I love the idea of different dimensions, one where ratchet always wins and rivet not having defeated emperor nefarious, so there can just be an infinite number of other Lombaxes that have different stories, the possibilities are endless.
I actually have a very big theory....Ratchet and Rivet are NOT dimensional counterparts. They are from the same single species, without any dimension. Im going to give 4 reasons. 1) The Lombax's are not a dimensional species. As we have been shown and told in the lore of the Lombax's they were one of the smartest species EVER in the galaxy their smartest minds created the dimensionator alone. If the lombax's had counterparts in every dimension, than theoretically shouldn't almost every dimension have a dimensionator in it? at least at some point in time? If this were the case then as soon as Ratchet and Rivet leave to go to another dimension they should find another lombax with little to no trouble at all which doesnt make sense in the long run. Furthering the idea the Lombax's are a one of a kind species they CANT be found in other dimensions. 2) The Counterparts of Clank and Qwark make sense because they ARE dimensional and came from their dimensions. Clank was created by Drek and Nefarious to be a war bot and he ultimately defected. Its been established where Clank had come from and who his parents were. Just like Clank, Kit is the same way. She was created by Emperor Nefarious to be a War bot and defected. While she "supposedly" doesnt have parents. its clear where she is form, there is no mystery with either her or Clank. The same goes for Quantum and Qwark, we know where they came from so they have no mystery in their backstories. Ratchet and Rivet do not have that luxury. They dont know much about their past and they hope to find other Lombax's through the dimentionator, that is their ONLY lead. What happened to Ratchet with him being left on Veldin by his Father is most likely what happened to Rivet in some same way, EXCEPT that Ratchets Father Kaden used the Dimensionator to send Ratchet away to another dimension to the Solona Galaxy to protect him just before he was killed. Rivet most likely got sent to Sargasso as a baby by the same means....BY SOMEONE ELSE. 3) The Lombax's went to their OWN dimension After the war with Tachyon. After Tachyon had pushed the Lombax's back to Fastoon, they had made arrangements to flee to another dimension. Most of the lombax's had fled to another dimension. Azimuth was exiled and because he most likely didnt know about the Lombax plans to leave Fastoon, he went after the Great Clock to correct his mistake. this makes sense as to why the Lombax's are a single species, they created the dimensionator and it was GROUNDBREAKING technology, if they had to any other dimension, they would never see another Lombax because they are the only species in the know universe to have create a dimensionator, hence never seeing another counterpart Lombax 4) Most of the Lombax's are in 1 dimension only. the same dimension that Ratchet refused to go to during the events of "Into the Nexus" wherever the Lombax's are they are clearly residing in that dimension alone and nowhere else. And that dimension is most likely where Rivet's parents or relatives are, and Ratchets relatives are...any other Lombax's like Angela Cross is most likely just on their own and doing their own thing, but are ultimately from the same species of Lombax's as well. Ratchet and Rivet are from a single species, without dimensional counterparts....They are NOT the same.
I like rivet, her story made sense and she has very good development. I'm interested in her and kits backstory, theres plenty of potential. Rivet had two other people with her besides a mort, and I'm not 100% sure that she actually is Ratchet's counterpart. Every single other character was the same gender as there other dimensional counterpart. Neither clank nor ratchet ever said 'who are you' when talking about skidd's or rusty Pete. Kit is also interesting, one such thing is, could she ever go...intense again? It seemed like she only went there during times of self doubt maybe extreme anger? How will she handle that or what caused that in the first place? A glitch or emperor nefarious doing something to her but she was able to get away? I just know that I would like to know more about them and that there better than talywn.
I hope Ratchet and Rivet aren't really alternate counterparts of each other. My headcanon is that Ratchet did exist in Rivet's dimension, but he was eliminated with the other Lombaxes, while Rivet survived, and vice versa for Rivet in ratchet's dimension.
Check the Lorbs. They suggest the Lombaxes don’t have dimensional counterparts and originated in Ratchet’s dimension, only to be scattered across the dimensions.

