I only wish they had done the Broncos a decade ago, before the stricter emissions standards started forcing the use of smaller turbo'd engines everywhere. Bronco Sport with a V6 and the Bronco with a V8 would have been fantastic, and likely have been able to last much longer (engine-wise). Engines aside, Ford has really put a lot of thought into the Bronco line. As long as they are long-term reliable, they have the potential to be a real success story for Ford.

I own a bronco sport. It has lots of interior room for a small truck. I am 6 foot 10 inches tall and weigh 300 lbs. I fit in both the front and back seats comfortably. The 1.5 l turbo has plenty of spunk. Had it on the freeway at 80 rpm was 2200. Had no problems. It drives great on snow and ice. Only thing is my dog doesn't like the fact the rear windows dont go down all the way.

    • @syxepop
      @syxepop 3 ปีที่แล้ว

That NA-2.5L doesn't make the 250hp (there's no EB'd version of the engine). It makes like 175hp.
The one that makes 250hp is the EB'd 2.0L used in the Badlands Bronco Sport, topline on the Escape, base on the Lincoln Corsair and in other larger apps, like the Edge, Taurus and Explorer.

The one thing they got wrong was the price. To get the 2.0 you have to choose the badlands package and after just a couple of options you are at $36k. For $38k you can get a ranger crew cab XLT with locking rear axle that will out tow and easily be more capable offroad (not to mention last a lot longer doing it with a solid frame). It will definitely have more pep too.

Wow, very cool vehicle. Even cooler review. Kyla is awesome and so are you. Great wiggle too (even though the seats lacked bolstering).

Am I wrong to say it has the same body type as a 2011 for escape. Even with the trunk.

Its garbage. Amazing they would even consider calling it a Bronco. It's like remaking orginal movies.....THEY CAN'T. The Challenger is the only remake of a vehicle from the past that even looks remotely like the original.

That rear hatch that can just open the window. Yes. Ford escape/Mazda Tribute had that. Loved it. Ever opened your rear hatch and have everything fall out?
Wish other automakers would take note.

The Ford pony would be the Mustang.
I’ve waited a long time to see Sarah’s review of the new Bronco. It seems to be just adequate to move a flock of penguins.
It’s the Badlands 4 cylinder turbo , I would choose.

11:33 - I drove through bugs the other day, and there were so many that it sounded like rain was hitting the car. I was 30 miles from the nearest town, on a 2 lane road with no shoulder. This is something that happens several times a year, though it's particularly bad this year for unknown reasons. I would love to have a bigger washer fluid tank.

This was another well produced, informative, and funny review of the new "bronco". I hope you do a review of the new Honda Civic - I watched a review of it by the Straight Pipes channel... it was so poorly produced... well... watch their video and cry with me... I was interested in the new Civic, but really need a "Sarah-n-Tuned" quality review to figure out what is going on with it. Keep up the great work Sarah!

This looks more like I imagined the next iteration of the Escape should be...instead, Ford gives us two similar size but very different vehicles.
That 360 view is sick, looks like you're in a video game.

What’s the reliability of the internals on this 3cyl ? I suspect we will all start seeing videos about blown head gaskets and warped cylinder heads in a few years.

Naw, worn cylinder linings and bearings is my bet. Idk if it's direct injected, then you can also expect fouled up intake runners and valves.

Yeah I got a feeling it's gonna have more problems than most of its higher displacement direct injection brothas & sistas.
If it came from the factory with a blow-by catch can that might help but I can foresee premature detonation problems from carbon build-up around the valve surface/ seats/guides/cylinder head pocket cavities on both available engines.

Uh, either my '05 Explorer and '08 Explorer are 'special' or Ford made back hatches with rear deck windows that open separate from the hatch. It is a cool feature, and I'm glad Ford is using it in the Bronco mini!

That glass that opens in the back hatch that also opens has been done for many years, in fact growing up everything had that, im surprised to hear it went away enough that someone doesn't know it exists, admittedly I'm not a follower of what i considered a standard feature growing up, so never expected it would disappear. and now i feel much older.........

It looks kind of like the original 2000-2006-ish Escapes... Much more like the Escape did than the new "Escape" does, which is sadly basically just another car/station wagon, but not really off-road capable at all anymore...
    :(
This thing though... this should have been the replacement for the original Escape!
