still fully God while on earth…just gets insane to listen to once your heart is opened to it.

That being said, you are lucky that I may be a little autistic, so that I am actually willing to read through that long text and even answer it.
It seems to me you make some errors.
1st You already, in your third sentence misrepresent the Trinity by saying "its 3 SEPARATE persons". We dont believe in 3 separate persons. It is very apparent that you have not understood the concept of the Trinity.
      __________
      2nd
Here are some points where I will directly push back against your Qs.
      Regarding Q1, 2, 10,
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Just because the word or the exact formulation is not found in the Bible does not mean we must not believe in it. But since you are using this tactic, I will use it too and haunt you with it.
      Q7
You often talk about the Godhead, but where in the Bible do we find the word "Godhead"? Thats your standard, right?
      Q12
      Maybe including you?
      Q15
Did Isaiah say the name Jesus or Yeshua or similar?
That being said, he gave the "son born onto us" many titles.
      Q16
Isaiah 44:23 has nothing to do with that question.
Malachi 2:10 say we are created by One God. It does not say anything about any Person.
      Q18
So God looks like a 1st century Jew?
      Q20, 21
"The First and the Last" is a title.
To combine that with an argument made about the Trinity is a red-herring.
      Q22
Rev 4:2 "At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it."
You just inserted the word "person" to suit your question. I could turn it around and ask how many manifestations did John see on the throne?
      Q25
Neither do we. We Trinitarians also only believe in One God. Not many gods.
      Q26
John 1:1 "In the Beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God".
It not only says God was the word, it also says the Word was with God.
Why do you think we Trinitarians cite this whole verse as evidence supporting the Trinity?
      Q39
Actually He has many names. But He also has many titles.
But He has one particular name, which definitely differentiates him from all other gods.
BTW Modern day Rabbis will explain that verse differently meaning not Jesus at all...
      Q46
It seems to me you take the descriptions "the Father", "the Son" and "the Holy Spirit" a bit too literal. The descriptions Father and Son have a biological meaning, which we are not talking about. They also have a theological meaning, which you have mentioned in Q13 in regards to the Father.
      Q52
When I read John 10:27-30 I read it as saying the Son and the Father are equivalent. And why are they equivalent? Because they are one God.
      Q55
Straw-man question. You are acting like Muslims who challenge us and say: Where in the Bible does Jesus unequivocally say "I am God, worship me"?. They they expect us to show them a verse where Jesus says exactly those words, preferably in English even...
      Q56
Can you show me the word "manifestation" of said Bible passage?
In fact show me where the Bible uses the word "manifestation" in regards to God, thanks.
      __________
      3rd
We Trinitarians occasionally use the term manifestation to explain to people the Trinity instead of the term person. In your attempt to separate the one from the other, you have failed to disprove the Trinity.
In fact, those Qs I didnt push back against, I fully agree with, because they support our claim regarding the Trinity.
      4th
In modern day we say "3 persons 1 God" but Tertullian formulated it a bit differently. 3 Hypostasis 1 Ousia.
Though "Osia" is today understood as "nature" or "essence".
"Hypostasis" is not exactly the same as "separate/individual person".

@@skeemo5782 Trinity by definition is the unity of 3 persons as one being. Only God has the divine essence, and there is only 1 God.
Comparing human essence and divine essence is completely different, since unlike the divine essence, human does have plenty of limitations, so trying equate the essence of us as multiple humans and trying to equate that to Trinity as 'multiple gods' can't work. We don't have Tri-omni or holiness, and plenty other attributes only God possesses.
Whenever I pray, and I am pretty sure any Christian knows this if they are reading, we don't individually pray to Jesus for one thing, Father for another, Holy Spirit for another as if what our requests and petitions and praises are designated only for that person. Every person or title is interchangeably used, Father, God, Lord, Jesus, Spirit, Shephard, Comforter, Helper, Protector, etc.

@@skeemo5782 I'm saying that's a false dichotomy because your using the term for essence as if it's the same with humans or angels or animals. They all have limitations that God does not possess. When your trying to equate multiple animals, or multiple angels or multiple humans and trying to count that as one essence in the same respect that Trinity states how the 3 persons are 1 essence, that changes the whole meaning, since they are not 1, they (animals, angels, humans) are separate persons as well as separate essences.
Take for instance the Holy Spirit, when we say that someone is filled by the Holy Spirit, it doesn't mean that God all of a sudden ceases to exist omnipresent and now is solely existing within or around the someone.
I'm saying Prayer is relevant, because whenever people are equating Trinity with Tritheism, it'd have to presuppose that we worship 3 different deities, which no Christian ever does, what Deuteronomy 6:4 states, always remains.

