Do more ren reactions please. you really understand lyrics, music, cinematography etc. this is rare in reactors, and ren personifies all of these and more. It's very rewarding to watch.
I just finished binging all your Ren reactions. I am smiling so big right now!!!😁😁😁 I can't wait till you see the rest of the Sick boi album and then the older ones like ready for you and heretic 🥰🫠 Ren is more than special❤
I spent at least 2 years living from my couch because I couldn’t handle the stairs to my room. I get it. Ren speaks for us in a way that expresses our pain and helps us heal. So many struggle in silence 🤐
I listened to your, lust, 80-20 percent theory, with a cynically raised eyebrow but it was actually very insightful. More people should hear and pay attention to that, it would save a lot of heartache. Also I'm very much enjoying your reactions! ❤🔥
The beginning is welsh and translates to: Illness is my teacher It broke my smile My bones feel old Here lies the body of Ren Great reaction. Can't wait to see more reactions from Ren's Sick Boi album.
In an interview, Ren smiled when 'Urukai Master Plan' was mentioned and was excited someone heard it. He apparantly loves Lord of the Rings since he references the books in various songs. I feel this is a reference to the Nazi master plan as was writtin in LOTRO. Saruman wanted a master race of warriors to do his dirty work in Middle Earth. A reference to evil and associated various sins.
That 80/20 convo was actual enlightening. That is something I feel I know but I've never experienced anyone breaking it down in that way. 🔥🔥🔥 Ren said Money Game 3 was his greatest video and Seven Sins is possibly the greatest song he ever wrote to date. I think it was a masterpiece and is a great listen every time. Great reaction!!
This is track 1 on the album and Ren knew this would be the first exposure to him in alot of cases. So he did a short version of his 13 yr journey through pain, being faced with death and his spiritual experiences. One thing u will learn as u do more of his music is that while most artists go for all "sonically pleasing" sound design, he prefers to use alot more character driven tone changes like aggression for e.g to deliver messages. Lots of subtle bars are hard to pick up on like (forensic being for-ren-sick) and the depth of the lyricism in every song always starts conversations. You're gonna be in the top 3 reactors in no time, because u have the mind and the skillset. Enjoyed your reaction alot bro. I would love the hear u do the "Money Game" series by Ren, imo they are the most important 3 songs i've heard in decades. The first is live and took 180ish takes, the 2nd is a lyric video (covid era) and the 3rd is his biggest video production thus far. The messaging in these songs is beyond words i can use to describe them.
@@pauzeandrewind Please give it a listen . I'm an old man and young when Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix (who were great friends) were around the first time 😂🤫🙏✌️
Tears from Heaven is so good but so sad. He wrote it for his 4 year old son that died falling from window 53 stories up in NYC. “Would you know my name, if I saw you in heaven”😢
My man, I found REN last October and fell down the rabbit hole of videos and reactions HARD ever since. I’ve watched hundreds of reactions to most of his songs, but even though I just found you last night, you’re finding things I’ve never noticed or seen anyone else call out. Nice work man!
Oh hell yeah. Your thing about 80/20 is spot on. Nobody is 100%. No two people are completely compatible. Nobody can fulfill you in every possible way. No matter how good the relationship, there'll always be aspects of your self that you have to find other ways to fulfill. It goes both ways, too. If you want to find your 20%, and expect your partner to be flexible enough to allow you the freedom to do that, guess what? You have to let them find theirs, too. Sometimes that's literal, with an open relationship. More often, it's through friends or hobbies. Expecting one person to be your _everything_ is just a fantasy, and that fantasy only leads to disappointment, and before you know it, instead of hanging out with friends and doing things you love, you're hanging out with a bottle in a bar, or just so miserable you can't enjoy the 80% that you _do_ have. You're a sharp dude... you seem young to have that much wisdom, too. Although... you did talk about being in the music business for 20 years, plus college, which would probably make you about the same age as me. 🤔 I hope your partner got the analogy and isn't upset about not being 100%. That's a hard pill to swallow for someone who hasn't had that particular epiphany yet.
You like flow switches? You've come to the right place 😊 The Hunger, Losing it, Illest of Our Time, Genesis... I hear ya, you can't do them all but you should try 😂
Liked your analogy about the grass is greener. So true. Great reaction overall. For recs: "Illest of Our Time" for a song from the new Sick Boi album. "Humble" if you're looking for an older track (It features Eden Nash. Their "Ocean" is fire too.)