yes they would be a good couple, but it feels a little bit weird that they seem to be different Versions of the same Person. Ok they dont look just with switched sex, but it is still very weird. It would be better when Ratchet and Rivet were not the same Person but completely different, But in Ratchets Universe Rivet never existed and in Rivets Ratchet never existed. It would be like the success of Nefarious and other anomalies. I mean it is good that this is also a kids game and the developers dont have to confront a real romantic relationship between Ratchet and his own female version Rivet.
@@frateradamanteus I agree that they shouldn’t be dimensional parallels, in fact in game you could find audio logs from the Lombax who made the dimensional map and in the last one he says that other Lombaxes are scattered across dimensions, so if we were to go by this then we can assume Rivet is a descendent of two of these scattered refugees.

i actually loved when Dr.Nefarious tell Emperor Nefarious "what do you know about winning?" pretty much saying "how does it feels to lose for the first time jerk?"
If you remember in Into the Nexus, when Talwyn asked him to come back to Meridian City, and he refused bc he wanted to stay focused on the mission, where as now, when Rivet’s home world is under attack, Ratchet’s first reaction is to go with her and help instead of finding the other resistance members. Idk I thought it would be interesting to bring up.
It is also worth noting that she was suppose to be the reason that he didn’t try to find the Lombaxes, and he quickly changed his stance on that. The lead writer confirmed that finding the lombaxes is the most important thing to him, and that was a decision that the whole company came to after she asked them what drives Ratchet as a character

My advice to you is to wait a little bit. At least wait until January of 2022. I got a cool tip from a Game stop employee and he mentioned that Sony may be using weak chips in some of these PS5s(due to the chip shortage lately) .So just wait for the consumer reviews after the whole Black Friday thing this November.

Ok, ratchet and rivet are not the same person but are dimensional counterparts, explained by @artic wolf, who also wrote a comment. Also, u might not like the ship, and say u don't see it but others do which is alot, lastly canon and noncanon, yes I know technically ratchet has a girlfriend, I watched the video when it came out, but people want something new respect that and this game was made for new people new people means new audience and new ideas, and don't crusade them just welcome them as fans. Personally, I prefer this relationship bc it can provide a better story and continue the games better, not bc i am a fury or rule 34, simply bc I love stories and see them progress make theories
I mean, I'm a fan of the franchise, I met him through my older brother, I know that our protagonist has a girlfriend (thing they didn't show us more about their "relationship" on screen other than comics and an official book that many of us probably don't buy) and the truth is I didn't take it important until they uploaded this game and honestly I loved the dynamic between the two of them, I don't know... I like those couples (in the world of entertainment) who are kickers, fighters, dynamic and work as a team as a couple like the combos, of course it is my opinion and here they did it. I am very much a defender of the canon but it is the first time that I have not gone there. Hale isn’t perfectly able to make her voice sound like that without any artificial tuning. Rivet actually sounds close to the voice she uses for Sam in Totally Spies.
When I first heard Hale was doing her voice I was actually kind of both expecting and hoping she would use her usual low-pitched, "standoffish character thats very guarded but just because she's lonely and has been hurt really bad all her life" voice that . . . well, she's pretty good at. I feel it would have fit Rivet, personally, but I guess I can also see where they would have wanted to give her the up-pitched treatment since Ratchet also has the same kind of tonal register, and it probably would have sounded a little strange. I guess Rivet didn't really need any more reason for people to love her, either; I know even I would turn furry for her if she had Hale's normal voice.
According to Mags(the lombax from the audilogs) his race was scattered on multiple dimensions so that means prob Rivet isnt an alternate version of Ratchet and maybe she is the daugther of Azimuth that got lost on that event.
I'm not sure about the alternative version thing either, everyone is the same gender as there counterparts except ratchet and rivet, and probably clank and kit.
A ship between ratchet and rivet, and another between clank and kit. Don't want your partner and best friend to feel like a third wheel, or be without his own ship. That will fly through dimensions.
@@A2goddess Well, it actually could be possible, if Alistair's wife/Rivet's mother was one of the many who went across dimensions (we currently only know of 2 who didn't go) and something happened that forced Rivet to be left on Sargasso in the Emporer Nefarious dimension. Though we won't really know until the next game.

