Thanks to you guys in the comment section for sharing and pointing this out to me. RikaShae breaks down what the bleeped word is. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/TY80_Dw2ORc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YkvVB0rMpWUdKEFo
Came here to tell ya this! He had to bleep out a word... think about that... a WORD!!! Effinst need to Own thier reputation! (Except for men destroying everything the effinist stand for... ie... women's sports... can't talk about that Either!)
"An isotope, a proton and a neutron in the nuclei/And split an atom in a fraction, a reaction..." "Breaking Atoms" was the debut album for Main Source. One of the members of Main Source was Large Professor. Large Professor produced Halftime. Ren's layers have layers.
@@GorGesGord1 ...Yup, that's what I was just getting ready to comment about. I saw another reactor claiming Ren stole that from Big L and was trying to sneak it in or didn't realize that the line existed. I was like no way, Ren doesn't do anything by accident, why would he steal a line from a track that's from the very era of hip-hop that he's paying homage to. It's definitely a tip of the hat to Big L.
Ren is siiiiiick 🔥 And this is the sickest ad for some sick boi merch 😂 He’s missing an opportunity if he doesn’t put that sweatshirt up on the store soon 🤣 Seriously though, Ren showing love for music he loves with his ReNtakes is yet another reason to love him. Somehow he manages to be humble and show respect for other artists while spitting braggadocios bars 😅 Not quite sure how that’s even possible, but hey it’s Ren doing Ren things 🤣
He released this on 3/14 which goes with the whole pie scheme. Even threw out a little shout out to reactors. “Reaction, Supersize me” I thought that was really cool of Ren. I always love your reactions and breakdowns. Thank you! I’d love for you to do Back on 74/Message in a bottle Retake.
@@mrteeeeeeee i think that was on purpose, The accident was the walk lights in the back, You see the red hand counting down and he stops on 0 and the camera pans round and he starts walking on the white man, it’s so cool but was an accident. the pie thing was on purpose tho
The day this dropped was pie day in America 3.14(PI) on purpose and when he paused and the beat stopped , the traffic lights went to on zero on the drop! That was no coincidence the timing on crossing the rd also. Meticulous planning. 😊
Best reaction to this 🔥track! The pirates scheme into pie rats/ Pi (3.14 released 3/14)/ pied rats bubonic scheme is so deep and complex it’s hard to believe he fit it all in just a few lines. 🤯🤯🤯
RIP BIG RIP MAC RIP PAC RIP P…. Beautiful tribute off a fast food scheme! Props to you Ren, not even being from America and knowing your hip-hop history and paying your tribute and homage!
I believe Ren was talking about the OG Craig Mack R.I.P. , but it's nice that Mac Miller (R.I.P) can also be included in a shout out for his contribution to Rap as well.👍
It's nice to see a reaction that will allow us viewers to enjoy and have fun along with the reactor instead of spreading negativity. I dont think Ren ever meant to replace Nas on this song or state that he is on the same level. So im glad to see an enjoyable reaction. Keep up work and your channel!!!!
It’s been so good to watch reactors who know about hip hop and see how they feel about this…..Ren so good in his retakes….paying homage to the original artists and putting his own twist on it. Love this reaction 💜🔥
Also, the sales will "reign" which follows the global warming rain ... He also mentioned RIP rap, if I hear it correctly? that goes in line with the lack of respect you mentioned. At the end, the mention of "stop the tape, press pause and eject" goes back to the old days also. So much more complex than first realised. Using comments from Nas' channel, the Pi mention and date. Ren is more than just quick witted. His attention to detail constantly astounds.
The stoplight crossing stopped at 0 when Ren stopped walking. Also it was PI day when he Released this song and this song is half the time of the og version NAS halftime. Literally half 😆
I've said it multiple times, you should really plug your music in at the start of your reactions, just a few bars of different songs that you created or helped create. Was shocked at how good some of them where and that I'd never heard of you. That's my bad but I bet there are many more like me that would love your music given the chance. ....... Dude just got to the end and noticed you got some of your music.... Leaving what I said just my very little way (only way right now) that I can give you your flowers for some truly awesome music.
A few people used to give him sh!t cus he's white... and BOOM, he throws out more knowledge in one track than those haters ever forgot in their life... so much deep respect and humility for the art. Same as in 'The Hunger' ... he doesn't just flex, he nods at his musical roots... and those roots run crazy deep : )
I'll be 60 in August. I grew up listening to the likes of Kool Moe Dee, Kurtis Blow, Doug E. Fresh, Paris, 2Pac, B.I.G., NWA, Ice Cube, Public Enemy... REN is far more than a "throwback" to those days... he's seeing those days in a 21st century mirror. Ren has been called a "UK Rapper" or "British hip-hop'." Perhaps. Bottom line... Ren has no rules... no boundaries... no genre... Ren is REN. And he's fucking BRILLIANT.
Loved this reaction! You’re absolutely right. Pay respect. And it’s other genres too. New R&B who know nothing about Motown or rockers that don’t appreciate blues. What? That’s your foundation. I grew up late 80s early 90s and listen to most genres but I did give up on rap. I’m glad some newer artists do show respect and went back to great storytelling because I’ve been listening again.
One of my favorite reactions so far. I love when people share their knowledge. I always learn something new, thanks! As far as mentioning Mac, maybe Ren was paying homage to more than one Mac and it was easier than naming all. Just a theory!
The bar that blurred out is "A feminist with no one to complain to." It is actually one of the most liked comments on the original video. The reason why feminist is bleeped out, is all the backlash in the comments. I think it was Nas that asked a question on hip hop in general. The answers were hockey without ice, China without rice and a few others. Ren took those mosted like comments and used the scheme as a tribute to Big L.
@@uncle_thulhuLol, not sure if they actually complained but taking the comments form Nas channel's and putting it into the track is genius. I mean even the length of the track is exactly half of Nas's Halftime and giving him massive flowers at the end...🔥🔥🔥
He called out Nas in 1974/ message in the bottle- so kind of seen this one coming - What is cute is that he did a Big l part with the hockey without ice and that he did half time at half the time of Nas's song.
It's actually a physics scheme trying to describe the type of processes involved in a nuclear explosion, which he links with "super size me", as the atom is invisible but the explosion is gigantic, jumping then into the McDonald's scheme.
Right on! Always appreciate your full takes, including how it's presented. One of a handful I check out to get some real takes from folks with rap genre experience. Thanks for sharing
Three Point shot - Hallelujah, also a reference to Leonard Cohen, which ties back into his God / Prayer theme-scheme as featured in.... The Hunger. He takes a theme and runs with it throughout multiple songs, without just using a repeated word to link it all together. It's another evolutionary step in setting up rhyme-schemes.
Yeah my bad just my first time on your channel. I love the breakdown in the history lesson or I should say the history reminder the video wasn’t too long I thought it might be a little too short. Anyway nice job..
Fantastic reaction and breakdown, as always!! Ren's lyrics are always so layered and this one is no exception. Plus paying homage to the greats ... 🔥🔥🔥 Thank you!
If music gets you through the bad times, whether it’s illness, poverty or both, then you will think and feel about it differently from artists who just want to make a fast buck. I’m not having a go at people who want to make a living, but it makes a difference.
Awesome reaction! So what’s next? Keep it on the retakes and try out “Losing It (Fisher retake)” which takes the super popular EDM song Losing It by Australian DJ Fisher, and makes it his own (and with ALL the flow switches that you’ll love)
Kids that don’t know the history of hip hop end up sounding like regurgitated 90’s rap with a faster tempo. Learn the history kids. People were rapping way before you were even born. Damn.
The lights go to 0 as he stops talks about pubs on pie day. School bus goes past as he's talking about old school. And check out that sweater. It says sickboy. Ren is on another level. Fact.

