An easier way to tell if someone likes you a lot is that they make it a point to be in your life and to know how you're doing. They show genuine concern for your well being even when it's not warranted or asked for... and then people self sabotage by not being honest about how they truly feel. I think the drive to be "polite" to others or being aggressive to avoid others equally turns people off from wanting to love or help other people and this is very common.

this helps me show body language to people i genuinely like. i genuinely like the people around me, but i have a hard time showing it and it may seem sometimes that i don’t. (example: me not smiling enough/looking mean and angry even though i am not).

I had a friend who I eventually developed strong feelings for and I've never felt such feelings for anyone before. We were good friends, texting everyday and staying up late at night chatting, that kinda thing. She did display some of these signs and I took it as her seeing me as a friend. Then I feel distance between us and eventually I find that she got into a relationship and the guy doesn't like me messaging her. I feel the same way dude. I had someone I that I had a close connection to even though we were friends, and I’m pretty sure he felt the same way back then. He even wrote a song for me and a letter. We would text and call each other almost everyday, until he got a girlfriend and stopped talking to me completely saying that I was the one trying to keep my distance from him. Now we don’t talk at all.

I’ve been in a weird, depressing spot in life recently, but honestly I think I finally found someone I *want* to be friends with… a lot. I like him, he’s sort of everything I wanted in a friend. I haven’t talked to him *too* much, but I feel okay around him. Time goes by faster, I feel more comfortable than anyone else. (And I got an Anxiety Disorder, so social interaction is scary).
I think he likes talking to me too. He’s normally quiet and stand off-ish, but he talks to me and isn’t distancing himself from me.
I’m so happy, I think it will work out.
