As a guitarist, bassist, and drummer, I can confirm that I don't know where I'm going with this
Bros in execute💀💀💀💀💀💀
That's okay, we all zoned out after "bassist"!
As a drummer first, and both guitarist and bassist 2nd, I, too, don't know where the hell this is going
Me too bro
Same
Bold of the bassist to assume the guitarist knows what a key is
I don’t know, I recently asked the bassist if he was playing the chord as major or minor because something sounded off. He said “there’s no minor on bass.”
@@timmiller1 I mean they’re kind of right if they are just playing root notes…
@@lowfidelity499 yeah that’s how the conversation concluded, but I still thought it was funny.
Me finding it funny that it's the bassist that knows theory.

As a drummer, I can confirm that I can already feel the music coming inside of me.

This is gold🤣🤣🤣🤣

Somethings off guys. Well no s*** lol
I read this before it happened and it still got me, lmao
LMAO 🤣
Same- well I laughed so hard that I was kinda crying
As a bassist, I can confirm we only need one string.
No offense but you ain’t very good if you only use one string.
@@goulartepastor This was pretty much a joke. Obviously the other strings are used in basically every song, and they are essential to making good stuff, but using only the first string is possible.
@@goulartepastorto be fair my reading teacher (yes i know this sounds dumb) but he was voted best bassist in chicago 2022 and is one of the best in the underground scene here and uses 3 strings

As a bassist who plays a 6 string......I can confirm we only need 1 string
as a bassist, i can confirm i am treated like a cat that did something bad every time i talk...
Bassists Unite!!! We must be treated fairly or if they would at least spray me with tequila instead of water would be an improvement.
*SQUIRT SQUIRT SQUIRT* Bad bassist! Adults are talking!
The best part is that I'm literally the only person in my band who has any idea what I'm talking about lmao
@@actualturtle2421 Yeah, that’s the bassists job.
Im a guitarist who plays a little bass. Nothing shows ignorance more than musicians who rubbish on other instruments/bandmates and claim they’re less relevant. Especially the hate for bassists and drummers, who literally hold the bad together so singers can wail and lead guitarist can noodle.
I love how the guy saying “wait wait, something isn’t working here” is always the reason something isn’t working.
so true

As a bassist I can confirm that you most likely stole my comment.

as a drummer as well I can VERY heavily relate
Drums and bass ARE the backbone of the band, so it makes sense
I'm a bassist and same 🤝
Failed guitarist here… can confirm that the drummer is my dawg
Yup! Rhythm guitar is also important as well. Its sad how the actual glue that holds bands together and allows the more prestigious roles to have their fun cop so much hate.
As a long-time user of GarageBand, I immediatly recognised that bassline 🤣
I was just gonna say same 😂😂😂
Lol @ the bassist being treated like/looking like he’s worthless yet slaying it and knowing everything
Holy cow, the drum intro lick at 2:34 was fire, but if you threw that out at a casual jam, nobody would find the tempo because they've all had their panties blown off. Love it!
As a bassist I can confirm that my guitarist actually acts and treats me like this 💀
form a better band with your drummer
@@OtherOliviaDunhamto form a successful band you need a highly narcissistic and self centered singer, a slightly less narcissistic and self centered guitarist, a bass player that doesn’t talk and stays over on his own part of the stage and a drummer who has attention deficit disorder and way to much energy but is otherwise a pretty amicable fellow.
@@Winstonrodney6989 This is not true. Because that's basically every band.

As a guitarist who had little experience and started a band back in 2019, playing smells like teen spirit out of nowhere is so true
I was fully expecting them to start playing take 5 instead of taking a break
I would love to see a series of this band's journey!
bro the fact I have a friend who only knows how to play smells like Teen Spirit is way too relatable 😭
As someone who can play many things other than Teen Spirit, I go out of my way to play it every five seconds on guitar. I’m a drummer 👌
The most accurate part of this video is the guitarist playing SLTS while everyone else is jamming lmao!
As a bass player I am the keeper of the right keys in our band. I have to keep watch over our keyboarder, because he uses his transpose festure a lot to play in an easier key and then forgets about it! 😂
Don't ever let the band mate who doesn't understand what key the song is in know that you know they don't know. They'll never admit it until they die.
I've got this problem, and I'll admit it, but I'll never actually start playing in the correct key when you mention it to me, I mean there's at least four of them, how can I be expected to know each one by sound alone?
@@_underscore_9271 the thing is you aren’t, very few people can. looking at fingers or noodling quietly until you find it is how most people do it
that's certainly the appropriate way to treat a bassist fr you're on the right track aaron (btw i really love your videos it's obvious there's so much thought and effort that goes into them and if you could in any way cover some steve miller band that would be awesome :))

