Great video! I will be traveling to Cancun next month July 11-16, Can I fill out the FMM form now it has to be certain days before and do I choose by land?
thanks for the kind words :) glad you liked the video! I hope you have an amazing time in Cancun! I don't know those specifics, unfortunately! I would go to the CBX website and look it up. I bet you it is put there! www.crossborderxpress.com/en/faq. I just filled out everything from the airplane site and the "FMM immigration form" once I arrived. had no issues!
Where can I check-in my luggage if I cross to the Tijuana Airport through CBX? CBX offers an exclusive “drop off” area located at the Tijuana Airport available only for passengers traveling with Viva Aerobus and Volaris. We suggest you contact your airline about rates and additional baggage costs at check-in. For check-in with all other airlines, go to your airline’s counter at the general check-in area in the Tijuana Airport. source: www.crossborderxpress.com/en/faq
This was so helpful! Thank you!!! So, to clarify, once we go in and register with the desk and go through customs, we can either go into the direction of TJ airport, or we can walk another direction inside CBX to enter into Mexico, correct? Also, is CBX considered the airport at Tijuana? Or is the airport a separate thing from CBX? We are coming to visit soon, and I'm completely unfamiliar with how everything works there. Would crossing through CBX be considered an alternate route instead of just walking/driving across the border at the border crossing? Or do we still have to do that after going through CBX? Also, do they have shuttle busses to the rental car area at the airport? Thanks so much for the informative video!!

If you have a residente temporal or permanente visa, or you are flying from Canada or USA directly to Mexico (i.e. not by land), there are no restrictions. There may be restrictions for tourist land crossings. Best to Google this as rules are changing all the time.
Be sure to print out or have all your boarding passes with you. To get past the bridge gates, you will need to scan your CBX ticket and your current boarding pass. We went 2 days ago and bought the tickets on site. We purchased round trip tickets for a family of 3 which gave us a small discount. Finally, if you are an expat and have a residente permanente or temporal Mexican visa, you will still need to fill out an FMM at one of the computer terminals. If the system asks you for money, you have filled out something wrong. Be sure to fill in your Mexico address. Finally, on the top half of each form, fill in your visa status by hand. Watch out for any processing error where immigration thinks you are on a 180 day tourist visa. The immigration officer will stamp your passport and keep both halves of the FMM.
