    how do you go from San Diego airport to CBX? are the two connected?

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @hijodeadam You will go directly to cbx cross border Xpress bridge (you can type it it in when taking an Uber which is helpful) type Cross Border Xpress and this address 2745 Otay Pacific will be where you go. So the best way to get to cbx from San Diego airport is to Uber if you are trying to go to utilize cbx. Hope this helps

      I think if you live in southern Cal this may be a big cost savings but if you don’t It may not since you were at the flying to San Diego and Uber and pay for the CBX tickets etc

    That is pretty much the coolest thing about an Airport that I’ve seen, the fact that you can directly enter from the US, and you’re already in another country when you’re in the airport!! And it feels like a whole nother world once you step into an airport in a different country directly from the US, the different vehicles not sold in the US, the OXXO stores, and just the environment and atmosphere overall.

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dennisthebrony2022 i completely agree with you the CBX terminal is the best creation here in San Diego. It helps so much !! It helped us save money going directly to South America from Tijuana by utilizing cbx instead of leaving form lax or San airports. You described it perfectly and said it best!! It really is remarkable and a great experience in itself! And it’s even more organized than when it first started here which is great.

      @@marileetravelshi! Can I use CBX If i’m just planning on staying in tijuana for 4 days and then return to san diego airport through cbx?? Basically avoiding the walk through border gates at the border

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@nguleyonhi so unfortunately you do need to go through the regular border line but it’s not that bad if you have global entry !!! It will be so much faster if you have global entry it will help you through border crossing fast to Tijuana and back to San Diego because you’ll go in the global entry/sentri walking line or if you get a car as long as you and everyone in the vehicle have sentri/global entry it will be quicker too but walking is fastest with global entry. Because with cbx right after customs you end up in the Tijuana airport. CBX is only a tunnel terminal that gets you from sd to Tijuana airport utilizing it and Tijuana airport to cbx. I really am not sure that you could leave TJ airport after using cbx since you have to go through customs they may deny it since there is no actual boarding pass. I promise it will be better to walk through the border plus you will save money not buying cbx ticket to cross. I hope this helps you!!

    • @nguleyon
      @nguleyon 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@marileetravels ahh okay.. so basically to use CBX you need boarding pass to another airport. so would you recommend i just fly from houston to tijuana airport directly? and go through customs there?? i’m coming from Houston, Texas. 😃 and safe to get taxis? I’ll be female probably traveling alone

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nguleyon Yes exactly since when you get there to the sd entry side you are going through it to get to tj airport. Yes!!! 100 percent if I were you I would fly directly from houston to tijuana airport. You really only need to utilize CBX if you are trying to visit san diego while you are here. Taxis are usually safe, but when I travel by myself in mexico i personally feel a lot more comfortable and safer taking ubers/lyfts, so I would recommend that vs taxis for extra safety as a female traveling alone. Especially because you can hold uber and lyft accountable for anything you experience in your ride where as taxis you can't especially in mexico.

      thank you so much for watching and getting value from it! Since i havent stayed longer then 7 days i had to look it up since I wasn't sure and on this website: www.bajabound.com/before/permits/visa#:~:text=Requires%20a%20valid%20passport%20or,for%20up%20to%20180%20days it says its around Cost: $717.00 Pesos (appx U.S. $43) per person; FREE if the trip is 7 days or less and you cross by land

      @marileetravels  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      and i dont think you would need to pay the fee again going home, but im not 100 percent sure. its possible the city you leave from might have their own rules if staying longer then 7 days so just in case i would check that airport policy to be safe

    Any suggestions What I can do .
    I need to escort my grandma but I am not going with her I just need to make sure she gets on the plane .

    She has her passport I only have my ID

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would highly recommend utilizing there airport security to help you. Normally they will provide wheelchair services and assistance for those who need assistance in getting to their gate and on the plane. Contact someone in the customer service department with TJ airport or cbx to make sure where you should meet them and if they can meet you to help you with your grandma so she will be in good hands or how far they will allow you to go to make sure she gets to plane with their help. I hope this helps. But you might need to bring your birth certificate with your id if they do allow you in airport since you don’t have passport but please double check with them so they do provide the correct info.

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thank you so much for watching, if you dont have sentri you can get back faster with global entry at cbx, we have global entry so it helped otherwise we would have been in a longer line, if you want global entry you can get it through their website, and pay let me post link ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/ you can apply for global entry and sentri on this link if you plan to be driving to mexico a lot, if only utilizing cbx then you really only need global entry which costs- A $100Non-Refundable Application Fee
      A $100 one-time fee is required with your Global Entry application and must be paid at time of application submission through the Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) system. You can pay by credit card or through an electronic bank transfer. , i have the chase sapphire reserve credit card so they pay for my global entry as part of the perk of the credit card. hope this helps

    • @marileetravels
      @marileetravels  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it goes to the cbx terminal company to cross it to get directly to TJ airport from terminal because it’s allowing you an easier way to access TJ airport instead of crossing the border to get there

  • @B_Dallas_Michael

      Yes you do need to have a boarding pass to access CBX you’ll utilize it and your cbx pass right when you are heading to TJ airport. It’s a terminal that takes you directly into TJ airport. But if you want to just cross to TJ without going to the airport it’s better to just cross and walk through the border.

      I found this link this will be better www.sandiego.org/articles/baja-california/crossing-the-us-mexico-border.aspx
      U.S. CITIZENS AND LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENTS
      When crossing the border back and forth between Baja and San Diego, you'll need to have a valid passport or other acceptable identification handy. When entering the United States, U.S. citizens are required to show passport, U.S. passport card, Trusted Traveler Program card (NEXUS, SENTRI, Global Entry or FAST) or an Enhanced Driver's License. Resident aliens must possess a green card. Knowing which ID to bring depends upon your method of travel (air, land, or sea). Voter's registration card, military ID, driver's license and social security cards are not considered valid forms of citizenship identification. For more information on the San Diego ‒ Tijuana border crossing, visit Smart Border Coalition.
      When traveling by air between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda, you are required to present a U.S. passport, except as noted below. This applies to everyone including newborns, infants and children.
      The only exceptions to this requirement are for:
      U.S. citizens on active duty with the U.S. Armed Forces, traveling with military ID and travel orders
      U.S. citizen merchant mariners traveling in conjunction with maritime business, with U.S. issued Merchant Mariner Document
      Travelers with a NEXUS card used at a NEXUS kiosk at Canadian Preclearance airports
      U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents with a Permanent Resident Card or other evidence of permanent residence status and required documentation; refugees and asylees with a Refugee Travel Document

    Hi, I just watched your video , very helpful, so, I was trying to make a reservation with Volaris from Tijuana to La Paz. when I typed Tijuana, it gave me to choices 1. Tijuana 2. Tijuana cross border express (TJX) , which is more expensive , I believe it's includes the paperwork to go through CBX already, can you confirm? If yes, is it easier to buy that ticket which already includes the CBX pass? Thanks in advance