In fairness most of us haven’t experience the earlier ratchet and clank games and this is vertically the only ratchet and clank game I’ve played so Ratchet and Rivet is the only ship I know about still I respect everyone’s opinion you like his other girlfriend I’m fine with that
I’d have to agree that nothing happens at all. There was barely any interaction between the two, and people want them to be kissing and shit already at the end of the game, it makes no god dang sense. I don’t believe they go their separate ways though, rivet joins ratchet on another adventure there at the very end of the game. Either way, it would be cliche as fuck if insomniac actually pairs them up.
Well keep in mind the is the first game Rivet and Ratchet are together in...it is WAY to soon to start shipping them. HOWEVER its not unreasonable or impossible. They are both the same species so it makes sense, they both have similar goals in finding the Lombax's so theres that, and their friends Kit and Clank are perfect for each other, so it makes sense. But Talwyn Apogee is apparently Ratchets Girlfriend, as of right now. So if they ever want to ship Ratchet and Rivet and make them a couple, then Taylwn would either have to break up with Ratchet, or Talwyn would have to be Killed.
It's funny if they really develop their love line. Although technically they shouldn't be more correctly considered "brother" and "sister"? Although who knows what the creators mean by "alternative analogue". For example, in spaderverse, Peter Parker's alternate counterpart is Gwen Stacy, who has an explicit romantic relationship with another “alternate counterpart” Miles Morales. In short, the situation is rather confusing. I would like to understand in what way the creators will develop their relationship

Or did she have other parents who were the guardians of the dimension in that timelan? If the first option is correct, does it mean that the Lombax migration took place in different dimensions, or was Rivet abandoned by the fleeing Lobax during the migration and she became the only Lobax instead of Ratchet? But if she is the daughter of Ratchet's alternative father, does this mean that in the dimension where the Lobax live are all their relatives from different dimensions? The problem of "alternative twin" is that in different settings they can be assigned different properties. And another big problem is that very little is known about the Lobax background so far. Therefore, I am wondering how the developers will go further. She can be like the daughter of a Lobax who was left instead of Ratchet's father (for example, Alistair, well, or someone else, something like "what if?") Then all these strange hints of romance can be justified, or she really is the daughter of an alternative Ratchet's father and then their relationship should be perceived as "brother" and "sister". I don’t know in which direction the creators will develop this, and so far all that I have said is just speculation. I think more background Ratchet and Rivet could clarify more

I’m curious to see if Insomniac goes for the Romance or the Friendship route with these two characters. Not every male and female protagonist need to romance each other (cough cough Rise of Skywalker cough cough) P.S: Not familiar with Rachet and Clank lore, so someone can correct me.
@@DatJaneDoeArchive I think they just retconned that. Tails are much cuter. I’d be silly not to include one on a furry like character. Imagine Rivet without one. It’s a simple design choice. They forgot or did not have time to give Angela a tail. She was masked half the game, they didn’t want to ruin the surprise.
The ship has potential, but not until the company currently tells us otherwise is what we will have, about Tawlyn well... in the comics they don't tell us much and in the official artwork book confirms that she is his girlfriend but still for many we do not have that scope to buy it which their relationship in writing is not well done, I am not going to deny it I like this ship, it is more dynamic and both can kick butt easily but If the company really wants to give us what it is with Tawlyn I think it is the perfect time for them to make her more important and have a well done development on screen (no comics, no artworks books or anything else like that).
Also remember that Ratchet sees Talwyn more as a friend than a couple and he decided to be very loving with her because he had lost his best friends. The question is, what would you do if you had a person from your family who just lost him? your almost lifelong friends?
@@pslayer8943 You really have to remember that when insoniac said why angela cross didn't have a tail it was because female lombax doesn't have a tail and the males do and all that was a mess until they confessed that they forgot to put a tail on angela cross then when insoniac He says something, you do not have to believe it at all, it may be that they are wrong about the question that Talwyn and Ratchet are a couple but a couple of colleagues, for example, two mechanics are a couple but you understand it from work
We must also remember that there was a rebut of the series on ps4 and it may be that this story that we are seeing is not the same story that we already knew on the ps3 and it may be that this story of ratchet and clank is almost the same story but different from the one we have already known about with the news of the queue
also when I see ratchet and river together they form a beautiful couple also I have never seen Ratchet so nervous and so surprised and sad when he saw rivet from the second game of ps2, of course also know that the two like each other and a lot