@@skeemo5782 Essence is what the subject consists of that makes the subject who or what it is. There are many attributes you can ascribe to it, like Tri-omni, holiness, transcendence, all loving, all just, etc.
With the origin that the belief is of 1 God, there can't be more than one, if there is an essence that only can be true if a person states or or does the action by their own will, it can be concluded that that person is God.
I'm not saying animals or angels or humans have a divine essence, I'm saying, when you are trying to equate essence of God to essence of humans, it's not a proper comparison since many of the attributes ascribed to God cannot be true if ascribed to individuals and apart from that, we're talking of 1 being vs 1 race/kingdom/celestials. Equating the current 7+ billion people as the essence 'Human' or the trillions of maritime animals as the essence 'Fish' bears no weight when attempting to do the same for the essence of God, because of the many limitations in attributes that God possesses, that creation does not.
I'm saying prayer is relevant because when you mentioned how Trinity how come it's no different than 3 gods, I'm just saying that in the Christian understanding, there is not 3 different beings worshipped (polytheism), its only 1 being we believe to consist of 3 persons.

Titus 2:13.

I wish I could give this video a thousand thumbs up! The absolute best teaching I heard on the Trinity. I will definitely be sharing this one.
I always say just like there are millions of people that make up what we know as a Human Being (meaning there is only one Human Race). There are three People that makes up the one God. You just broke this down in a way I could have never thought of! Thank you sir!

"I always say just like there are millions of people that make up what we know as a Human Being (meaning there is only one Human Race)."
I like how you think, here (if I have read you aright). Here's a compact way of wording it:
As the Trinity is "God in 3 persons", mankind is "Man in n persons".*
*Where n represents some really, really, really large number--far, far, far larger, in fact, than the number of years that constitute the age of the heaven and the earth.

      25. Does the devil believe in more than one God? No. James 2:19.

      49. Did Thomas ever call Jesus God? Yes. John 20:28
      50. How could Jesus be the Savior, when God the Father said in Isaiah 43:11, “Beside me there is no saviour”?

Second if Jesus and the Heaven Father are not different people then: who does Jesus pray to, who forsake Jesus on the Cross, why doesn’t the Son know the hour of end time but on the Father?

@@TheRastacabbage I know it's been a long time since you asked, so sorry if this isn't helpful at this point, but as far as I'm aware trinitarianism is gotten from a bunch of different verses that imply it, rather than a simple statement (if there's a more direct verse, I'd like to know too). The ones I know off the top of my head are Genesis 1, John 1, John 8, and Matthew 3.
In Genesis 1, God refers to Himself as a plural, but then the narration refers to Him in the singular in the same context. So either God is using the royal we (which may or may not have existed in ancient Hebrew, idk), or He is saying that there is multiple within Himself.
John 1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." As you go through the passage, it's pretty obvious that John is using "the Word" to refer to Jesus. So John is claiming that Jesus is God, but also twice that He was with God at the beginning, which is really weird if God is purely singular.
John 8:12-20 is a discussion where Jesus says that He is sufficient as His own witness and that the Father is with Him, so He actually has two witnesses.
Matthew 3:16-17 says, "As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”" So there's three actors at play in this scene: Jesus who has come to Earth as a human, the Spirit of God who comes down from Heaven, and the Father who is speaking from Heaven. They are all doing stuff independently at the same time.
I know there's more, especially on the Holy Spirit, but unfortunately that's what I have right now. Hope this helps a bit, and if not, have a nice day!

@@alongwistfulsquiggle8440 John 17:20 - 23. Christ prays for multiple beings (the disciples) to be one, the same as he & the father are one. It's about unity.
Genesis 2:24. 2 seperate beings are supposed to be one. It's about unity.
The trinity can only be implied and only if that's the premise you believe, if that's the position you start with. You can't reach a trinity from what scripture actually teaches about multiple, incomprehensibly unified, seperate beings

@@TheRastacabbage Isaiah 9:6 straightforward is the opposite of trinity definition plain and simple. Isaiah 9:6 states that the son(messiah)'s name is Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The eternal Father is a name for the Son. I don't know how someone can read and comprehend this verse and think trinity doctrine is plausible.

Whether intentional or not, I love the parallel between the term “Red Pen Logic” and red letter bibles-it hints to the source of the logic!