Pie's not pubs. Sorry.
This one is CRAMMED full of easter eggs for the fans to decipher. Ren makes puzzles. So effing clever 🥰
Ren also called out Nas aka Kid Wave with “ I’m the waviest guy”
"An isotope, a proton and a neutron in the nuclei/And split an atom in a fraction, a reaction..."
"Breaking Atoms" was the debut album for Main Source. One of the members of Main Source was Large Professor. Large Professor produced Halftime.
Ren's layers have layers.
Oh that's just crazy! 🤣 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
There's also another well known 'Large professor', and check out Einstein's Date of Birth.
Also… A reaction supersized me…. Reaction video’s to Hi Ren super sized him
And it's an atomic bomb! Lmaooo
The lines “hockey without ice, china without rice, bible without Christ” is from the comment section in the Nas - halftime video.
From there is also "...without noone to complain to."
It's a homage to Big L on his track The Big Picture. It's almost word for word.

Oh that's just crazy!! 😂 I never would have caught that. Lmao
So it’s “quarter time”? 😂
There goes @Renmakesmusic with his intense attention to detail again! 😊
I got into Ren via non rap. Now a rap journey has begun and I'm enjoying doing my homework. Cheers man. Good reaction.

Did you notice as Ren gives respect to “old school rappers” that have passed an old school bus goes by. Only Ren could do that.