Yea

Make sure you capture it on video and post it on TH-cam!!!
well???
Did you get kicked out funny man
My first "band rehearsal" was kinda weird. We played like one of metallica songs i had to learn on the go and layered it with incomprehensive screams. Yes, i was the nerdy bassist
"This is gonna look so good in post" 💀
As a bass player I'm pretty much done being in bands with guitarists, unless it's not their main instrument. They don't know theory, they have shit rhythm, they never take feedback, and usually they don't even know how to use their own gear.
Nowadays I got a band with bass, drums, and 2 keyboards. People keep asking us if we need a guitarist and the answer will always be no, lmao
that actually sounds pretty sweet you should post a few of your songs if you have recorded some/if you do record some
Damn, makes me feel thankful for my buddy who’s a guitarist that actually knows theory well because he majored in music.
Imagine someone said something like this about a specific race of people...
Hopefully one day when I have my first band rehearsal... this is exactly what I aspire it to be like.
Quit now. Music will break your heart and then grind the pieces into powder and snort it.

There's definitely some elements of truth there. Honorable mention would be either the bass player playing the tricky part to a song that mentioned as a "maybe" to try? Or the drummer ending every song the same way.
I play all three myself.
the part about venues giving free food is pretty realistic i played at this bar for about 2 or 3 tracks while my whole family enjoyed dinner our tab was cleared for free

Bassist: *plays nice grove*
Me The Guitarist: Sounds great but can you play it in Amin Pentatonic
Funny video but having been in more bands than I can remember over the past 50 years first rehearsals have always been just the opposite. Everyone is on their best behavior and not till everyone has gotten comfortable do the real personalities and problems start to surface which sucks because a lot has already been invested, not necessarily $ but everything else. Several times I have thought, oh man these guy are great, this band is going to work, then a month later literally being ready to strangle at least one of them. Also though I play several instruments I always get called for bass. I've never allowed myself to be treated in the clique "bass player" fashion but I've always been handled with kid gloves anyway because I own a killer PA system. Aaand the fact that I'm 6'4"/225 helps a bit lol
As a bassist, I don’t know what to say.
It's been 11 years since I last started a new band - actually, that's not true, it's been like 9 years. The band I started 11 years ago, I was the guitar player, and before ever having a practice, we threw out a few cover songs we could learn quickly and play them together. I can write, but I can't improvise, so this worked out well. After that band broke up, the drummer stayed, I moved to bass, and we got our friend from high school that I played with in my first band on guitar. We didn't learn anything and just went straight into writing something by jamming. I was not a fan of this and I peaced out after 2 sessions. Didn't help that I wasn't into the style of music the other two were going for. XD
As a drummer, that drum set up is what I use
Hell, my band isn't even real. We've never had a rehearsal.
The bass player is Mikey Way. I'm crying
I relate to the missing bass strings so much. I've been playing with just 2 strings for abt a year now
Also if those are prescription glasses I have the same pair! I picked them cause they were bigger than everything else
On the other hand, I gained a string about a year ago. 5 string bass really is something else.
as a drummer, i can confirm we only need hi hat, foot and drum
Wait people call it foot? I always called it bass or kick
How do you know if there’s a singer at your door?
He’s never on time and he can’t find the key
as a guitarist, i can confirm.
big love bro bro
Lol, the complete unfairness toward the bassist. 😄 …And for almost no reason. 😆
You see my first band i was in was weird in the fact we took the shit out of the guitarist bc he never practiced so we were all at a good level for playing for a year or so each whilst he could play about the level of someone who had only recently started
forgot the guitarist always noodling whilst everyone talks
ROE JOGAN ???? 😱
As a bassist I really don’t get the deal with guitarist, hating us, because almost every guitarist I’ve ever met was just happy to jam. And then I learned that they live miles away, if not across the country sooooooo yeah, I’m kind of stuck, making my own music and had to become a multi instrumentalist to fulfill my music making passions and then a lot of my recording equipment broke, and now I’m stuck just making synthetic music and I MISS JAMMING😭😭😭
3:59 yeah, we'll fix it in post 😅
The thumbnail cracks me up every time
As a guitarist: I’m so going to get a spray bottle for the singer bassist and drummer 😂😈😈😈
3:03-3:05 lol I got The Police vibes there for a second.
The other 3 strings are just there for decoration, right?
As a bassist I can confirm that the one string bass is killing me 😭
Day 32 of asking for you to cover joy division disorder as a one man band😊🫡.
My band broke up on our first rehearsal. We got back together 2 years later and have been through 4 bassists