“But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn, the head of a woman is the man; in turn, the head of the Christ is God.” 1 Corinthians 11:3
      PLEASE ASK HIM HOW TO RECONCILE WHY IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE CREATOR GOD THAT HE SAYS IS A TRINITY TO HAVE TO HAVE BROTHERS: “For both the one who is sanctifying and those who are being sanctified all stem from one, and for this reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers,” Hebrews 2:11;

      9. Then why did Jesus say to Philip, “He that have seen me have seen the Farher” (John 14:9)?

      10. Does the Bible say that there are two persons in the Godhead? No.
      11. Does the Bible say that the Godhead is revealed in one person?
      Yes, in Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:19; 2:9; Hebrews 1:3.

      God the Father.

The Holy Ghost. But Jesus said that HE was the first and the last. Revelation 1:17-18
      22. How many persons did John see sitting on the throne of heaven?
      One. Revelation 4:2.

After that, if you still disagree with them and try to point out their errors in logic, then they say that you aren't "sincere" in wanting to learn from them.....SMH.

If that were the case then we would not be expected to know him like Christ said. There is a immanent part that is known the transcendent part would not be spoken of at all. In other words God does not reveal to us what cannot be understood. Do you understand?

The way I've often explained the trinity to myself is that it's three persons occupying the same position, or something similar; it's kind of like multiple people heading a company, like a board of executives or Chief Officers like a CEO, a CFO and a Chairman, each one is their own person and in their own position but they're still a part of the intelligence centre guiding the organisation. It's probably not exact, but it helps me understand it a little better.

You know, this reminds me of a friend I had with multiple personality disorder.
I asked her once if she considered the alters in her mind to be real people, and she said yes.
This discussion kinda reminds me of her because she considered the other personalities in her mind to be distinct people from herself, and she could also have conversations with them in her mind as well as out of it.
It's certainly a complicated concept to grasp, but I think that in a way, she kinda helps me understand this concept.
Her, and a book called Flatland, which I recommend you look up, or at least watch a video on explaining it, because I think it could also explain, maybe even unwittingly, how God may work.

Thanks! As the bible say, the mystery of godliness is great (1Tim3:16). For me it became much clearer when I searched and asked God to help me understand what is a spirit vs soul? God gives us a new Spirit freely, but how do I let that change me? My soul gets in the way (my own will, emotion, reasoning). The Spirit is who I am when I follow Truth. The body without the new spirit (flesh, living soul) follows its own will and is dead spiritually. What we do (righteously) is a product of our relationship with Truth. Truth and Will have to work together so that the Will can become Holy too! It’s a marriage, both are important. Best to ask God directly for more specifics, we have to continue doing the right thing to learn what is the divine Will that aught to possess us! Grace and peace!

      46. If God and the Holy Ghost are two separate persons, which was the Father of Christ?
Matthew 1:20 says that the Holy Ghost was the Father, while Romans 15:6, 2 Corinthians 11:31, and Ephesians 1:3 say that God was the Father. 47. When Paul asked the Lord who He was, what was the answer?

      54. Does the Bible say that there is only one wise God? Yes. Jude 25.

Titus 2:13.

I love this understanding, I also, have an argument for why Jesus prays, serves, obeys, worships, and is even dependent on the Father, it is because... He is the Son, He is the only Son of the Father, to me it makes perfect sense, for the Son to worship the Father, because He is the SON of the FATHER and yet the Son is still God, being begotten of God, He is God just how we are humans and sons of humans and animals are sons of animals, Christ still maintains His nature of being God, as though Christ is the Father to all creation, yet the Son to the Father

the word "omnipotent" is not in the bible, nor are infallible, omniscient, or dozens of other words we use to describe theological ideas.
yes, scripture does teach the trinity, or at minimum macidoinism, because it teaches there is only one true god, that the father is the true god, that Jesus is the true god, and that Jesus is not the father. scripture absolutely teaches all four of those things. the trinity is merely a theological explanation for how all four of them can be true.
"No, they refer to three offices, roles, or relationship to humanity."
      baseless assertion.
your modelist interpretation makes no sense when we actually read the scriptures. not only does christ pray to the father, speak to the father, and submit to the father, he presents the sacrifice of his life to the father, and he cries out in pain to the father on the cross. because he had a human body undergoing painful torture, it makes sense that he would cry out to another person, but why would he cry out to himself in another roll? that is logically incoherent.

In the book of Acts, Paul talks about how God used His own blood to purchase our souls. That can only mean that Jesus Himself is God. God did not have a body in order to use His own blood, therefore He had to take up the body of a man in order to do so. The spirit that was inside of Jesus happened to be the Holy Spirit, which IS the Spirit of God, our Father.
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
In John 20:28 right after Jesus revealed Himself to Thomas, Thomas said, “My Lord, and My God!”
If Jesus were not God, then it would not clearly state so in the Bible.
The idea of the trinity was developed by one verse in the entire bible:
Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
This was simply Jesus telling His apostles how to baptize people into the Kingdom of God. The word “name” is singular. There can only be one name for these three: Jesus. If you read the book of acts, you will notice all of the apostles baptized in the name of Jesus.
Acts 2:38 is one of the many examples. “Repent and be baptized, every one of you ... in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.”
Do you follow what I’m explaining?
The devil terribly wants to keep us from our Savior; this is why there are so many different doctrines and religions. There is only one true doctrine and that is the doctrine of the apostles of Jesus Christ.

