I’m a bass player and I actually did this once. Called the community college I was attending at the time for a financial report, after 10 minutes of being on hold I picked up the bass, put the phone on speaker and started improvising some melancholic bass groove to go with the oddly gloomy hold music. Needless to say it was a little awkward when I hadn’t noticed a woman had picked up the phone after 10 seconds of her trying to get my attention. We did not jam together unfortunately
The worst part though is when the music gets interrupted every 5 bars to reassure you that they'll have somebody with you shortly like okay sure but why do that I was enjoying the music and now I have to wait before it starts up again
Ikr! I feel like everybody forget about that. Had to deal with that during Covid using Soundjack, but at least it was much better than zoom. The best tech for asynchronous music at the time.
@@chessandmusicwithoskiez6241 Easter 2020, extended family Zoom gathering. Wanting to sing "Let there be peace on Earth" as is family tradition. I know this is going to go poorly. We may have had seven different delays happening, before people try to jump to compensate. It was musical hell.
I work in a call center and also I'm a musician, I always listen to that hold music and imagined myself playing some guitar riffs and now you just released this video, LOL that's a good one 😂
That first hi-hat groove was so tasty i had to hop on the kit and learn it! Fantastic playing and great video, I always jammed out to this hold music during my first job lmao
Aaron I just want to say that your very special and brave for making this type of content, so glad your making this videos, I sound kinda silly but it's inspiring what this man does, he's a good person.
Not silly at all! He puts himself out there and that’s what makes his content stand out and above the rest. And he definitely radiates good vibes as a great person. I agree 100%.
This is my FAVORITE wait instrumental. Used to work for a loan company which means constant calls to banks and insurance companies. It was always a good day when I could groove out to this one! Thanks for the throwback!
You know it's a good video when, after it ends, you have to re-like the video because you hit like button at the end, when you already liked it during the video.
All of these skits are top notch man, you put in the effort everytime! Love the "supercell" *ring sound*, used to play Clash Royale a ton back when lol. And bro THE GUITAR COLAB if only every on hold was as fun 😢
The song is called Opus Number 1 - Eyeliner by My Pet Flamingo It’s part of a vaporwave album/collection called ‘Thank you for holding’, which is suitable for this video My favourite track is donor lens can’t get through, you should check it out the album is very cool
It's not by My Pet Flamingo. He did a remix of it. Stop being wrong about obvious shit. The original was Opus No.1 by Tim Carleton and Darrick Deel, who created it back in 1989. "Among the best known due to its default presence on Cisco telephones is "Opus Number One" by Tim Carleton and high-school friend Darrick Deel, who recorded it on a four-track tape recorder in 1989. Deel went on to work for Cisco in building the company's first VoIP phone. When a need for default on hold music came up, he recalled the track he and Carleton had recorded and reached out to Carleton for approval."
Came from the short, let's go! Kinda had a feeling you already did something like this before, glad to see that I wasn't just tripping in the end haha Plot twist was a bit expectable (although maybe that's because I've watched a whole lot of plot twists recently) but it still went good. All in all, lovely vid again!
the moment he said "oh i didnt say stop sir, and the moment that riff started, i just started banging my head in my chair. this video is unlocking the inner machinations of my mind. it is no longer an engima.
You gotta let me in on how you record your gear! I'm also a musician and I've been wanting to create videos like this! But anyways, huge inspiration nonetheless! Thank you 😊

Can’t believe she didn’t jam, that was her moment
I would jam as a woman bruh music is my passion
Stopped reading at “I’m a bass player”.

Only way to do it
Bro Banfield has some killer waiting music. I'm serious, unfortunately unable to find the track name on google
the sheer skill of both musicians to compensate for the delay provided by the phone

Too stunning
This is amazing. Ok but what are those chords Aaron. You should make it an entire song it sounds amazing
Then he would get in trouble with copyright claim, unless if he would clear it. Since it is a song from the answermachine.

The doctor has some vibes man!
I absolutely love that hold song. It seems rare to come across it nowadays though.
This is such a good one. You need to release that last jam as an actual song. Too good.
That was sick drum playing.

Honestly, it's quite pleasant when the hold music isn't a quintuple compressed static loup being repeated every 30 seconds.

Opus No 1 by Tim Carleton.
It’s the default Cisco VoIP system hold music.
No way. Way. Nice.
Oh, the dramatic build-up and the exquisite denouement!..
Maaan when the doc started shredding I lost it. Awesome video as always 👏
He will never not make me laugh 🤣🤣🤣
They really should hire musicians to produce some better hold music or reinvigorate the existing pieces. This was fantastic!
This is the kinda service this world needs.
I have legit picked up guitar and shred to hold music
Omg love ur vids

“Thank you for calling a doctors office” 😂😂😂😂 had me from the start
Awesome drumming man. Keep it up. Liking the content. Diamond in the rough of TH-cam.
that tone on the guitar sounds soooo amazing
facepalm
This was the hold music for our help line at work and I gotta say your remix smashes the original
This is hilarious, what makes it even better is that the music is the exact same music that my job uses on hold.

As someone who has worked in a call center. I wish I have had that experience to make up for how boring it is most of the time.
The fact the guitar sounds like it's being played through a phone speaker was the icing on the cake.
