I have known Sarm Singh for about 6 years, we lived down the road from each other in Buriram. we would run most evenings together and then do some training at his home gym on his farm where his father would teach him. Seriously... thank you for doing this!
You show the world insights in the Muay Thai-Business... that they probably never would have seen.
It is not a matter of liking or disliking what's going on with the bets and so on...
it is a lifestyle that gives underprivileged kids a possibilty to have some earnings to start a career.
Actually it is quite similar to the military service in many countries.
People enlist... have the lifestyle and go for an education after their service.

Chris that was spectacular... whatever the TH-cam industry recognition awards are, you should get one for this video. The storyline was exciting, informative and the camera work and your narrative drew you deeper and deeper into the world of Muay Thai. I can’t believe you produced, caught and edited on just an iphone(?).... it’s so well shot and edited. The pacing was great! The interview subjects were the right people to illustrate the story. One aspect, that I find interesting is the starting age of the fighters. I caught a couple of bouts in Chiang Mai. On the fighters card that night must have been kids 12-14 years old. Keep up the great work... you are the gold standard in TH-cam story telling. Always rewarding. Thank you! 🙏

Good job making this behind-the-scenes video blog. The footage opened my eyes as regards the commoditization of Muay Thai by gamblers from all walks of life. And quite interesting how gamblers settle their bets during the fifth and final round, well before the judges hand their cards in! Obviously the stakes can be high hence a fighter may or may not take a dive on account of this (who knows?). Thank you again for providing a good insight.

The weighing, the massaging, the taping, warm up, seeing other bloody beaten fighters come into the dressing room.. this whole situation is just fckd up. Epic video Chris, shame your man lost on the night, its a tough old sport and you have given us all an amazing insight into the preparation. The gambling side is incredible considering it is illegal.

It is legal within the stadium krub. The same could be said about horse racing in this country and around the world, betting is legal in the stadium, field. Outside the venue, it is illegal.