Strawmanning is misrepresenting a view in order to make it easier to attack, often resulting in attacking a view that nobody holds.
Strawmanning can occur intentionally or unintentionally - this meme seems to be the latter, as a result of ignorance.
I've seen (and participated) in fun discussions about fictional stories. What-ifs, trying to explain motives, etc. I know many atheists do this, as well.
If you have that much passion for fiction and things you enjoy, but you're planning to attack an actual worldview billions of people hold without performing even 5 minutes of research...?
You may get some red penmarks on your tweet, it seems.
It's important to know what people think.
(John Lennox's talk "The Loud Absence - Where is God in Suffering", easy to find here on TH-cam, goes into this topic a bit, too, of learning other about worldviews and trying to establish friendships with those who do not share your worldview)
    ---
Keep up the good work, Mr. B!

If there was such a thing as a 2D being, it would never be able to comprehend what we (a 3D being) are like, how we are constructed, etc. Likewise, it’s impossible for us to talk about the nature of a being that lies outside our realm of existence.

Not all of “Christianity” believes in a “trinity”. If you believe the Bible is true you can find in the New Testament that Paul says Jesus has a God. God is a spirit. God is God alone. And God is not a man. There is this and so much more. Rather than believing in a “Holy Trinity” that’s not anywhere in the Bible, or those who support contradictory non biblical evidence like this, just go with the Bible. Can’t go wrong. And it actually makes sense.

I believe that only the Father is God. 1 Corinthians 8:6 states, “For us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” Only the Father is referred to as Almighty God in the Bible and he is identified by the name Jehovah. RPL with Mr. B, I have LOVED every other video you've done, recommended them to friends, love the format, the rationality, the clarity, the incisive sharp blade of logic applied to so many logical fallacies. But every explanation of the Trinity has me shaking my head because it's where logic falls apart for me. It doesn't make sense to me that a powerful, intelligent, mighty Creator who created an orderly, logical, rational creation (both the universe with it's calculable laws, as well as humankind) all of a sudden is Himself inherently a head-scratcher. There is no other situation in the 8+ millions species of living things on earth where a father and a son are in a strange triangular relationship like this. We all know that a father and a son are always, only, ever two different persons AND two different beings. Humans are created in the image of God, and every father/son relationship is also always two different persons and two different beings. It almost seems deceptive that God would choose the words "Father" and "Son" in the Bible....a relationship we all understand and is common all over the earth, in which it is never two persons in one being......but then it becomes totally redefined and something completely different when it applies to the Trinity.
It seems to me that the classic Genesis 1 argument of "Let Us make man in Our image" can easily be explained not as a Trinity, but simply as the Father, God, talking TO the Son (who is His image) saying "let's make man in Our image". We know in 1 Corinthians 8:6 that all things came from the Father, and all things came through the Son. So both were involved and present in the creation process, and Genesis can therefore easily be the Father talking to the Son. Two beings. A Father and a Son. But they are spiritual beings, and can thus be "one" in ways that we currently cannot because we are constrained to a physical world. If that verse said "And Mr. B said, Let us make man in our image".....our first assumption would be Mr. B is talking to someone, not that Mr. B is multiple persons in one being.
We also know that rocks are never called "beings". If you were in a forest with a friend and they pointed and said to you, "Look out, there's a being over there to your left!!"......every single person on earth would turn and look for a living being....not an inanimate object. Your videos and thought process are usually so logical I was surprised at that breakdown of logic in that part.
C.S. Lewis says this in Mere Christianity: "We don't use the words begetting or begotten much in modern English, but everyone still knows what they mean. To beget is to become the father of: to create is to make. And the difference is this. When you beget, you beget something of the same kind as yourself. A man begets human babies, a beaver begets little beavers and a bird begets eggs which turn into little birds. But when you make, you make something of a different kind from yourself. A bird makes a nest, a beaver builds a dam, a man makes a wireless set-or he may make something more like himself than a wireless set: say, a statue. If he is a clever enough carver he may make a statue which is very like a man indeed. But, of course, it is not a real man; it only looks like one. It cannot breathe or think. It is not alive. Now that is the first thing to get clear. What God begets is God; just as what man begets is man. What God creates is not God; just as what man makes is not man. That is why men are not Sons of God in the sense that Christ is. They may be like God in certain ways, but they are not things of the same kind. They are more like statues or pictures of God...The last chapter was about the difference between begetting and making. A man begets a child, but he only makes a statue. God begets Christ but He only makes men. But by saying that, I have illustrated only one point about God, namely, that what God the Father begets is God, something of the same kind as Himself. In that way it is like a human father begetting a human son. But not quite like it. So I must try to explain a little more. "
This explanation makes a lot of things jive for me. A man can have a son, and he and his son are both men, but they are never the same being. For me, a better word would be that the Son is not God, but is God-kind. He is the Son of God, and is therefore of God-kind. Just as a son of a father is of mankind, the human race. The Bible does speak of what sounds like a divine race (somewhere.....don't recall where).
Any other situation in our lives where we have one "being" but multiple persons in that being......we call a mental disorder. There are just too many broken links of logic when it comes to the Trinity that I can't get on board with. Scripture is repeatedly clear that there is One God, the Father, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I believe Jesus is absolutely of God-kind......but Jesus Himself refers to the Father as His God and Our God. Anyway.....if you get this far...thanks for reading, and keep it up (even though I don't agree on this one)!

