I was like no way, Ren doesn't do anything by accident, why would he steal a line from a track that's from the very era of hip-hop that he's paying homage to. It's definitely a tip of the hat to Big L.

I grew up late 80s early 90s and listen to most genres but I did give up on rap. I’m glad some newer artists do show respect and went back to great storytelling because I’ve been listening again.