Well can I change it mind, I'm not. Professional but I did research some signs of attraction. This includes excessive amount of movement, Smiling, Sweaty palms, and interruptions or the trying to limit interruptions. So when rivet meets ratchet, he puts hands behind his back to emulate sweeting palms Then she looks around the room, moving alot in the process. In that entire conversation they smile well unless u count when ratchet sees clank. Then when they get mad at each other then say "sorry I..." Interrupting each other then proceed to say it again but interrupted each again. Now these are my interpretations using the info I found and experienced.
From the way he speaks Tarchet to rivet and how he apologizes to her it is all clear that he is in love with rivet until even the body language that most people do when they are in love was seen

And as I left in the comments, these cases have already been seen and I will repeat it, you have seen the movie Spider-Man a new good universe, what are the characters that come from a different dimension and we can say that they like each other but You haven't seen the movie. I'm going to tell you, thousands morales and Gwuen stacy, they are spider man, but from another random dimension of spider man, in this case, the dimension of miles morales is a man, and the dimension of Gwuen stacy is a spider woman. the two met once notice that they like each other at the hour if you understand it no matter where you come from, love is present for all living beings no matter what place or dimension you come from
Lets see, the only confirmed couple of lovers Ratchet had (outside of cut dialouge) is Sasha, and Talwyn. Sasha was Ratchet's Love Interest in the 3rd Ratchet & Clank Game, and was around until the 4th Game in the series. Talwyn was Ratchet's Love Interest from the Future Saga, all the way to the end of the PS3 Days, and Insomniac has stated, that Talwyn is Ratchet's Current Girlfriend. Outside of the fact Ratchet & Rivet are Lombaxes, both of them are alternate dimension versions of each other, and while alternate dimension relationships does happen sometimes. I don't really see Rivet as Ratchet's New Love Interest. And No, Angela Cross doesn't count, Insomniac pretends she doesn't exist, and both She, and Ratchet never had a thing together in the 2nd Game. So that's why.
I don't know about that. The Art Book was released 3 years ago, and Insomniac can just as easily do a Sasha and have that Ratchet and Talwyn also broke up between Into the Nexus and Rift Apart. In fact you can kinda see it in the end credits that Talwyn literally on has a 6 second cameo compared to her screen time in Into the Nexus. So yeah, if Insomniac wanted either by thier own interest or by the fanbase, they could make the next game incorporate Ratchet and Rivot becoming a couple.
I think people may have it wrong on who is whos other counterpart. Other then race and gender who is more like who. Kit feels like she is Ratchets counterpart more then Rivet is. her self-doubts and colors plus her being more of a fighter then the brain fit Ratchet. With Rivet, she has hard logic at times. With being more of the brains, plus I think they spelled it out to us with the lost arm thing.
Wow, good point! I never thought about it like that. The arm thing really reinforces it. I did feel like Ratchet-Kit and Rivet-Clank were more similars and related to each other better, while Ratchet-Clank and Rivet-Kit were opposites in personality.
You are likely correct as Lauren (lead writer) said that a lot of Kit’s issues and flaws are Lauren writing what she knows from this personally and relates this to both Kit and Ratchet. Had neither of them confronted this part of themselves, they would be stuck never getting what they want or deserve. It’s a game about connection and love of all kinds. Ratchet and kit mirror each other in this respect, which is probably why Ratchet is not the one to attempt to help Kit, quite the opposite. Kit helps him see that in himself.
Nobody is completely sure since there’s lore bits (small archives that can be found on Savali) that imply she might just be another Lombax that got lost across the dimensions, albeit one with a lot of similarities to Ratchet. But at the same time the similarities and the fact practically the entire cast has a dimensional counterpart so why not Ratchet and Rivet

Rivet most likely got sent to Sargasso as a baby by the same means....BY SOMEONE ELSE.