You would freak out if you heard "Masochist" From REN. Wrote it back in 2021 and didn't release it till couple months ago. Ren was in a very bad mental state and was so sick being in a sick body wanted everything to die. Kill everything. Powerful song.
When you hold yourself hostage in your house (or are physically stuck) it DOES become comfortable. As much as you WANT to venture out, its easier and less pressure to just stay where youre suppressed yet safe and comfortable. Stacie from Boston
Man, your 80/20 explanation was great. I'd been engaged for a couple years when I was in college. I loved him, but we had gotten comfortable. I definitely had that 80. He was just about everything I had ever looked for. Some guy in one of my classes caught my eye. We talked before and after class and had lunch together on campus. Then I sort of shook myself and thought wtf am I doing? I told that guy we couldn't even talk anymore. I realized I could give up the relationship I had to chase the new... and then do it all again in another few years... again and again. Always the new. Or I could have forever with someone. I'm happy to say we're nearly 26 years into forever. ❤
Sick Boi is an obvious suggestion but also Illest of our Time if you were surprised by the bars in this you have a shock to your system on it's way! Losing It, The Hunger and Murderer too. I enjoy your reactions they are intelligent and thoughtful. 😎
Dude those were some great words about the 20%. Especially listening to this song, where yeah sure it'd be easy to want the abilities Ren has, his voice, his ability to create music. Music that is possible to create because years of training. Years of pain. It's so easy, just as you say, to get blinded by the 20%. Man thanks, I love my life and myself just a bit more now. I am absolutely going to use your analogy, first and foremost talking to myself. Also good stuff calling out a good conversation, it's to be celebrated.
A bed where I'm always depressed/deep rest. The line before Hendrix and Kendricks was Cried Tears from Heaven like Clapton. Lots of reactors seem to miss that line.
@@pauzeandrewind That would explain it. Listen to it. It's very sad. It's about Clapton's 4 year old son Conor who was playing in his New York City apartment when on the morning of March 20, 1991 he accidentally fell to his death from the 53rd-floor through a window that had been inadvertently left open following janitorial work in the apartment.
Please react to Tears from Heaven by Eric Clapton - it's about the son he lost - the little boy fell from a balcony- and is referred to now and again@@pauzeandrewind
actually , those two bars were actually three... "Cried tears from Heaven like Clapton Stick pins in a voodoo, Hendrix Thick skin, stay humble, Kendrick" Eric Clapton wrote and performed a song, "Tears in Heaven" after the accidental death of his young son as a tribute to him..
My wife and I met an old boat driver in Disney World on our honeymoon, and when asked the secret of a long marriage, he said "it's 80/80." Not exactly what you were talking about here, but not entirely different either
Only recently found you, but already you’’re one of my favourite reactors. I really appreciate your intelligent, insightful breakdowns. With so many of the others , much of it just goes right over their heads 🫤

I watch many reviewers and the thing that irritates me the most is watching so many clueless people that stop it every few seconds with a remark that is not even close to what Ren is getting at. With that, I have to say you have the best insight into what Ren is trying to say, and actually don't mind your pauses at all. Thank you from this old man for giving me some faith that some people still have a brain, and you proved that so well.

Thinking back on what I know u've reacted to...u r going to ❤❤❤❤❤ this album...I haven't heard anything like it since the Marshall Mathers LP (as far as relevance). Do urself a favor & indulge in 19 tracks of hot 🔥!! Thanks for allowing me to share ur experience! #Ren #HavikNation
10:15 This verse is my favorite in the whole song. "Back then the pain sprayed, ricocheted like a MAC 10 Hot lead hit the bed I was trapped in Red wings, seraphim, out of God's grace Cried tears from Heaven like Clapton Stick pins in a voodoo, Hendrix Thick skin, stay humble, Kendrick Stay skeptic, check the biometrics Bloodstain, crime scene, forensics" 1: Ren compares his pain to the hot lead of a gun, the red seraphim angel was the one who put the hot coal to Isiah's lips to clense his sins. 2: cried tears from heaven- he tried religion to help him 3: stick pins in the voodoo Hendrix - he tried other forms of new age spirituality, exorcism, and ritual to help him. 4: thick skin, stay humble Kendrick- he accepted pain as his teacher 5: stay skeptic, check the biometrics- he ignored the gaslighting Doctors, religions and therapists and did his own research to help himself. 6: bloodstain, crime scene, forensic - the aftermath of everything he went through was like a crime scene and he was his own detective. forensic= for- Ren- sick, like "ren is sick" and he finally figured it out on his own.