While I completely agree with this video, I do think an explanation of biblical language is good to help people understand why the distinction of “persons” and “beings” is a clear distinction within the trinity that the Bible affirms. In the Bible “being” and “person” are synonymous with human beings, but there is a clear distinction between when God is being talked about in the plural and the singular. In plural the word for “persons” is used. In singular the word for “beings”. In used. I hope this may help you understand why one would believe the trinity. The Bible is a Christians base for logic anyways seeing as there are no other logically consistent bases to go off of.

I think it’s important to note that first and foremost, there is literally NOTHING like God. He was not created and can never be replicated. So when we’re trying to figure out His nature and how this relationship works it’s like trying to describe with words a color that we haven’t seen. I believe we can get a remote idea of this as it is with the concept of the Trinity but it won’t be until we see Him that we will really understand it.

That’s not to say I think it’s true, but that it captures the trinitarian theology nicely. Now I agree with most of what was said, but I think there’s an element missing that separates me from trinitarians. I think trinitarians are the closest to capturing the truth about this subject out of the dominant views.

    A great explanation!!
I have long understood the Trinity as the idea that Freud stumbles upon in his desire to justify himself. The id, the ego, and the super-ego all have to do with three aspects of a being’s mind that all operate as separate persons. The id is who one is at their core, the ego is how one sees themselves, and the super-ego is how others see the one. The id would be the Father, the ego would be the Son and the super-ego would be the Spirit.
For those who automatically associate ego with negativity, you should be aware that nomenclature has a role in that. Egotistical means to worship one’s self, and was shortened to “big ego” as a sort of jab against those who are too proud. Ego itself, even as Freud defined it, is not a problem.

great explanation, but here lies the question: If the trinity is the same being and 3 distinct persons, then this means one of two cases:
    1) One of them is the main source in charge and the other two are the vessels that are controlled by the source, one might assume both the holy spirit and the man share the cognition of the father. Which begs the question, why would one speak to and worship the other if they're possessed by the one god?
    2) They're not the same person with each having their own consciousness and will, making them 3 seperate gods that co-exist , not one god which is contrary to Christian belief of monotheism.

One thing that just kinda hit me one day while trying to think of a simple way to explain the trinity was the element of water. At its core water is compromised of a hydrogen and 2 oxygen atoms bonded otherwise called H2O. Water at 212 degrees Fahrenheit boils to steam and at 32 degrees Fahrenheit turns to ice, and in between is in a liquid state.
Now the fact is that no matter what state the H2O molecules are in, it doesn't change the fact that it is still water at its core! Water can be liquid and wet to the touch, refreshing and NEEDED for all LIFE! It can be Ice, solid, can be touched and held, seemingly the most physical than the other 2 forms or states. And water can be vapor, perhaps you might see it for a fleeting moment when it gets really hot, your likely at many times to be unaware that although you can not see it, can not smell it, and can not touch it doesn't change the fact that water molecules are around us all of the time, surrounds us, we breathe it in and out for air and without even the water vapor in our everyday lives we would dry up and eventually wither away to dust.
So for everyone out there, if water can be all of this and more, just think of how much more our CREATOR is, was and always will BE! The different forms HE can take on in our lives! Next time you see or think about water, think more about the one that created it! We need it for daily life as do we NEED GOD in our daily lives to survive and live!!! Without either, we eventually will perish. Thank GOD for water! Amen!