Most of the lombax's had fled to another dimension. Azimuth was exiled and because he most likely didnt know about the Lombax plans to leave Fastoon, he went after the Great Clock to correct his mistake. this makes sense as to why the Lombax's are a single species, they created the dimensionator and it was GROUNDBREAKING technology, if they had to any other dimension, they would never see another Lombax because they are the only species in the know universe to have create a dimensionator, hence never seeing another counterpart Lombax
4) Most of the Lombax's are in 1 dimension only. the same dimension that Ratchet refused to go to during the events of "Into the Nexus" wherever the Lombax's are they are clearly residing in that dimension alone and nowhere else. And that dimension is most likely where Rivet's parents or relatives are, and Ratchets relatives are...any other Lombax's like Angela Cross is most likely just on their own and doing their own thing, but are ultimately from the same species of Lombax's as well.

I'm interested in her and kits backstory, theres plenty of potential. Rivet had two other people with her besides a mort, and I'm not 100% sure that she actually is Ratchet's counterpart. Every single other character was the same gender as there other dimensional counterpart. Neither clank nor ratchet ever said 'who are you' when talking about skidd's or rusty Pete.
Kit is also interesting, one such thing is, could she ever go...intense again? It seemed like she only went there during times of self doubt maybe extreme anger? How will she handle that or what caused that in the first place? A glitch or emperor nefarious doing something to her but she was able to get away? I just know that I would like to know more about them and that there better than talywn.

yes they would be a good couple, but it feels a little bit weird that they seem to be different Versions of the same Person. Ok they dont look just with switched sex, but it is still very weird. If you remember in Into the Nexus, when Talwyn asked him to come back to Meridian City, and he refused bc he wanted to stay focused on the mission, where as now, when Rivet’s home world is under attack, Ratchet’s first reaction is to go with her and help instead of finding the other resistance members. Idk I thought it would be interesting to bring up.

I feel like i should clarify...Ratchet and Rivet are NOT dimensional counterparts. They are from the same single species, without any dimension. Im going to give 4 reasons.
1) The Lombax's are not a dimensional species. As we have been shown and told in the lore of the Lombax's they were one of the smartest species EVER in the galaxy their smartest minds created the dimensionator alone. If the lombax's had counterparts in every dimension, than theoretically shouldn't almost every dimension have a dimensionator in it? at least at some point in time? If this were the case then as soon as Ratchet and Rivet leave to go to another dimension they should find another lombax with little to no trouble at all which doesnt make sense in the long run. I got a cool tip from a Game stop employee and he mentioned that Sony may be using weak chips in some of these PS5s(due to the chip shortage lately) .So just wait for the consumer reviews after the whole Black Friday thing this November.

I mean, I'm a fan of the franchise, I met him through my older brother, I know that our protagonist has a girlfriend (thing they didn't show us more about their "relationship" on screen other than comics and an official book that many of us probably don't buy) and the truth is I didn't take it important until they uploaded this game and honestly I loved the dynamic between the two of them, I don't know... I like those couples (in the world of entertainment) who are kickers, fighters, dynamic and work as a team as a couple like the combos, of course it is my opinion and here they did it. I am very much a defender of the canon but it is the first time that I have not gone there. Had no idea Jennifer Hale is Rivet… they must have up-pitched her, or she has a phenomenal range.
Hale isn’t perfectly able to make her voice sound like that without any artificial tuning.
Rivet actually sounds close to the voice she uses for Sam in Totally Spies.
When I first heard Hale was doing her voice I was actually kind of both expecting and hoping she would use her usual low-pitched, "standoffish character thats very guarded but just because she's lonely and has been hurt really bad all her life" voice that . . . well, she's pretty good at. I feel it would have fit Rivet, personally, but I guess I can also see where they would have wanted to give her the up-pitched treatment since Ratchet also has the same kind of tonal register, and it probably would have sounded a little strange.
I guess Rivet didn't really need any more reason for people to love her, either; I know even I would turn furry for her if she had Hale's normal voice.
According to Mags(the lombax from the audilogs) his race was scattered on multiple dimensions so that means prob Rivet isnt an alternate version of Ratchet and maybe she is the daugther of Azimuth that got lost on that event.
I'm not sure about the alternative version thing either, everyone is the same gender as there counterparts except ratchet and rivet, and probably clank and kit.

But Talwyn Apogee is apparently Ratchets Girlfriend, as of right now. So if they ever want to ship Ratchet and Rivet and make them a couple, then Taylwn would either have to break up with Ratchet, or Talwyn would have to be Killed.