Your options now are either going down the album list… with Sick Boi being next… most requested.. which most likely will be Wicked Ways… either way.. you will not be disappointed 😁… thanks for your great reactions!! I got sooo excited when this one dropped 😊😁
Love the 80/20 partnership idea. Wow! Makes so much sense! Love how you break down this song. Ren is ….what is he? lol. Dang, I heard someone describe him as the Swiss knife of music. Something like that. Have fun continuing on the Ren journey. ❤ New sub.
Hi! You came into my feed tonight. Binge watching your Ren reactions. Awesome! New subscriber! Love your intelligent, insightful, articulate reactions. You said you want to experience Ren's new stuff. I highly recommend his 'Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle' Retake and his 'Fred Again' mashup of five songs. Pure talent. Both live. Two of my new favorites! 🙋♀️💝
I had a 95 but I focused on the 5 and lost it all (Bending the law I know, but she truly was close to perfect) Pay attention to what you already have people... don't find out the grass isn't greener, and drown in a swamp
I Stumbled across your video because I’m a huge Ren fan. I just have to say that I absolutely love your 80/20 analogy! It puts a great perspective on relationships. This is coming from someone who has been married for 30 years in a faithful relationship. I would be lying if I said that I haven’t wondered if the grass was greener somewhere else. Luckily, I wasn’t tempted to find out because my husband isn’t perfect but he’s pretty close to it. So your analogy explains things very well.
This is the day he fell into psychosis after yet anothet treatment made things worse. Immune reaction left him in extreme pain and bittetness. 6 years into illness, still no correct diagnosis. Weight spiraled to 112 lbs at 6'1". The Welsh: Illness is my teacher It broke my smile My bones feel old Here lies the body of Ren. BTW: Tears from heaven-Clapton Pins Voodoo Hendrx Humble kendrick So 3 references there.
The 80/20 analogy was really interesting , I’ve never looked at it that way before. Other than the standard; wanting what you can’t have or shiny new toy perspectives. Enlightening convo and a great reaction 👏🏻
Right before Vodoo and Humble was “Cried tears from heaven like Clapton”. Eric Clapton the legendary guitar player wrote a song called Tears in Heaven, which he wrote after his 4 year old son died after falling from an apartment window in NYC.
You reminded me of when we lived on Okinawa where ppl practice hara hachi bu: the 80% rule. For longevity and health stop eating when you are 80% full. You don’t need that other 20%
As others have probably said because I'm late to your reaction there is a lyric video, it's well worth a reaction, you know we will turn up. One love from Scotland. 💙
I can’t wait for you to get to his live busking sessions with his band The Big Push on the streets of Brighton UK. First one to check should be I Shot the Sheriff/ Road to Zion/ Hip Hop mashup. You talk about his layers, here is another one, he is very soulful. (He had to leave his group a year ago because he was and is still getting medical treatment in Canada.) If you wanna see Ren do the most outrageous flow switches please checkout Losing It (Fisher Rap version) his pen is amazing.
Great reaction, dude, but this stuff goes way back, Rens first band was called Trick the Fox.. this is when he was in his early twenties .This was the time when Sony had signed him up,but because of his illness, the contract ended up voided as he couldn't meet the commitments required from the contract.. Then there's:The big push.. Rens 2nd band.. And then there are the duets with Chinchilla and Bibi.. And a whole load of other Ren content out there.. Check out Losing it, the Hunger, and Genesis.. Oh, and the Tales of Jenny, Screech, and Violet . Enjoy the rabbit hole 🕳 😊
Seven Sins was the last track Ren wrote for the Sick Boi album and one of my favourites - great opening track for the album. Cannot wait to see you check out more of the Sick Boi album though. So many great tracks to choose from. Would love to see you check out any tracks from the album but Wicked Ways is 🔥. I also love Illest of Our Time. Have really enjoyed binging your Ren reactions this week. Looking forward to the next one.

