Today’s show features the most discussed watch of the year: the 2020 Rolex Submariner. This 41mm Rolex Sub incorporates a classic high-style combination of yellow gold and stainless steel. Newly reprofiled lugs ensure that the 41mm Submariner is more graceful at the outer edges than its blockish predecessor. A Rolex Oyster bracelet and locking clasp with “Glidelock” sliding size adjustment ensure a precise fit or easy adaptability to a diving suit. Inside the case, Rolex’s new caliber 3235 automatic movement affords 70 hours of power reserve; water resistance remains 300-meters.
Omega’s legendary Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch arrives in an attractive “chocolate dial” execution. Also known as a “tropical dial,” this warm tone evokes vintage Omega Speedmasters even as this model’s “sapphire sandwich” case construction raises the standard of equipment from the conventional Moonwatch’s hesalite crystal and solid caseback. An upgraded Moonwatch movement - the caliber 1863 - features improved aesthetic finish better suited to a display caseback.
An Audemars Piguet Royal Oak self-winding ensures that the world’s best-known luxury sports watch features on today’s program. This classical 39mm example features the original 1972 case size coined by Royal Oak designer, Gerald Genta. A hand-finished rose gold case lives up to Audemars Piguet’s reputation for metalwork, and the manufacture caliber 3120 automatic movement blends beauty with durability. This example features an uncommon combination of a rose gold case and an alligator leather strap.

That DeBethune’s titanium - a Japanese company perfected adding heat coloring to titanium. I’ve got a set of heat-colored titanium cutlery. It’s durable and very cool looking!
That Gerald Genta - awesome! I really liked their brand as well as Daniel Roth before they were both disbanded.
I like all the Sinns mixed in with the chocolate Speedy.

Grand Seiko is *VERY* let down by its cheap folded bracelet clasps. Under $1000? Acceptable. Over $5000? Honestly shameful, and unbecoming of the house making such well-crafted dials, furnishings, and cases.