Or did she have other parents who were the guardians of the dimension in that timelan? If the first option is correct, does it mean that the Lombax migration took place in different dimensions, or was Rivet abandoned by the fleeing Lobax during the migration and she became the only Lobax instead of Ratchet? But if she is the daughter of Ratchet's alternative father, does this mean that in the dimension where the Lobax live are all their relatives from different dimensions? The problem of "alternative twin" is that in different settings they can be assigned different properties. And another big problem is that very little is known about the Lobax background so far. Therefore, I am wondering how the developers will go further. She can be like the daughter of a Lobax who was left instead of Ratchet's father (for example, Alistair, well, or someone else, something like "what if?") Then all these strange hints of romance can be justified, or she really is the daughter of an alternative Ratchet's father and then their relationship should be perceived as "brother" and "sister". They forgot or did not have time to give Angela a tail. She was masked half the game, they didn’t want to ruin the surprise.

Well can I change it mind, I'm not. Professional but I did research some signs of attraction.
This includes excessive amount of movement, Smiling, Sweaty palms, and interruptions or the trying to limit interruptions.
So when rivet meets ratchet, he puts hands behind his back to emulate sweeting palms
Then she looks around the room, moving alot in the process.
In that entire conversation they smile well unless u count when ratchet sees clank.
Then when they get mad at each other then say "sorry I..." Interrupting each other then proceed to say it again but interrupted each again.
Now these are my interpretations using the info I found and experienced.
From the way he speaks Tarchet to rivet and how he apologizes to her it is all clear that he is in love with rivet until even the body language that most people do when they are in love was seen

Lets see, the only confirmed couple of lovers Ratchet had (outside of cut dialouge) is Sasha, and Talwyn. Sasha was Ratchet's Love Interest in the 3rd Ratchet & Clank Game, and was around until the 4th Game in the series. Talwyn was Ratchet's Love Interest from the Future Saga, all the way to the end of the PS3 Days, and Insomniac has stated, that Talwyn is Ratchet's Current Girlfriend. Outside of the fact Ratchet & Rivet are Lombaxes, both of them are alternate dimension versions of each other, and while alternate dimension relationships does happen sometimes. I don't really see Rivet as Ratchet's New Love Interest. And No, Angela Cross doesn't count, Insomniac pretends she doesn't exist, and both She, and Ratchet never had a thing together in the 2nd Game. So that's why.

I don't know about that. The Art Book was released 3 years ago, and Insomniac can just as easily do a Sasha and have that Ratchet and Talwyn also broke up between Into the Nexus and Rift Apart. In fact you can kinda see it in the end credits that Talwyn literally on has a 6 second cameo compared to her screen time in Into the Nexus. So yeah, if Insomniac wanted either by thier own interest or by the fanbase, they could make the next game incorporate Ratchet and Rivot becoming a couple.

I think people may have it wrong on who is whos other counterpart. Other then race and gender who is more like who. Kit feels like she is Ratchets counterpart more then Rivet is. her self-doubts and colors plus her being more of a fighter then the brain fit Ratchet. With Rivet, she has hard logic at times. With being more of the brains, plus I think they spelled it out to us with the lost arm thing.
Wow, good point! I never thought about it like that. The arm thing really reinforces it. I did feel like Ratchet-Kit and Rivet-Clank were more similars and related to each other better, while Ratchet-Clank and Rivet-Kit were opposites in personality.
You are likely correct as Lauren (lead writer) said that a lot of Kit’s issues and flaws are Lauren writing what she knows from this personally and relates this to both Kit and Ratchet. Had neither of them confronted this part of themselves, they would be stuck never getting what they want or deserve. It’s a game about connection and love of all kinds. Ratchet and kit mirror each other in this respect, which is probably why Ratchet is not the one to attempt to help Kit, quite the opposite. Kit helps him see that in himself.

Nobody is completely sure since there’s lore bits (small archives that can be found on Savali) that imply she might just be another Lombax that got lost across the dimensions, albeit one with a lot of similarities to Ratchet. But at the same time the similarities and the fact practically the entire cast has a dimensional counterpart so why not Ratchet and Rivet