1: Ren compares his pain to the hot lead of a gun, the red seraphim angel was the one who put the hot coal to Isiah's lips to clense his sins.
2: cried tears from heaven- he tried religion to help him
3: stick pins in the voodoo Hendrix - he tried other forms of new age spirituality, exorcism, and ritual to help him.
4: thick skin, stay humble Kendrick- he accepted pain as his teacher
5: stay skeptic, check the biometrics- he ignored the gaslighting Doctors, religions and therapists and did his own research to help himself.
Great breakdown, really enjoyed it!
10:52 three bars:
Cried tears from Heaven like Clapton
Stick pins in a voodoo, Hendrix
Thick skin, stay humble, Kendrick
With Ren his stuff isn't necessarily put out in order. Great reaction!
Didn’t see Ren!s comment. You should pin it to the top of your comments!
It's pinned on Jenny and Screech
Love the 80/20 talk. Hit me hard. Makes perfect sense.
Bro... he has tons more tracks that youll truly enjoy!!!
Cat has more layers than an onion, more Bars than a Prison!!!
Love the 80/20 partnership idea. Wow! Makes so much sense! Love how you break down this song. Ren is ….what is he? lol. Dang, I heard someone describe him as the Swiss knife of music. Something like that. Have fun continuing on the Ren journey. ❤ New sub.
😁
Ren only makes music he loves... "Love music pt 3" another favorite ❤
🙋♀️💝
I had a 95 but I focused on the 5 and lost it all
(Bending the law I know, but she truly was close to perfect)
Pay attention to what you already have people... don't find out the grass isn't greener, and drown in a swamp
The Welsh:
Illness is my teacher
It broke my smile
My bones feel old
Here lies the body of Ren.
BTW: Tears from heaven-Clapton
Pins Voodoo Hendrx
Humble kendrick
So 3 references there.
The line before, 'pain makes money when the music lands' sets it up perfectly... "Irony could kill a man". :)
The 80/20 analogy was really interesting , I’ve never looked at it that way before. Other than the standard; wanting what you can’t have or shiny new toy perspectives. Enlightening convo and a great reaction 👏🏻
Thank you!
This is my fav track right now but I do also love losing it, I've now subscribed to your channel cant wait to binge your ren reactions
Ren produced all his own music
Thank you for your reaction ! If you so wish, please do wicked ways from ren as well if you said you like flow switches . Happy new year !
The Hunger is full of flow switches as well, just a very short video.
@@natb5187 Yep, I second this!
I loved ur 80% analogy when talking about lust
New subscriber here. Fire reaction🔥🔥 I love the 20/80 % awesome description, I'm taking that with me! Ren is on a different level, dare I say mission
🙌🏽
Right before Vodoo and Humble was “Cried tears from heaven like Clapton”. Eric Clapton the legendary guitar player wrote a song called Tears in Heaven, which he wrote after his 4 year old son died after falling from an apartment window in NYC.
You reminded me of when we lived on Okinawa where ppl practice hara hachi bu: the 80% rule. For longevity and health stop eating when you are 80% full. You don’t need that other 20%
That's very true!
I... LOVE... this reaction, sorry I'm late to the party.... subscribed.
Thanks!
Clapton. Hendrix. Kendrick.
As others have probably said because I'm late to your reaction there is a lyric video, it's well worth a reaction, you know we will turn up.
One love from Scotland. 💙
👍🏻
Great information thank you. I think he’s going to enjoy his trip.
Thanks for all the info!
Really enjoyed your breaking down the 80/20 discussion. Keep up the great insights and great reactions!
Loved your breakdown of this song. It was heartfelt too your viewers. No one is 100. We all have faults. ❤
Great analogy.❤
Think you’d like ‘Wicked Ways’. The change of flow is ridiculous. Great reaction. Thanks 👍
Can't wait to check it out!
Great reaction brother. Everyone catches the Hendrix and Kendricks bar but they miss the first one..Tears in Heaven by Clapton
🔥reaction & break down to this banger, opening the album with this one was genius, but we’ve come to learn that Ren & his team know exactly what their doing - such an intelligent & talented group of humans/friends 🙏❤️
